The food was good but the service was not attentive enough. Server didn’t check if I needed something else when my drink was done. Didn’t ask if the food was ok or if we needed anything like ketchup for my daughters fries. Service needs serious attention.
Book this restaurant on your stay in Maui for sure.
Ranked way up there with Mama’s Fish House, but for half the price! Excellent view and ambiance, server Dreyson was a professional. Wine list was perfect, with good price points, half bottles are legit. Coconut shrimp are excellent, pork shank if you’ve had your fill on fish, if not, Mahi-mahi Duke’s style was delicious. Book a table so you don’t have to wait an hour, and don’t forget to order the hula pie as everyone suggests! Bring in your receipt for ‘extras’ on return visits, which is highly possible.
Drinks were weak and watery. Worst mai tai of our Maui. No flavor, fruit, rum, or otherwise.
Food was mediocre.
The location, food and service was really great.
Fantastic fish and service
Good food. Very noisy. Service was slow. Seating location could have been better.
They had many great selections of fish each with different preparations. The food was excellent and the location is ideal for waterfront dining. Excellent service.
We had a very enjoyable meal with great food and a wonderful view.
Lots of fun as always.
John the waiter from Alaska was charming and interesting
Best fish in town blows mama Fishhouse away price and quantity No better
It was great. A group of friends met up in Maui for dinner at Dukes. The outside patio is awesome....and the fish was phenomenal. I had the Rocket salad and the crapcakes. YUM!
Be sure to have a reservation...
We enjoyed an excellent meal. Service was good but not excellent.
We will return.
Aloha! It was great! Have been to others Dukes, and It was fun, friendly and had exceptional staff Enjoyed eery minute!
Server (andrew) had a chip on his shoulder. itwadmy bday and he forgot the hula pie.
Was annoying. Otherwise, great food!
Up by atand we bought a shirt and they gave us a hila pie to go! That was nice!!
We loved our table on the beach, our food was awesome and our waiter was terrific. It was a wonderful evening!!
Very good food, descent prices, great views and AWESOME SUNSET! We recommend it and would eat here again.
Food and drinks were fabulous. I had seafood risotto and it was very tasty. Margarita was excellent. Had crab wontons as an appetizer and those are so good. Love the dipping sauce. Best I’ve had on the island.
Very good food, and great service. Only thing was that we had to wait for our table 45 minutes beyond our reservation. The food was worth the wait!
Ocean view, but not directly on the water. Beach is probably 50 feet away. We had the seafood risotto. It was very good, but not excellent. There was heavy rain, so they put down the flaps, so not much view that night. The hula pie was excellent for dessert(ice cream pie with chocolate sauce and macadamia nuts, so huge the 2 of us couldn't finish it)
The only drawback was the rain which forced everyone inside and backed up seating even with reservations.
We had our 25th wedding anniversary dinner and they treated us like royalty. They seated us with the best view to the ocean. It was raining that day and our table was getting wet. The manager asked if we wanted to move but we said it was ok so he gave us a complementary glass of wine. The waiter gave us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary . The food was outstanding.
The worst!!! Booked this month's ago. When we arrived we were told 45 minute wait but we were assured those with reservations would be seated first. REALLY! Ok, let's sit at one of the 2 bars. No luck, no where to sit and people standing all over the place. Asked to speak to the manager who was too busy wire tying the curtains together to speak to a customer. I was presented with a 20 something young man, certainly college educated that said "Sorry, it's raining". Easy decision to leave this chaotic side show and take our chances elsewhere, on Valentine's evening. Karma steps in. Decide to stop in at Java Jazz, less than a mile away. Busy place but got a table. Surf and Turf, nice wine, great service and live entertainment. Go to Java Jazz if you are looking for a great evening with an establishment that really cares about their patrons.
Had reservation but still waited 45”☹️
We Went there on vacation for Valentine’s day.
It Rained that night, but we still had a great time!
My wife and I went to Dukes for Valentine's dinner. It was a very rainy night and so the ambience was not as good as we have experience before but our waiter was very accommodating to change tables for us,away from the rain! The food was and is always consistently good.
Dukes restaurant is always consistent, delicious and great service, thank you Sonny for listening to our requests and making each experience a memorable and delicious one!!!! Love this place!!!! See you next year!!!
Good food, great atmosphere, excellent service, and the Hula Pie is a must for dessert.
Completely underwhelmed. We ordered three entrees, burger and fries, a pork dish and the banana leaf fish and shrimp. Although the fish was fresh tasting, everything was under seasoned. The pork shank was grossly under seasoned and would have been better grilled. The appetizer, calamari was the best we have ever had, fresh and meaty. The kids meal we ordered, island fish was enjoyed by my 18 month old granddaughter.
The mixed drinks were also good.
Didn’t have the hula pie but still want to try it.
All in all, much ado about nothing. Not worth the cost.
