Stopped here as I was traveling down the PCH, and I would make a special trip to go back as well as make a point to go to their other locations.

The staff was super friendly, very welcoming, the view was stunning, and the food was just incredible.

Our goal is to visit all the TS restaurants. (Only Lake Tahoe and La Jolla remain on our list.) I'm not a fan of the art deco style in Malibu. We prefer Hawaiian style. However, the food and drinks lived up to the TS standards. We'll be back.

We made reservations but ended up sitting in the bar area to have access to the regular menu. We ordered an amazing lilikoi ceviche and a delicious burger. The bloody marys were good and only $6. The view of the ocean was gorgeous and we saw a pod of porpoises.

We asked for and got a seat by the window so we watched the ocean during our meal. Beautiful. Our server, Sal, was absolutely amazing. He’s obviously experienced— he spoke clearly, he knows his menu, and our water and drinks were always full. The seafood was fresh and delicious and not overpriced. Not super- fancy but fancy enough. And the free dessert- macadamian ice cream with chocolate sauce and whip cream, yummy. A perfect evening!

I was celebrating my girl friend's birthday and decided it would be nice to drive down the coast highway on a Saturday evening from Manhattan Beach to Malibu . I have been to Duke's in the past and also have visited a couple of the other locations including Kauai. I had mentioned that I was celebrating a birthday for Susan when I made the reservations. Fortunately it was not a busy Saturday evening which I suppose was due to the World Series being played at Dodger Stadium. The food was delicious and the service was prompt and the staff was friendly. I glad they remembered that it was Susan's birthday when the server brought over to our table a large Hula pie desert with a candle as a birthday celebration. It was complimentary and delicious which made the celebration even better. I would recommend Duke's as a great place to celebrate a birthday.

This place has definitely seen better days. They are trading off their location on the water. The furniture is old and worn and need to refresh. The lighting is harsh and over done. The mai tai was not good sweet and taste like it been made from mix and not real juice. Entrées were OK but we’re Luke warm and we’re on remarkable. Server was nice and efficient. The restaurant needs a complete remodel like Jake’s Del Mar. Also new management and new cooks. Avoid

My friend and I were only in LA for one night. A friend recommended Duke’s so we made a last minute reservation and drove out. WE WERE SO HAPPY WE DID!!!! Our meal was excellent! From the appetizers to the surprise birthday dessert (yay me!) it was incredible. Special shout out to the hostesses and our waiter Trevor for being so gracious and knowledgeable. Made the evening super special. We WILL be back!

I have loved this place for years! We have at least one meal here every time we visit the west coast. This time however our meal
Was ruined by the presence of multiple House flies and fruit flies around our table . We finally asked for a different table, giving up
Our window seats, when one of the insects decided to swim in my wine glass. The waitress was nice enough about our request. Not sure if she notified management. We noticed several
Other parties swatting the air as they ate. I will give them one
More chance next time
I am here. I hope they can solve this problem. MK

restaurant was VERY casual and noisy! Staff was friendly but busy. [Although very nice guys] Valets were crazy speed demons going thru the lot! Food was only mediocre (with the EXCEPTION of the LARGE delicious Hula Pie!! save room for dessert!!) ... drinks were small (heavy on the ice). The biggest attraction was the gorgeous view of the ocean & sunset.

We came for the Sunday brunch and were not disappointed! Our waiter, Trevor, was outstanding. He was quick withthe mimomosas and our view by the water was fabulous. Since we arrived right at the opening, the buffet was hot and fresh. There are so many choices, so give yourself plenty if time to eat.

My friend and I come to Duke's for our birthdays. We love the food, the ambiance, the view and the complimentary mud pie as a birthday treat. We love that dessert!!! This time Mahi Mahi was available so I asked the waitress if they could make it with the Parmesean Herb crusted mac-nut coating and she said "yes". What a treat! It was great and my friend loved his ribs!! The bread is wonderful and the caesar salad too. Thank you, Duke's for making his birthday celebration special!! Mahalo!!

Disappointed that we couldn't get seat right next to window without waiting for 30 minutes even though we had made reservations 10 days before with that special request. That being said we could still see the ocean, just further away. Mac crusted fish and bok choy salad were delish as was key lime pie. Waitress was very good.

Duke's Malibu is the perfect spot for oceanfront dining. The meals are always fresh and delicious and the prices reasonable. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the fresh fish of the day selections, which can be prepared a variety of ways. Nothing beats Duke's Hula Pie for dessert! If you play your cards right, you may even meet the original "Gidget"!

We have been going to Dukes in Malibu for 12 years. I have a couple of criticisms though. The windows were very dirty.
The fish chowder has become tasteless and as thick as mud in the last few years.
The last three times I have visited Dukes for both lunch and dinner this calendar year the women's bathroom was not very clean and the trash can was overflowing onto the floor. The location is great, The food is generally consistent and the price is moderate to high

We came here for late lunch/early dinner to celebrate my in-laws 50th anniversary. They’ve never been here, but he had. As expected, we were promptly seated (reservations were made in advance) and my request for a window seat was honored.

It was a perfect sunny day for enjoying the unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean, the splashing waves, the food and of course, the excellent service. Thank you Duke’s for making this an even more memorable occasion!

We have visited Duke's on many occasions in the past and found the food, service and ambiance exceptional. Since our last visit there appears to have been a significant change in decor and service. We found that the chair upholstery to be soiled, the general appearance of the restaurant was not in keeping with the Duke's atmosphere we have come to enjoy. While our server was very courteous and professional, we noticed that many of the non-server staff lacked the same level of courtesy and professionalism. As an example, one of the young men responsible for setting up seating for guests actually walked across the seats of several chairs in order to get our from behind a table he was moving. It just wasn't the Duke's experience we have come to expect and enjoy.
