Five of us celebrated a milestone birthday and had lunch. Everyone loved their selections. I can highly recommend the crab cake! The room was well decorated for the holiday season and we were seated next to a gas fireplace. All in all, it was a top notch experience.
Although this was my wife’s birthday and I listed that on the reservation and the hostess talked about my wife’s birthday when we were seated, my wife did not get a candle on her dessert. I did not mention putting a candle on her dessert because of the two facts above. Duling and Kurtz is a very fine restaurant, but the clearly let me down. I am disappointed.
Great meal. Wonderful service - she was exceptional.
Always exceptional food and service. Special thanks to June for making our anniversary so memorable
Absolutely a wonderful evening. Our waitress Amy went above and beyond. The food was outstanding. Best puff pastry around.
We went for our 35th anniversary, the atmosphere was perfect. Our dinner was delicious and our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. Would highly recommend.
We took our friends to the D-K House for a special 50th Anniversary Dinner. It could not have been nicer. Our table was beside the lovely walk-in fireplace which was very welcoming and warmed us up on a cold night. The menu selections are numerous and there's something to suit everyone's taste. Cocktails were excellent and we were given plenty of time to relax and chat (and eat 2 scrumptious popovers with lemon curd) before ordering our meals. Our server, Bonnie, was very professional and helpful with the menu. The food was excellent! All in all this was an outstanding evening and we will definitely be returning in the future.
A beautiful restaurant. The staff is very cheerful and thoughtful. I had the seafood cioppino which was fabulous. My husband had the wiener schnitzel which was good. The Austrian apple strudel that I had for dessert was unusual, almost like a soft cheesecake in phyllo, with nuts and golden raisins. Delicious. It has become our favorite place for dinner!
We had a lovely anniversary dinner here. Waiter was helpful and pleasant and the meal was exquisite. Will return and highly recommend.
Lovely food, lovely ambiance
Ambience, setting and food were all excellent. However, we were seated next to 2 larger groups that made it difficult to fully enjoy the evening. I would recommend a room only for couples if possible.
I ordered the short rib. Delicious with gravy ,mashed potatoes. So tender and delicious! Excellent blood orange martini.
The setting is lovely and the service couldn't be better. Food was very tasty and our waitress Michelle was quite attentive without being in the way.
Absolutely! We always love it here and have a great dinner. Amy was our server this time and she was great!
Dinner with family members who had not experienced the restaurant in the past. It was again excellent from their popovers to the lobster crepes. Wonderful ambiance and a very enjoyable experience.
The meal was outstanding as well as the service. Will recommend to friends and expect to return.
Great restaurant from special events to an intimate dinner for two. Outstanding food and service. Very accommodating chef who handles all special requests to insure you have a perfect meal.
The food, service and ambiance are all outstanding here. We will be back.
Outstanding in every way. Lovely location, delicious food, Cynthia, our server, was attentive, knowledgeable, and very pleasant. It is a favorite place for an upscale dining experience.
Great food! Great service! Great!
Lovely atmosphere, wonderful service, delicious luncheon offerings. Need I say more?
Went for a birthday, treated well. Food and service good as usual.
This is one of my favorites so cost and romantic!! The food never disappoints
Service and food was perfection. Will go back as at least 5 more entrees I want to experience, not to mention the desserts. Service by Amy was incredible. Was my wife’s birthday and she really enjoyed the Duling-Kurtz!
We’ve dined here many times. Always delicious. Service this time was uncharacteristically below norm. It appeared they were a bit overwhelmed by a larger than expected number of people for a Friday evening. Our server did seem to disappear for long periods of time but she did apologize for the delay in getting our meals and she did explain the problem. Fully understood and as I mentioned not like it normally is.
This is the first time I have dined here. Thought the food was very good. Our server did a very nice job in explaining the menu choices. we are planning on coming back in the near future.
Excellent as always!
Service by Thaddeus was fantastic. Food was good but not outstanding. We ate in the little room for two which was very nice.
My husband and I try to come to Duling Kurtz at least once a year on our anniversary. This year we had Michael as our waiter and he was awesome. We are going to try and come back at least once every other month. We are going to try the overnight stay one time. I tell everyone about your restaurant.
Great meal, Amy our server was outstanding.
Got a little noisy when a group of 4 was seated next to us, but it did not ruin our night
Make sure you never have waitress by the name of Sarah. She was the worse we ever experienced. Ordered our drinks. She took more than 5 minutes to open a bottle of wine for a table of four next to us. Blaming it on the opener. She then comes out to another table to prepare a table side ceasar salad. Now we’re waiting over 15 plus minutes. Finished leaves the room and cones back out to prepare another table side ceasar salad. Going on 20 minutes. My husband gets up and asks her when can we get our drinks? She was very rude, very loud, shakes her head stating- Excuse me! My husband came back to our table sits down. She walks over to our table with the basket of ceasar salad in her hand, stares down in my husbands face saying, your drinks are at the bar, I can only do one thing at a time! She was just very rude. The whole room was looking and obviously saw what was going on. It was very embarrassing. We just got up and left. Did let the hostess know. She was apologetic. I told her we never had this experience before.
This was our second experienc. Great food, nice and quiet. Your servers are a bit off the game. Both times, they tended to get a little too personal with the patrons. Friendly is one thing, but your guests want to enjoy the evening with those at their table.
Great dinner. Always a good time.
We had a great meal with the most amazing waitress we have had in a long time.
We had a very nice meal . One of the few restaurants which makes a tableside caesar salad, excellent. The specials including the goat cheese cheesecake with pine nut crust were outstanding.
Our server, Amy, was just amazing. She was fun, helpful, and very attentive. The bartender,Michael was also amazing. We will be back, especially on Friday to hear jazz and have another one if those tasty mojitos and escargot.
Thank you Amy for a great Saturday evening.
Very pleasant ambience. Excellent server (Amy) and service. The menu was fantastic. Cocktails were not skimpy and a suggested wine was delicious. We will certainly return.
We had a lovely evening. The restaurant is beautiful. The grounds are lovely. Our waitress was a gem - enthusiastic and helpful. The menu was nicely balanced. My wife loved her pan fried alligator. My sauteed foie gras was nice. The pop overs served instead of bread were delightful as was the lemon curd to put on them. The deserts were excellent. The wine by the glass list was pedestrian -- we had a drinkable Cabernet but it was very ordinary. On the other hand with my desert I drank an XO Armagnac which was very nice and reasonably priced. All in all this was a great country restaurant, one that we will return to.
I always enjoy Duling Kurtz. The food was great and our server was wonderful. Good service and a great sense of humor.
