Dudley's on Short
Charming “elegant southern” restaurant. Food was delicious. As you would expect in Lexington, an extensive bourbon menu. Reminded me of a Charleston S.C. style restaurant. Would definitely recommend.
We had a wonderful meal with friends Sunday evening. Excellent service and much better with knowledge of gluten issues than on previous visits. I love the uniqueness of the menu. And excellent service. Thank you.
Food was excellent, and staff was great!! Their wine list is one of the best!
Great food and the drinks are hard to beat. Overall a spectacular experience with fresh food that was prepared well. Service was perfect; very attentive but at the same time respectful of our time. We are glad we got to have dinner here, ask for the rooftop seating! Super romantic!!!
Ate on the rooftop. AWESOME EXPERIENCE
Best in Lexington
Dudley’s has always been my favorite Lexington restaurant. I don’t get here as often as in the past since we live about an hour away. I always know that I can count on everything being top notch. I loved the Eggs Benedict I had Sunday and my husband loved the Crab Benedict. I have a hard time trying anything else for brunch.
Great food and the service was awesome
Waiter warned us that the special ribeye had been coming out more rare than ordered. I told him that I’m ok with rare plus and ordered medium rare. It came out medium and so did my son’s. I told him, he offered to recook another but it took a while to get our food and it was a later reservation so we just ate it as it was. Disappointing.
I've been coming to Dudley's for years. This past experience was my least favorite menu update.
Food was amazing. Service was amazing. All around perfect place to eat dinner/lunch.
The food in this restaurant is delicious and the atmosphere is classy and beautiful. The service was top-notch. Everyone we dealt with was professional and friendly and went out of their way to help you. I highly recommend this restaurant
Great service, excellent food, brussel sprout salad is divine
Always exquisite - Dudley’s delivers fine dining with innovative food, sophisticated atmosphere, each floor with a different vibe. Try the rooftop dining among the trees if weather permits. Ask for rooftop on your reservation. Limited seating. It’s wonderful at twilight on a summer eve.
Service was excellent and timely. We were going to the Opera House and our server was very gracious in expediting our bill so we could leave in time. Love the atmosphere. Food never disappoints.
Dudley’s has been a favorite for many years, but we visited tonight for Restaurant Week and had an excellent experience! The salmon was wonderful and the whole plate was gorgeous ! Our server, Cat, was incredibly attentive and friendly, and it is such a beautiful place... an excellent experience !
Ambiance was very nice. The specials we got were just okay. Will maybe be back
My dinner partner and I came to Dudley's during Restaurant Week for a featured prix fixe dinner. The meal was fabulous! We both ordered the chilled corn bisque (silky, flavorful, and gorgeous) and the pork loin with polenta, arugula, and peppers (marvelous flavor and texture combinations, beautiful presentation, perfectly cooked). I ended with the lemon pot de creme (a perfect summer dessert), and my partner was in love with the double chocolate cake. We shared a bottle of California pinot noir, very reasonably priced.
The ambience of the room is lovely, except for the noise level. The server was friendly but overly attentive; the service was also marred by her very loud voice. She should have perceived that we were there not only to enjoy the excellent food but also to enjoy one another's company. She interrupted our conversation many times, far more than was required for attentive table service. I hope you can correct these problems because I would love to return to Dudley's to enjoy your chef's beautiful food and have an outstanding dining experience in all other respects as well.
Excellent waiter and food was excellent
Most beautiful outdoor patio in town! Went for restaurant week, probably our 3rd or 4th time in a row for restaurant week. Definitely my favorite. The food never disappoints. The watermelon salad & the lemon pot de creme were wonderful. My pork was very good, but maybe not outstanding. My husband's pasta dish was good, not great. Great cocktails to start & good wine to follow. Love coming here!!!
When in town, we always brunch at Dudley’s after shopping or at the Famers’ Market! The “specials” are just that! But the Crab Benedict is my fave! Great service and atmosphere, too.
Excellent Sunday Brunch. I had one of the specials, eggs and salmon with hollandaise sauce. This is as my first time at Dudley’s and I will definitely go back.
The service was the worst I have had in a long time. The food taste was poor and the preparation average. I was very disappointed.
We sat downstairs.. it was lovely. Was not crowded at all.. I was surprised because I tried to get a later reservation but it says it was booked.
Our server appeared to be new. He didn't come and see how our food was. Had to call him over for refills
Our waiter was Alan and he was excellent! Your bread tray was a phenomenal surprise!, we split the sourdough, beer, and chocolate chip muffin and all three were absolutely delicious. I could have made a meal on just the bread! Beautiful restaurant, outstanding food and service.
We had a great time at Dudley’s! I had never been there for brunch but would recommend it, especially the basil-Asiago scones, the salmon hollandaise and eggs, and coffee. Plus, never miss an opportunity to have Stacy’s special cake of the day. Today’s was chocolate cake with chocolate icing and it’s literally my favorite cake in the world. Don’t wait to check out Dudley’s!
Top notch food and service. Thank you!
It was a little too loud for me. We were on a business dinner so probably not the best for that. But date night or for fun, would be great.
Dudley’s is always perfect!
food and service were outstanding. wine manager provided great advice.
One of our favorites! The St Germaine Cosmos is unique and very refreshing. The bread basket to start is delicious with several selections of warm bread. We love to share the lightly breaded tender calamari and the spicy sauce. Then we split a Caesar salad and Tournedos Oscar style. I love the hot crispy fries in place of the potato purée. The wine selection is great and dinner is never rushed. We often ask to sit in their quiet room upstairs when we’re with another couple. I’m usually too full for dessert. Be sure to take advantage of the valet parking.
Alway love Dudley’s. The food is always exquisite and the service superb. It’s truly one of our favorites in Lexington!
A place to be at, a place to be seen and a place for exquisite food to experience and enjoy!
Awesome as always!
Corey was a fantastic server. Baked Alaska=amazing.
We were travelling and stayed a few days in Lexington. Dudley’s was recommended to us and it proved to be an outstanding dining experience.
Old friends got together at a favorite place - which made the dinner a special occasion.
Food and service were excellent. Getting in was the only thing that was a bit odd. The exterior door was not marked in any way, neither was the door that actually opens in the dining area.
Delicious, well attended to and left us plenty of time to catch up! Always Love Dudleys!
