Carolina cuisine and you'll be happy dining here, either at lunch or dinner. The food is consistently well prepared. They do a busy lunch business, so suggest reservations.
The food was good but the services was lacking. We waited quite a bit during courses and was not asked if we wanted a refill on drinks until the end. My husband got the brisket and he said that it was dry. The crawfish dip was delicious and my burger was good.
Great place to have dinner as a family. We had all the appetisers family style and it was a great way to experience Due South's catering skills.
Glasses were dirty. Asked for clean ones and staff fought against it. Waited over 10 min before anyone came to out table. Ppl around that came in after us that weren't even seated at a table we're getting their orders taken. After almost 15 min waiter finally acknowledged us and still didn't ask for our order. We decided to leave due to extremely poor service. Not sure if I will return. And I even had a reservation.
Food was very good I don’t eat pork but the chicken biscuit was great. I would go back for brunch again
We had reservations and came for Brunch. We had to wait a little longer than expected it was just that crowded.
My friend loves Eggs Benedict; However, she is super hard to please as she is particular about it being done exactly right. After two years of seeing her disappointed if they egg doesn't break perfectly or the sauce being basically water consistency. She finally was super happy because the Egg Benedict with the pork is amazing and perfect. The service was excellent they are on top of the mimosa refills. Over all, great experience and will definitely be back to try all the other menu items.
Good restaurant and enjoyed the food.
Just bad ;(
Consistently good food and friendly service. Definitely a go-to place when in Navy Yard. Relaxed atmosphere, mature crowd, excellent food.
Everything was good our server was amazing!
I’ve been before and had a better experience in the past. The food/service wasn’t as good as the last few times.
Favorite spot for tasty and diverse brunch menu. Service is always impeccable. Waiter was busy but kept up with lots of competing demands. Southern food specials are particularly noteworthy
Jane [?] was an amazing server throughout the entire bottomless mimosa. She was attentive to us! This was the first experience and we will definitely come back.
Our server was outstanding, very personable. The food was excellent, shrimp n grits the best, as well as the ribs.
Great food. Great atmosphere.
As always, our server was knowledgeable about gluten free and dairy free, so she made some excellent recommendations. My rack of ribs was tasty, succulent and the meat almost fell off the bone.
Food was very bland and a bit pricey for it not to be appetizing. The service was ok but definitely would not visit again for food!
Very nice. Service was excellent. Thank you for excellent service celebrating my special day
I was looking for somewhere nice and new to take my date and was able to find Due South when I arrived we were great nicely and sat right away and the view was really nice. Our server Maggie was amazing and the food and drinks were just as fabolous. The prices were reasonable and the food portions were good but it would be nice to have a bit more vegetables and fish I hope to come back when it gets warmer with friends or another date.
Great experience and food The staff was really helpful and good customer service
I did not like the fact that there was a mid-day only menu. Our party of six did not like the fact that we could not order from the main menu until 5pm. When I made my reservation online it would have been nice to mention the mid-day menu and the time limits.
We went for brunch and it was delicious. The biscuits are reason alone to go— freshly made, hot, flaky, amazing.
Best wine pour among Navy Yard establishments. It is amazing how stingy other places are. The worst are the ones that bring you a beautiful wine glass then use a small glass container to fill your wine glass less than 1/3 full.
Food is excellent, great location.
We will dine there again.
Middle of the afternoon, not many people and my server was much more interested in the two single women than on helping other customers. Needs more training. Middle room.
The food(pulled pork & ribs) were very fatty! Turned me off from the meat! The sides were pretty good, excpet for the beans. Ambiance was good lighting was good, space was ok. Server had alot of tables so made the wait a bit longer, but she was good.
Great first experience here, definitely want to go back and try other dishes.
Nice place to have a romantic dinner...I would highly recommend you dine here to experience the atmosphere here... Ask for "G" to be your server, she was the Best.....
Good food and very attentive service.
We occasionally had to strain to hear one another talking at the table. This is why I requested a table up front by the windows.
Overall is was a good experience. We went for a friends birthday party and she totally enjoyed herself. The salmon was delicious along with the brussel sprouts and chicken wings. Bread pudding was a hit as well. We would definitely return.
The BBQ was solid and beer selection was great. I was also impressed with the number of vegetarian dishes and apps, and they were all very good. Comfort food but not too heavy.
Met a friend there for late lunch on a snowy day, and had a lovely time there. Our waitress was very efficient, polite, and kind. After being seated at a small table for a while, but noticing larger, more comfortable booths available, we were able to change with no problem. Had a very relaxed lunch...smoked chicken wings were delicious...catfish po boy was very good, and we split the peanut butter pie for dessert. It was good...not great! The collards were scrumptious but would have been as good without as much meat. Overall, I would definitely go back! Nice find in Navy Yard area.
Kale salad was outstanding. The server was very attentive and thoughtful.
The food was delicious and well made. Ordered from the restaurant week menu which had generous options and portions. With the restaurant week special they also offered discounted house wine and beer which you rarely see. Only down side is the crazy construction around the restaurant.
The food was surprisingly delicious. The buttermilk chicken was nicely seasoned and juicy. The spacing of the tables were too close together; making it challenging to have a private conversation. The service was acceptable.
The food ranking is strictly because I’m from NC and the pulled pork at the restaurant was soggy. That’s not how we do it in the south. I don’t mean soggy with sauce, just soggy. Everything else was perfect.
We went for restaurant week - the menu had a wide selection and everything came out delicious.
They never had our table ready for us. We waited for over an hour for our reservation. Will probably never go back
