I was looking for somewhere nice and new to take my date and was able to find Due South when I arrived we were great nicely and sat right away and the view was really nice. Our server Maggie was amazing and the food and drinks were just as fabolous. The prices were reasonable and the food portions were good but it would be nice to have a bit more vegetables and fish I hope to come back when it gets warmer with friends or another date.
Great experience and food The staff was really helpful and good customer service
I did not like the fact that there was a mid-day only menu. Our party of six did not like the fact that we could not order from the main menu until 5pm. When I made my reservation online it would have been nice to mention the mid-day menu and the time limits.
We went for brunch and it was delicious. The biscuits are reason alone to go— freshly made, hot, flaky, amazing.
Best wine pour among Navy Yard establishments. It is amazing how stingy other places are. The worst are the ones that bring you a beautiful wine glass then use a small glass container to fill your wine glass less than 1/3 full.
Food is excellent, great location.
We will dine there again.
Middle of the afternoon, not many people and my server was much more interested in the two single women than on helping other customers. Needs more training. Middle room.
Great first experience here, definitely want to go back and try other dishes.
Nice place to have a romantic dinner...I would highly recommend you dine here to experience the atmosphere here... Ask for "G" to be your server, she was the Best.....
Good food and very attentive service.
We occasionally had to strain to hear one another talking at the table. This is why I requested a table up front by the windows.
Overall is was a good experience. We went for a friends birthday party and she totally enjoyed herself. The salmon was delicious along with the brussel sprouts and chicken wings. Bread pudding was a hit as well. We would definitely return.
The BBQ was solid and beer selection was great. I was also impressed with the number of vegetarian dishes and apps, and they were all very good. Comfort food but not too heavy.
Met a friend there for late lunch on a snowy day, and had a lovely time there. Our waitress was very efficient, polite, and kind. After being seated at a small table for a while, but noticing larger, more comfortable booths available, we were able to change with no problem. Had a very relaxed lunch...smoked chicken wings were delicious...catfish po boy was very good, and we split the peanut butter pie for dessert. It was good...not great! The collards were scrumptious but would have been as good without as much meat. Overall, I would definitely go back! Nice find in Navy Yard area.
Kale salad was outstanding. The server was very attentive and thoughtful.
The food was delicious and well made. Ordered from the restaurant week menu which had generous options and portions. With the restaurant week special they also offered discounted house wine and beer which you rarely see. Only down side is the crazy construction around the restaurant.
The food was surprisingly delicious. The buttermilk chicken was nicely seasoned and juicy. The spacing of the tables were too close together; making it challenging to have a private conversation. The service was acceptable.
The food ranking is strictly because I’m from NC and the pulled pork at the restaurant was soggy. That’s not how we do it in the south. I don’t mean soggy with sauce, just soggy. Everything else was perfect.
We went for restaurant week - the menu had a wide selection and everything came out delicious.
They never had our table ready for us. We waited for over an hour for our reservation. Will probably never go back
Great fast service. Our server gave us great tips on the menu. Food was delicious, definitely would come back for more!
Food and service was great! Cool atmosphere inside, will definitely come back.
Thought we would try somewhere new for Saturday Date night dinner. Due South was perfect. We were very lucky to be sat in the back room. The front is very loud!
Our server was delightful, the food was delicious and plentiful.
We will be back.
Came out for a friend’s birthday. Everyone in my party was late, and they still honored our reservation. We went for restaurant week. The 3–Course meal deal was awesome. We loved the quesadillas, I forget the exact name, but they were DELICIOUS! Our sever was patient as it took us about 20 minutes to order. For a Saturday night with rain it wasn’t packed so noise wasn’t an issue. Valet doesn’t open up to 5:30pm I believe, but there were plenty of parking options available. Definitely would return.
I was there for restaurant week. They had a good menu and the food was good.
This is a superb restaurant. Thea was exceptional. She answered all of our questions. She was very attentive. Our food came in a timely fashion. We had three courses. The servers picked up our plates once we were finished. The refill of our drinks were right on time. Very attentive group all together. Atmosphere was great as well.
Great brunch with bottomless mimosas!
Went for a birthday brunch and had a great experience. The staff was very accommodating about adding extra people to our party. The food was great and I was pleasantly surprised at my bill.
Due South is a great place, with great atmosphere.
A mid day get out of the house lunch. Kid friendly
Food was good, drinks were good and the ambiance was great!
Always a great time at Due South.
Fryer was broken and that was disappointing as it limited some of the options available. Regardless, service was good, friendly, quick. Food was executed well (kale salad was tasty; a bit too much dressing for my liking), Brunswick stew was tasty and perfect for the poor weather.
Fryer was broken...so essentially everything we wanted to eat couldn’t be made. Wish they told us before we sat down and got drinks.
Food quality was very good and not overpriced. Attentive service.
Loved the ambiance, the food and service at Due South. I will definitely return!
Great service, friendly staff, and were able to accommodate my large group.
There was no draft beer available, unfortunately. It was a good meal though.
Great food and good service as usual. The only downside was that my brunch reservation grew from two to three at the last minute and they weren’t able to accommodate us at a a regular table. We had to eat at the communal table. It wasn’t the end of the world but it was certainly less run ideal. They had also run out of garnishes for our drinks which was bizarre. Still, it’s a great restaurant in a fantastic location and definitely worth a visit.
Drinks and food were great look forward to going back sometime soon
