They charged 20% service charge PLUS 25%TIP..without prior disclosure. Food quality D+.
Waiter appeared to be under the influance of drugs or alcohol...STRONGLY Do NOT recommed this place.
Do not eat here!
Was out first time here. My husband had the filet which he said was very good. He didn’t care for the garlic mashed potatoes. I had a seafood dish also was very good. The string beans were very salty. The wait staff was awesome. Very attentive. We are planning on going back. We would recommend Dulcet.
Not my first visit to Dulcet and will not be my last. The beef served here is on par with any of the "name" restaurants in Tampa. Chateaubriand finished table side , perfectly cooked and nearly fork tender. Service was attentive without being intrusive. If you like Berns and Charlies in Tampa , you will be impressed by the food available in down town New Port Richey.
This is our second time going to Dulcet and both times we were very happy with everything.
This time, our waiter was extremely helpful...Very nice & attentive. At one point, I went to get some meat from the carving station and there was no one there. I went to my dear waiter and he quickly went right over and carved me a slice....
Great place. We went with friends who had no been there and they also loved it.
Easter brunch buffet, $30 a head. We had a reservation. First, we were shown to a table where everyone would brush past on on their way to and from the buffet. Eventually we were able to move. The buffet was very ordinary, the hot food was mostly cold, no potatoes when we were there. While we were at the buffet one of the waiters cleared away everything on our table. It took ages to get it reset. It was like eating in a cafeteria. $2.75 extra for coffee. And then they had the effrontery to add a "mandatory" service charge of 20% for service which was either very poor or non-existent.
Enjoyable evening at Dulcet. All menu items were available and food quality was spot on. Gentleman playing the steel drum was quite enjoyable. Will be back again.
We went on St Patrick day and it was all to ourselves except two other couples! Dinner was good and there was entertainment that was very good.
Our wine choice wasn’t available and waiter brought different wine but would not sell it as same price as our choice.! Don’t want to look like a cheap skate but wine is marked up so much.
Our waiter was very friendly, did a good job for only being with them for 4 days!
Very disappointed! Party of four and 2 out of the 4 orders they didn't have. Sold out of. Didn't find this out until 30 minutes after the order was put in. Waiting 30 minutes for 1st cocktail. Very slow service and food was just ok. Not sure we will be back.
Food was good and music was Wonderful as always!!!
This by far was the most disappointing dining experience I've had in years. Went to restaurant to find live music...which normally is fine...it was a Saturday night. The entertainment was a talentless wanna be Elvis impersonator including juggling and hula hooping? Off key every song... And the food....we couldn't even order. We were told two items we had considered getting we not available and that their "fresh" seafood was only delivered once a week. Their beef is not aged..not prime..not Angus...we were told it's just choice grade. How do you offer chateaubriand with choice grade meat and charge $75 for it. We paid for our drinks that we had ordered and walked out. We will not be returning.
Very good food was great the music was great
This is truly a little gem in the middle of New Port Richey. If you're in the area do not miss this restaurant!
The only 5-Star restaurant in the New Port Richey, Port Richey and Hudson area.
We entertain all our clients and guests at Dulcet.
Food is excellent, large selection and nice bar.
Friday night music and entertainment is outstanding.
Thumbs up from the Top Mobility Team.
This was my first Valentines Day dinner with my wife. No one was at the door to greet us or other patrons. Waited nearly 10 minutes for a waiter in a dirty apron to tell us to wait. He had to bring in tables from outside and then try to find chairs for it. After another 10 minutes I had to find him to ask for menus. Our waitress was one of the bartenders who would eventually come around to take our order. Finally, after an hour and a half, we got our main course. Asked for salt and pepper 3 times and then had to go to the bar to get it myself. Music was too loud for the size of the space. Waiter who seated us agreed with me that you were “overbooked” and apologized for the extreme inconvenience. Considering our experience there, I will neither return nor recommend the restaurant to anyone, and my wife is in complete agreement with me.
We went here for Valentine's Day dinner. Reservation was for 6:30 and seated by 6:45, not bad considering those who had earlier reservations did not want to leave once entertainment started.
It was Valentines Day so one knows the pitfalls that can be but the food was good, service was understandably slowish, and the music was great. I will revisit another time when it's not the worlds most celebrated holiday.
This was the worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant. What we thought would be a Valentine's romantic evening was ruined by the horrible service. Reservation was useless, had to wait to be seated, then seated at a dirty table, had to ask for linen to be changed and menu's. Waited for over an hour after ordering with no one checking on us or asking if we needed anything. Needless to say we left without dining.
Over booked waited 70 minutes for appetizers and another hour and a half for our ontrays witch one came cold. VALENTINES DAY WORST MEAL EVER!
We had our reservation for a nice Valentine’s dinner and we got seated at an upper level bar area with a high top table. I asked for a regular table but the guy couldn’t do it and just walked off. We waited about 15 minuets before the hostess came to start taking our order . After that it took 3 hours to get through the dinner. I don’t blame the hostess as there was just two of them to cover the upstairs and bar, just really understaffed and was probably the same in the kitchen. We will never return.
the food was excellent but the service was very slow
I made a reservation online for lunch on Valentines Day and arrived to find Dulcet
A notice on the door said lunch is cancelled effective Feb. 1. It would be good to let your web designer know.
Very disappointed and it’s ridiculous to have to give ‘stars’ for nothing.
Noise level too high. Everything echoes in there.
We went to celebrate our 24th anniversary on Feb 13th. We made a reservation. Upon arriving we stood inside the door at the desk for 5 minutes waiting and no one came to speak to us. Finally a customer eating at a table waved us in.
The website said there would be a jazz band. It was only 1 guy with a clarinet and a sax.
My husband ordered Dulcet Chicken. It came with 2 pieces of Shrimp. The shrimp smelled funny and tasted like dirty sea water. 4 hours later and my husband became sick to his stomach. By morning he said we would never go back there.
Less than impressed with this restaurant. Pricing was ok but I won't try it again.
although the food and service was excellent, the music was way to loud for a dining environment, the music was also excellent but way too loud for dinng I was also pleasantly surprised with the price of a glass of quality wineunlike other places, they didnt try to make a killing
They were out of three items we wanted, poor ordering, and this was a Friday. Music was too loud, could have been quite a bit lower and would have been the better ambiance. Food, however, was fantastic.
poor service -------menu not accepted lonely building didnt need reserrvations when i said my name its like who r u
The place needs some serious TLC. The food is overpriced and not cooked appropriately. The server was friendly but not very efficient or knowledgeable.
I went with my boyfriend and we both loved it everything was great from the appetizer to the desert! We will definitely go back again. Next time we'll probably have seating outside.
Very nice upscale dining in New Port Richey. Big plus is the live music during dinner.
Pathetic, don't waist your time or money. Since then have head from four others that won't ever go back.
Missed the mark. We gave Dulcet a second try after a disappointing first visit when they first opened. This experience was worse. Where do I start? I saw a prior review that their OpenTable reservation was missed, so I called to confirm. It seemed like they didn't have it, so he looked it up while I waited. The restaurant was FREEZING since they left the front door open on a 30 degree night. No surprise the food came out cold (again) and was bland. My Chicken Dulcet was mushy, no taste, and cold. The wine list went from cheap wines I could get at Publix to $200 bottles. There was supposed to be music (guy on piano) but the stage was bare and we were listening to what sounded like a boom box in the loud bar area of one large party. Overall, not worth the second try. Save your money. We won't be back.
Food was superb. Waiter had a problem and took it out on his customers. Whatever made him angry he needs to control it for the customers.
Disappointing to say the least. Booked a lunch reservation for 10 people using OpenTable in Jan. When we arrived, our eldest guest of 94 tripped on a rolled up rug in the doorway. Quick reactions prevented a serious injury. Reported it to waitress who had no concern whatsoever. When we went in they had no record of our reservation. I pulled out my phone to show the confirmation & was told her IPad was dead so she had no idea. She was only wait staff there. Our service was extremely slow. Waited quite a while just for our waters. We were there close to 2 hours, most of it waiting for water, orders to be given, orders to be received. Also, we were the only customers there. Food was OK but do recommend more choices of items that aren't spicy for older folks on lunch menu. Will not go again for lunch.
My husband and I dined at Dulcet recently. Service was horrible. My salad tasted like straight vinegar. Waitress never asked how things were nor gave me a chance to tell her. We ordered an appetizer, they were out of it.... then husband ordered Rib Eye entree they were out of it. It was 7:30... not end of open hrs.
Filet was very good and my salmon was good but mostly potatoes with very small piece of fish.
Won’t go back soon as they have much to work out.
very good food, relaxing, good service, prices adequate for the type of food
Great time celebrating New year's Eve, food was great and music was entertaining. Would definitely go back.
Food was cold except salad was good. Had to ask for silvereare every course there was no salt and pepper on table. It was just a disaster . Was sat by side door and they were setting up band for the night. So, they were coming in and out slamming door and dragging equipment. First and last time there very disappointing commercial is very deceiving.
The staff was a little lacking in seeing to their guest. Maybe because I had a book to read while dining. I had to ask for my server to come to the table. Very good food for the money.
I used open table for a reservation but the front desk gad no computer to see my online reservation? So now i miss out on 100 points. Prime rib was good music good for a wednesday but loud.. might check out a Saturday instead
Wednesday night prime rib. Huge portion along with baked potato and delicious veggies, nice prep, good salad (could have been a bit bigger) and bread with a side of oil with roasted garlic in it. Very nice meal at a very nice price.
