Duke's Seafood & Chowder - Kent Station
Service was best part of experience. Fried food greasy, breading thick. Several of group had stomach upset hours after returning home. Prices are over the top as compared to other restaurants (Wally's, Cliff House ) for amount of food (1piece vs 2 pieces fish). Probably will not return.
DELICIOUS salmon Cobb salad.
Great dinner out with family celebrating fall birthdays with amazing bowls of chowder, piping hot sourdough bread and good wine topped off with yummy desserts! Dukes, you do not disappoint!
Consistent, distinct and always good food...a favorite when visiting Kent Station.
The absolute best crab cake I’ve ever had. We were seated right on time and our waitress was wonderful.
But warn them very loud and serious delays on service
We were celebrating a Birthday. Though the restaurant was very busy our last minute Open Table reservation moved us to the head of the line. The service staff were concerned about our satisfaction but not intrusive. The bacon-wrapped scallop linguini was incredible. We always have a great experience at Duke’s no matter which location we visit.
Great experience in food and service. Had halibut stuffed with crab and would have it again. Good place for casual dinner!!!
We had Northwest Seafood Chowder - Wild Alaska Copper River Salmon, Alaska Halibut, Blue North Cod & Hannah's Halibut Quesadilla - Lightly blackened with cucumber pico de gallo, Parmesan/Asiago cheeses and wasabi aïoli
Both were delicious
Clean and spacious restaurant, clean restroom. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Prices are a bit steep.
I love Duke’s for a nice get-together.
Two of us took advantage of our birthday email from Duke’s. One of us had the entree and the other git desserts for the table. The food and service was outstanding
Chose Duke's as I wanted cioppino, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Happily, it comes in small or large sizes, and the small was the perfect amount. The sourdough tasted wonderful too. Service was attentive and the I enjoyed the restaurant decor. Will be back next time I'm in Seattle!
Absolutely outstanding through and through—phenomenal food and service. My partner and I ordered a variety of appetizers from the happy hour menu and had a delicious feast. Everything tasted incredible and is well worth the cost.
We were there for my birthday so thank you for the delicious burger. We brought a 7 month old and a 2 year old and dined outside. As you know they can be loud and get bored easy dropping food they don't want to eat. Our server was a wonderful server and didn't say anything about the mess the kids made. It was Aug 22nd and the weather was beautiful. Everyone enjoyed the food, drinks and the ability to actually talk with kids around. This is our 3rd year coming for my birthday and we will be there every year from now on. Thanks Betti'
Okay, nothing stands out good or bad
Wait staff was excellent and very attentive. Great time for me and my daughter to enjoy my pre-birthday celebration.
My 11 year old son chose Dukes for his birthday lunch. The staff was amazing and energetic
Great food and the entire staff there is absolutely fabulous.
The waitress was nice and atmosphere was very nice. My sisterhood two fish and chips -she said it was very delicious and cooked perfectly. I had the clam chowder and caesar salad-perfect lunch.
Cookie cutter food
Fish no flavor
Loved our food and drinks!! Will definitely go here again. No wait and great waiter.
I wanted to sit outside so I could hear the live music. Even though their patio was closed, they said OK. I was there for my birthday and the waiter remembered me from last year. I had the cod and chips. Oh My God Cod is correct! I don't know which was better, the cod or the chips! Both were delicious.
I love coming here. The food is fabulous and the staff treat you in a welcoming, friendly and efficient manner. Sometimes my food actually gets to me to fast. I tend to order the seafood salad or the cod fish and chips and I am never disappointed.
Always good food! And great service.
A bit pricey for what you get
The service was friendly and attentive
But you pay quite a bit for ok food
Lobster bisque tasty
seafood bisque not so great
April is a GEM!! We were sat outside and didn't have anyone serve us for over 15 minutes. She notices and rushed to get our drink order and get someone to assist us. Hailey, I believe is her name, completely changed our experience. We were very disappointed with the lack of service at the beginning of our dinner, but between April and Hailey, we will definitely be back!
Lovely atmospheres. Great food and service. The happy hour menu was a good value for food.
Father’s Day meal with our family from out of town. The tables are a bit crowded together. Small space.
We went for Fathers Day dinner and the staff at the lobby/check in were not very friendly. My dad uses a walker and one staffer didn’t even move out of the aisle and made my dad try to maneuver his way around this staff member. We sat for at least 10 minutes before I finally flagged down a guy bussing tables to get us some water. One of the meals had fish that was so dry and over cooked. It was definitely not worth the $150 we spent for 3 people and one appetizer. #disappointed
Father’s Day a day early
We dined out doors at 9:00 pm on a rare warm evening in Kent. The food was excellent. The appetizers and beverages were served promptly, but the mains took a long time: we think they forgot about us until we asked where is our food. The price is not cheap but we all felt our dishes were excellent.
It was graduation night and the team did a great job getting a larger group in and out on the required schedule. Nice job!
**We were notified that our reservation was cancelled a few hours prior to our reservation, which gave me a scare, but I called and spoke with the manager and he fixed the error. Appreciated the assistance.
The food was great and the service was fast and friendly. If you go to the dining room during happy hour, ask for a happy hour menu to get a better value. We ordered a bunch of appetizers, soups and chowder and it was perfect!
Very accommodating for a gluten free diet! They were also very eager to wait on us, but never rushed us... as a matter of fact, our party arrived an hour early for our reservation and stayed for several hours- drinking, snacking, drinking, eating, drinking, and talking.
The new menu is great with some old favorites. We small plates/appetizers and they were all very good and who can pass up the chowder. So good!
We are on vacation and went to our favorite Salty’s but now we have a new favorite it’s Duke’s
It hurts to write a review such as this, however I must be honest.
One of our party sent their plate back and it still was undercooked and cold.
The rest of ours were good, not outstanding.
It feels to me Duke's is just trying too hard to be cute and trendy, yeah, maybe that's me, but that's how it comes across. Then you factor in prices, and there are so many other places that just do it better.
Dukes’ never disappoints. Always great service and delicious food. We’re seafood fans and the numerous choices make each visit a new and different experience.
The clam chowder is to die for. Better than Ivars, which is excellent. Salmon was good but not excellent sour dough bread realllly good and authentic. Over all was great but pricey for atmosphere. A bit of a big hustle going on rather than relaxed.
