Dudley's on Short
Food and service were excellent. Getting in was the only thing that was a bit odd. The exterior door was not marked in any way, neither was the door that actually opens in the dining area.
Delicious, well attended to and left us plenty of time to catch up! Always Love Dudleys!
Anniversary...love the petite filets. Nice atmosphere...was a little noisy but that was due to the table next to us talking loudly nonstop. Love eating here...service good and food yummy! Cozy atmosphere.
Always the best at Dudley’s. Sunday Suppers are hard to beat. Back there soon!
We had a wonderful Sunday Brunch. The food was amazing and great service. We sat outside and enjoyed the wonderful day.
Always a great experience...dining on the rooftop is one of my favorite traditions. The food, atmosphere, drinks and staff are all top notch.
Had not been there in over 10 years. I was very happy with my visit. The food was wonderful. The server was very helpful and happy. Will go back. I have several other meals I want to try.
On a Friday evening with beautiful weather, the hostess seated us at a nice table for two on the rooftop patio. Food, service and drinks were excellent. Absolutely no complaints with expectations exceeded from start to finish!!
Nice selection of creative entrees. Elegant but relaxed atmosphere.
The food and cocktails were great. Interesting specials. I highly recommend sitting at their rooftop patio. Wonderful ambiance.
Very reasonable, and very nice brunch! My food was slightly bland but perfectly looked and very nicely presented. The service was outstanding and the bread, (well, I suppose I come for the bread) was superb. If you ever have the chance to eat the mint blackberry scone, you must!
The steak had to be sent back as was all gristle the second steak was better good steak but not great as was expecting
It had been awhile since I had been there, I was super excited for the duck. Last time I visited they brought be a large duck breast. This time I was brought two small strips of duck... $32??? This on top of they forgot about us and our appetizer. I will probably not be going back.
Great place, service and food was on point. I would recommend Dudley’s without hesitation.
The service was outstanding, along with the food! Made it a great date night for us!!
so nice to sit in the very heart of old Lexington...even though I missed John Cabell Breckinridge's
statue quite a bit and our waitress was just a little too snappy...great place! we sat outside
We went for brunch and I got the special, cinnamon French toast and bacon, and my husband got the fried chicken and gravy. The food was amazing! The service was excellent. Definitely going back!!
Food: exquisite. Service: exceptional.
The food and service were excellent. I loved the new spring menu incorporating seasonal foods- asparagus, rhubarb, peas and fennel.
We felt that the lighting was too dim, had to get out cell phone to read the menu
Best cuisine in Lexington! Best atmosphere and Brad, most definitely, is the waiter to ask for!
One of my favorite restaurants in Lexington. The food is delicious and the service is always fantastic.
Visit from England twice a year and would never skip at least one trip to Dudley’s!
Great brunch on the patio
The service was what excelled on this particular evening. After the local concert crowd left, the server spoiled us with his attention. We shared appetizers, and after my salad I had no room for an entree. My partner said his chicken was excellent.
Wonderful venue in an old bank building. There was a minor issue with one of the items we ordered but the staff went above and beyond the norm to apologize and make it right.
Great food made with high quality ingredients, excellent and attentive service. I highly recommend Dudley's. Have been a fan for years.
We had never dined in the main dining room and loved it. Quiet, elegant, and like dining in an old southern mansion. The good was great. The wine list was excellent. Service was outstanding. They have clearly upped their game.
The food was very good, but a little pricy. The issue was the service. Our waiter had 4 tables in our area. He buzzed by us at least a dozen times, taking good care of the other three tables. He totally ignored us. He didn't offer to refill our wine glasses, never asked how things were or checked to see if we needed anything. When we mentioned it to him, he seemed totally unaware. He did apologize, but he really didn't seem to get it. The manager came over, heard our complaint, said he was sorry, then went on about the wine we ordered. We told him it wasn't about the wine. On the way out, two employees stood on either side of the door, and neither made an effort to open the door for my wife.
The food is worth the price, but they really need to figure out how to treat their guests. Given all the options in Lexington, not sure we would go back.
The service was a bit slow. The food had waited too long in the kitcheen before service and did not fully meet our expectations.
Excellent food and service, with the owner on the premises on a Sunday evening. The chef even specially prepared vegetarian dishes. Well done!
Possibly Lexington’s finest and most thematic restaurant!
Delicious food, great atmosphere and great service!
Dudley's always does a great job when I bring my granddaughter. She loves this place, especially the rooftop. Service is always great and the always changing bread selection is wonderful. The wilted Brussels Sprouts are my all time favorite dish.
Outstanding food and service. Truly delicious and warm, friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Pretty good choice for lunch on our one day in town. Great location and cool ambience. However, 74 dollars for one sandwich, three drinks and a shared salad is a bit crazy.
One of my favorite restaurants - excellent service, terrific food, loyalty recognized, beautiful environment, extensive wine list. Highly recommend the TG salad, pasta Dudley’s, and s’mores dessert. The fries with dipping sauces (garlic aioli and green goddess) are extraordinary. The bread selections vary daily. Nice specials. Try the grilled romaine with flat-iron steak for lunch - delicious!
