Good food, great service. We would come back. Very good dining experience. Our server was GREAT!
Great food with multiple menu options. Only place we saw on the island with a salad bar. Value just as good as anywhere on the island. Cannot beat the views and ambiance.
Excellent food, service & ambiance!
Great place spectacular views! Average food but great dessert!
It was amazing, waiter was nice, took photos of me and my sister when I asked, and all of the workers had beautiful big smiles!❤️ food was delicious!! People who go there are nice, some are some what rude, but eh whatever! Definitely recommend!!!
This is always my first stop when I land in love lihue.... great service great food great atmosphere.... a true Hawaiian legend. You will not be disappointed... ever... at Dukes
It was nice but a bit expensive
Great waitress and fun live music! Food was delicious!
Our favorite restaurant on Kauai. Excellent service and perfectly prepared entrees. Highly recommend!
The salad bar was well-stocked and had a good variety. The food was also excellent. Portions were generous, and the waitress (Kimi) was simply outstanding. The best service ever!
Service from Pua was excellent, salad bar fresh and extensive, ahi sashimi perfect. My husband’s prime rib was perfectly prepared as well with a good size portion.
Our waitress, Blaise, was terrific. She made sure my wife's 70th birthday dinner was perfect. Great food, great view, great service.
Duke's is a great place for waterfront dining with views. Their food is excellent, but not superb. The Hula Pie is a must. Don't go here if you are wanting a good glass of Scotch. They only had around 4 brands, such as J&B, Johnny Walker Red, etc. I love Macallan 12 year and they said no. I haven't been to a nice restaurant in a long time that didn't carry Macallan. Even the Oasis by the Sea restaurant in our condo (Waipouli Beach Resort) has Macallan. So stick to those foo foo beach drinks or go for beer/wine. If you order a Tropical Itch, it comes with a bamboo back-scratcher. Had the Ono cooked Duke's style with lemon flavor, etc. It was good, but just a little dry. It came with Black Rice which I had never tried before. It was okay, but not as tasty as my wife's rice she got with her dinner. Also had veggies, carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower. I also had the seafood chowder which has bacon/ham in it. It was great. The prices are actually not bad compared to many restaurants on the island. The fish dinners were $28 to $32. I pay more in Seattle for a good seafood dinner. If you go early, you can sit in the bar and get great food and drink deals for happy hour. It is right at beach level and has views of the water and the small stream that flows through the center of the restaurant. Overall I like this place and have come back several times.
Hostess station was a little slacking but other than that good experience
Love the indoor “jungle” feel. Would have liked to sit a table with ocean view, but it was okay.
Dishes are rather pricey- I feel like guests are taken advantage of due to the fact that the restaurant is on resort grounds, so the prices are jacked up,
Amazing experience. Highly recommend. Very nice ambiance and food is unbeatable.
Great food and great value. Our best meal of our vacation so far!
Dukes was amazing! The food was delicious and the prices are right around Los Angeles prices. The view is fantastic, the server was great and the Hula Pie dessert was the absolute best! My entire family loved it and said they are ready to visit again! Wonderful place!
The service was good, but very slow. The interior feels a bit dated. The biggest issue we had was that the kid’s kraft Mac and cheese had Parmesan cheese added to it, which my kid refused to eat. They brought another serving, but it took 20 minutes. However, the fish entrees were great!
Great place to eat! Make sure you get the Hula Pie!
Dukes food was above average but not spectacular. It was served hot and the steak was cooked as ordered. Veggies average. Salad bar popular but didn’t try. The view around the outer tables is worth the money
Dinner was good. Drinks were delicious.
Fried calamari was my favorite
Great food and service thank u!!!
While the food was good, it seems that it’s not as great as I recall. Used to be that salad bar was included with entree, and they have been charging now for many years. Service was good, though it was very warm. There were no fans above where we were seated.
Fish was fresh and the preparation was flavorful. We think Dukes has the best salad bar for only $4 extra. Server was helpful and efficient. This is a go to place for a great meal and a view b
Excellent food as always. Definitely the best salad bar on Kauai. Great service.
We very much enjoy visiting Dukes when we are on Kawai. The salad bar is always quite good, and the staff are wonderfully friendly and attentive. The fish was prepared perfectly, but the prime rib was a touch on the dry side and a bit overdone. The drinks were quite nice, however the bug in the water glass put a damper on the finish. We went back another night and plan to go a third.
Food and service was fabulous! Every dish had unique flavors that made us want more and more. We ended up coming for dinner 3 times to try everything on the menu. Every dish and drink were perfection!
Wow what a gorgeous setting. The sword fish was some of the best I have ever tried. Our server was wonderful and help one of our party eat and make his flight. We will definitely return.
Excellent meal. The salad bar has fresh ingredients. The hula pie dessert is the best. A great meal with an awesome view!
Excellent wait staff; lovely environment; delicious food. What could be better? Nothing!
We had the absolute best experience at Dukes. We knew the food would be good but the overall experience is one we will take away with us forever. From the friendly gentlemen at the valet to the kind hostess down to our amazing server Frank who made so many helpful suggestions. He was honestly the best server we have ever had. This is a dining experience we will never forget.
Incredible location. Service/food was top notch.
We have gone to Dukes a number of times. This time was our anniversary. My wife ordered prime rib but what she got tasted more like pot roast. Also, they were out of their signature dessert, hula pie, claiming that their freezer stopped working. Dukes has a companion restaurant several miles away but apparently no one cared enough to get some hula pies from the other location. All in all it was a lousy experience. We’ll not be going back.
Service was good, food was good. What got me was I advised we were celebrating an anniversary. Our 39th wedding anniversary, and it wasn’t acknowledged. No big deal, not a huge milestone, but still.
We thought the food would be better than it was. Salad bar was great! Lovely surroundings.
We were lucky to have the best table tucked in the corner overseeing the beach. Our service was friendly, helpful and mindlful. We will return again.
We have always loved Duke’s and everything about it, but this time we wanted to especially thank the hostess at the front desk (sorry, we didn’t get her name) for finding us a special table for our 15th wedding anniversary and also thank our server, Josh, who was excellent. Thank you both for a special evening. We’ll see you next year! Mahalo!
Very poor service.
