Duane's Prime Steaks & Seafood Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Atmosphere and servers were nice. My guest was asked to remove his hat while noticeably other dining guests were allowed to keep on their baseball caps. We were seated next to a doorway that led to another dining area, which was distracting and a little offsetting. I did inquire about this when I was being sat but my comment was dismissed.
Overall what had the expectation and potential to be a great experience actually turned out to just be an ok experience.
We had very high expectations for this restaurant and were severely disappointed. First of all we had a party of 12 and they told us they were too busy and had to separate us into two tables. Okay. I understand if you have to do this if you’re busy but you were half empty!!!
The restaurant serves alcohol but doesn’t have a full bar. They have a ridiculous wine bar. So your server has to run to the bar over a 100 yards away and retrieve your drinks repeatedly. This not only took forever but left us thirsty most of the night. Hey management change your stupid wine bar to a full bar.
We also waited almost an hour between appetizers and dinner. WTF. We also had a birthday and I asked for something amazing for my customer and they brought out one cupcake. Really???
Our bill was $2,000 and this was your dessert offering? Ridiculous.
This place under delivers and severely over charges.
I will never ever come here again. You definitely shouldn’t either.
I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and the relaxing fun with friends. We were pretty famished by the time our food arrived, but it was delicious and something that we really enjoyed for our special occasion. The filet could stand for a little more of a seasoning, but the sides and appetizers were delectable. Even the garnish of herbed goat cheese on a tomato was spectacular. Service was good, but kind of slow. I'm not sure if that is just the fancy way of doing things or if it was a busy night, but we waited quite a while to order drinks, order food, and then for our food and ultimately our check. In all honesty, we are not fancy people, but for a one time treat, it was a nice evening.
I had an amazing time. Came to have a going away dinner with a close friend and we both enjoyed every minute. The food was fresh, service was spot on, and the atmosphere was so relaxing( and VERY romantic). I would definitely come back for the Lemon drop martini and the crème brûlée and to try their seafood dishes.
Our food and waitress were fantastic! The Inn Keepers salad was one of the best I ever had. The waitress got me the dressing recipe! It was our anniversary and they surprised us with a cupcake from Casey’s bakery next door. All in all a fantastic evening. We will be coming back!
My husband and I went for our anniversary. We have gone there 5 anniversaries in a row because it was always outstanding but not this past time. The server was not very attentive and smelled like cigarettes. My salmon was very undercooked and my husband's steak was overcooked. We are disappointed and have decided to go elsewhere for our future anniversaries. It's a shame because we love going to Mission Inn.
We went for my mom's 54tb birthday. Food was average. $80 steak, no sides included. My angel hair pasta was over cooked and soggy.
Brought a $200 gift card. After waiting 30 minutes for them to process bill, lady came back and said their gift card machine was not working.
$600 bill for 6 people. Could not use gift card.
This restaurant is a mixed bag, and it needn’t be so. I called for a reservation 30 minutes away, and the reservation employee would simply tell me I would have to try walking in. I asked if there would be a table, and was told it was a policy to avoid telling me: no advice for anyone and only reservations for an hour or more away. It was my anniversary and Duane’s is the most exclusive place in my hometown so I went on OpenTable to learn that OT could get me a table in 15 minutes. We went down to Duane’s to find only 2 tables being used. We stopped at the wine bar for a drink but had trouble getting the 3 employees to serve us. When I asked the hostess (from the phone) to help me get some service, she told me “they’ll be right with you, yet never lifted a finger. The rudeness to locals is odd, given the price. Once seated inside with the wait staff, the ambiance and professionalism flip flops to excellent. Enjoy the food and the INSIDE service, but your expectations for professional service prior to sitting down must be moderated.
Exquisite ambience. Outstanding service. Extreme compliments to all the chefs, steak that cuts like butter and tastes outstanding, swordfish with mustard and creme fresh was melt in your mouth. The sides were wonderful, and enough for two. Expresso that was delicious, the end however there aren't words to convey how AMAZING and phenomenal the chocolate souffle was. Definitely fine dining at this wonderful restaurant.
