Fun! Great sunset views! Fresh delicious fish!
Very good in all respects. Always consistent !!! Been there many times and will go back many more !!!
ok but not the best. had another really great meal at same price elsewhere.
like the more casual bar area food prep more than the upper level.
Waiter was great. Food was fine.
Awesome, atmosphere and service was above standards. Our waiter was the best. Lots of kudos for him!
Great food for the price. Kick back and relax atmosphere. Even got a complimentary hula pie to celebrate the occasion👍
Fantastic location before leaving or after landing.
The view of the bay is expansive.
The salad bar is over the top.
Never had a bad meal or experience at this Dukes location.
We last had Hula Pie on our honeymoon 12 months ago. Worth every minute of wait to have it at our one year anniversary dinner!
Great food and service.
Dukes is one of our favorites. Great salad bar and decent main courses. Steak isn’t the best. Wife gave me hers cause she had a hard chewing it. Super tuff. Had the lobster which was much better. Would recommend any of fish dishes. Always prepared just right.
Everything was great hence the reason why we tipped 40%....
Absolute favorite restaurant on the island. No comparison to the one in Malibu - this location is far superior. The salad bar is the best! Their pre-made salad choices in the salad bar are so delicious and fresh. The fresh, warm muffin and bread choices are yummy and the drinks are amazing. Try the fresh fish of the day in mac nut crusted.
We've never been disappointed with Dukes. A beautiful atmosphere with great tasting food. Love the waterfront seating and the waitstaff is always friendly. My husband and I always celebrate Valentine's Day at Dukes on either Kauai or Maui.
Overall, the dining experience was very good, with the setting of the restaurant being outstanding. The only issue that we had was our order of King Crab legs- not up to par.
Otherwise, it was a good experience.
We had to wait 15 minutes despite a reservation. The hostess seated a party who appeared to be friends of hers as soon as they walked up.
Ambiance great. We both had fish dishes that were good. Crab cakes flavorful but more mushy than crisp. Overall both food and service pretty average. We probably wouldn’t go back. To many better choices available in the area. Also, it was raining and parking is quite a walk from parking. We did notice, when we were leaving, there was valet parking.
Fast service and good food. If your at the Marriott this is good service with good casual food. The drinks are small pours . Had vodka on the rocks and it did not look like even a shot. Same for second drink and i did mention it to the server before second drink. He said that is how the bartender pours them.
Whenever we visit Kauai we look forward to dining at Duke’s. Food and service are consistently great and I love their salad bar - a rarity in Hawaii.
We celebrated my 50th here. The view was breathtaking. The food and salad bar were excellent. Our server was excellent--Ryan?. Great atmosphere!! We would come back for sure!
Duke’s Kaua’i never disappoints. We’ve been coming here for over 10 years and it is consistently excellent. The service and ambiance is great too!
Wait staff was awesome. Kimi was so helpful and attentive.
What a great night out! Everything was perfect from the valet to the t-shirt purchase! Service was exceptional and so was the food. Great views!
I loved the fact that since we had a reservation we didn't have to wait very long before we were seated. The waiter was very personable and attentive even though he was busy. The food was very delicious, enjoyed every bite. Nice atmosphere, beautiful view and the tables weren't so close that we were able to have our own conversation without hearing someone else's. Overall enjoyed it very much. Only complaint was that we were too full to order Duke's famous hula pie!
We loved our dinner! Our server, Jeremy, was very attentive. Great experience!
We have always loved Dukes Waikiki. I think because we had always thought of that Dukes as 5 Stars this Dukes in Kauai was a disappointment. First we had a honorable time trying to locate the restaurant and nobody answers the phone if you call for directions. GPS does not get you even close. Then when we mentioned this at check in for our reservation the girl could care less. The salad bar was average and do not compare to Dukes Waikiki. The service was very average or slightly below a average when we have always had excellent serve Pace in Waikiki. The dinner was also not up to the standards we are use to. The restaurant is beautiful and the setting is beautiful.
The food is exceptionally good and an excellent value. The service was very good, but courses came back to back to back, so we felt a little rushed.
The salad bar was not well maintained and the two overseers just put out a little lettuce and far too much dressing. My husband's Hula chicken breast was flavorless and poorly plated. The only s"side" was a tiny bit of basmati rice. A total disappointment over all.
Wonderful meal and drinks! The only thing they need to fix is to have another women’s bathroom. Two stall bathroom for that size and quality of a restaurant is ridiculous!
Duke's has always been one of our favorites in San Diego and Kauai. The atmosphere in San Diego is more exclusive, while Kauai is more casual. The food was very good, and the salad bar was very good. I ordered lobster and enjoyed it very much. My mixed vegetables were not warm enough. My husband would not order the skewers again- they were not memorable. The ambiance was beautiful on the bay, and we enjoyed that the most. You can't see the sunset, but that wasn't important. Paddle boarders, volleyball players, passing kayaks were fun to watch. Parking is a bit precarious and you will probably have to park in a lower lot. The Huli Pie was awesome for dessert- don't miss that!! We will be back!
The food and service was amazing.they have a really good salad bar and the view is beautiful.we had a party of 10 and our waiter was the best.
