Dudley's on Short
Wife recommended but I was underwhelmed. Limited reservation option times on open table but restaurant actually half empty so booked earlier than planned for nothing. . Food was average at best.
Great atmosphere on the roof patio. Perfect service and and exquisite meal!
I love Dudley’s and it was Keeneland Race Weekend ,but was not thrilled with menu, my salmon was not the best ,duck was so so,my husbands pasta was good but better after we asked for lemon, deviled eggs ,so so. I liked the fritters with pepper jelly, no one at our table raved about anything ,I was disappointed because I recommended because of past dinners.
We enjoyed the rooftop after dinner but then the rains came ,I will definitely come again and hope experience is better next time.
Really like this place a lot. The food is delicious and fairly priced. The service is excellent and the ambiance is perfect. My only small complaint, the noise level is high. Maybe some noise-deafening materials could be discreetly added? All in all I really like this restaurant and hope to go back the next time Zi am in Lexington.
Food was great, but a tiny bit slow in coming. The bourbon selection was outstanding.
5 stars all around. I wish I could give the food 6 stars. I had the filet and my husband had the halibut. Both were delicious!!! It was my husband birthday and our waitress, Hailey suggested that we check out the rooftop patio and said that there would be a special treat waiting for us. Ice cream sundae with a chocolate truffle and candle for my husband. Experience was everything we could've asked for. We will definitely be back
Dudleys continues to be our go-to place for a special night out in Lexington. We've been coming here for years, having moved with them from their original location. Always classic dining in a fine space.
Brunch date with my husband
This the place we always take out of town guests and they never let us down. We also go on our own for a great meal and impeccable service. Great place.
Always love Dudley’s. It never never never disappoints.
And how fabulous that Southern Living has named it the
“The Best Restaurant in the Southeast”. Congratulations, Debbie.
Your hard work is recognized by your clients and restaurant community as well!!
A morning at the Farmers’ Market then brunch at Dudley’s before shopping has become our fave routine when my friends and I come to Lexington. I’ve never been disappointed. The Crab Benedict is the best ever. This time others chose the Cobb Salad, fruit plate, and quiche of the day. Beautiful presentations and delish all around.
This is far and away the best restaurant in town. Service is unmatched, the food is phenomenal, different areas of the restaurant depending on your preferences. I can’t recommend Dudleys enough.
Wonderful restaurant, great service, friendly atmosphere and food is extraordinary.
Salmon should be fully cooked, mine was not. I ordered it because they were out of the entree I preferred. I ate it anyway as I did not care for most of its accompaniments and did not want to leave hungry after paying $50. Dessert and coffee were excellent. Service was impeccable.
Disclaimer: I am not a good customer for gourmet restaurants as I usually loathe half of what is on the menu, or the way it's prepared. Pureed vegetables?? NOPE.
Went for lunch to celebrate friend's birthday. Great service, thanks Cat! Must try the bacon beignets, they are to die for. Will definitely go back.
Always love Dudley’s food and the service is outstanding. My husband and I enjoy Dudley’s for date night, but it’s excellent for a nice dinner with friends too. The Tournedos Maxwell is my all time favorite dish.
Great service from Corey and Cameron. Delicious dinner at an easy pace. Each course was sized just right. The halibut was perfectly cooked. A must stop when in Lexington.
Great overall experience already planing our next visit!!
Dudley‘s on short was the icing on the cake in celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Their service, their staff and their food were excellent. If we are ever in Lexington again we will definitely dine there.
Whenever I’m in Lexington I try to get to Dudley’s. It has bee my family’s favorite restaurant for years. We celebrated my sons 23rd birthday and they made it extra special with a great dessert. This is a definite must when in Lexington
Great food and good service. Good place to have a conversation and great wine.
Amazing food. Quiet and very elegant.
Outstanding meal and service. Our waiter Kasmin (Sp?) even ran us down outside when I dropped my parking token.
Stellar as always. Ms Long is a true restauranteur.
Third time in four weeks and a wonderful outing each time! Great menu for each course plus specials, haven’t had anything I wouldn’t order again, one of my favorites is the duck! Oh and I failed to mention the wait staff that adds so much to a great experience. Well Done!
What a wonderful evening at this beautiful historic bank! Such great ambience, and the food and service is exceptional. 5 star rating is well deserved.
Dudley's is my go to local restaurant for us personally but also when out of town business associates are looking for recommendations. It's a charming building with great ambience. The rooftop dining is a great plus in the summer. Food is excellent and there is always something to discover with their specials.
Dudleys is always a great place to go. The atmosphere is very good whether it’s a date night or bringing clients. Highly recommend!
Great food! Phenomenal service- thx Brad! Inviting atmosphere— they helped make it a wonderful birthday dinner
Great lunch before the Kentucky game! Service was fast and friendly. Food was incredible!
Here’s the thing. Your experience can 100% depend on where you are seated. The ambiance is nice. But If you are a party of 2 and wish to have a private conversation, watch carefully how you are seated or you might wind up at a table for 2 that is basically a table for 6 because the tables are 12-14” apart. The server was informative and attentive. The tuna was okay. The beef tournedos were okay. The TJ salad was okay. The calamari was very good. But look, I got an old fashioned and I’m very sure that you could barely fill up a shot glass with what I was served. When the server brought it out to me, my date and I just looked at each other and laughed. When you spend $150 for dinner for 2 and $10 to park you expect a little better than that. We didn’t have desert, but some of the items looked delicious.
Food was outstanding & ambience terrific. Very enjoyable
First timer and it was amazing! Food was DELICIOUS!! The waiter was so helpful with recomediations and did not disappoint!! We truly loved our evening at Dudley’s!!
Always delightful to dine at Dudley’s
Best steaks in town
It was the best brunch I’ve had in a long time! Amazing food!
I've traveled for over 30 years; eaten is some of the best restaurants in the US (according to Wine Spectator) - the food at Dudley's was on par with anything anywhere - get the Turley Zin - you can't buy a bottle at the store here in KY but if like Zin you won't forget it.
We had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent and the service was delightful. We look forward to returning.
