We are we're at Duane's about 10 days ago and gave it a 5-star rating. We had a reservation at 5:30 and everything seemed as it should be. This reservation was at 8:30 and we weren't seated until 9:30 party of four. My tempura Lobster was overcooked and rubbery at $48. My husband had the seared Ahi and he got the tail portion that had lots of stringy membranes through it. The filet I was told was great. Because we were seated so late we didn't turn any of the food back in. If doing it again I would certainly get a reservation earlier in the evening.

Beautifully decorated. Food was very good! Excellent quality. The presentation was very rushed for the amount of money being charged. We were rushed through our meal, very annoying for the amount of money being spent. We made reservations months in advance. And we were seated at the worst table in the house. We were right near the entrance with people coming and going the entire duration of our meal. It was extremely loud. Too noisy to have a conversation without yelling at each other. Even our wait staff had to shout. We pre-ordered a chocolate souffle for dessert and the first one fell. So it took additional time to receive dessert. During that time our servers vanished. We were not offered another drink nor had our coffee refilled. Water glasses were empty, too. Even Santa would not stop at our table as he entered the restaurant and we said "Hello Santa!" Apparently, Santa was assigned to speak with someone else. He did return however, after completing his assignment.
It was pretty apparent our patronage was not valued.

We weent to Duane's Steakhouse after reading the reviews online. We have always wanted to visit the Festival of Lights at the Mission Inn so we decided to have dinner there as well. It was the wrong time to dine at this fine restaurant as the Inn was a zoo with wall to wall people enjoying the lights and decorations. I do have to say though the filet mignon I had was one of THE BEST I have ever had and I have had many over the last 60 years. The restaurant is beautiful and the service is impeccable. Overall we did enjoy our meal and visit to the Inn. I would highly recommend Duane's for a special occasion as it is a bit pricey.

My husband and I made reservations to celebrate our Anniversary on December 13th. This would be the fourth time we've celebrated this event at Duane's and were looking forward to the evening. We were truly disappointed because:

1. Waiter got my husband's drink wrong.
2. Waiter did not bring my drink at the same time as my husband's. I waited to see when he would. He finally came back to the table and asked if I wanted my drink then or with my meal. I had ordered a split of champagne (no specialty drink involved) and wanted to have my drink at the same time as my husband so we could toast our anniversary.
3. When dinner was served noted my husband's steak sat alone in the middle of a large plate. The baked potato was served separately on a salad plate. No garnishment on either plate. Did not look appetizing at all. I'd ordered shrimp scampi that was very good.
5. We requested a second drink. The waiter came back and my husband reminded him that he wanted a Manhattan on the rocks ... what he ordered the first time. However he received a Manhattan straight up. I ordered another split of champagne. When the waiter poured it he simply poured it into the glass I was drinking from, not a fresh one.
6. Received our check and noted a charge of 10.00 more for the split than the price on the menu, making the split $25.00 rather than the $15.00 that I'd seen. The waiter said he needed to speak to his manager. The page I saw was to have been removed since they'd raised the price, but since it had not they were obligated to honor the $15.00 price rather than the $25.00 that they'd charged. The $25 price for a split of domestic Champagne is excessive. Would not order it at that price.

We certainly were disappointed and because of the reasons listed above will not dine at this restaurant in the future. Please pass this review on to the manager of this restaurant because things have definitely changed (for the worse) since we celebrated our anniversary last year.

Took my wife here for our anniversary. I was not disappointed. The steak was delicious, tender and cooked to order! Service was good. Scenery was beautiful and romantic. Make reservations if you don't want to wait. Business casual attire.

rude from the start, 2 hostess talked with a woman about personal things while I stood and waited to check in for my reservations, we had to ask for everything we got and it was still slow, the restaurant was not full, 30 minutes to get water and bread, another 30 minutes to get wine, another 30 minutes to order, salad was wilted, lobster over cooked, long hair in potatoes, no offer of coffee, 20 minutes to pay, we should have just walked out, it was noisy and the wait staff were either over worked or really did not care, it was $100 per person which is not a lot but 2 shared and one had soup due to the late hour, we will never go back!!!!!

Sadly VERY disappointed in Duane’s. We had a reservation for 8:30pm and were not seated until 9:15pm - no apologizes (they close at 10pm). Table service was good but food was plain at best but mostly bad. Duane’s is a steak house, so I ordered filet mignon (medium). Filet was cooked well not medium, steak was not tender and lacked flavor. Shrimp (scampi style) was also on the plate, again flavorless and rubber in texture. My boyfriend ordered the lamb chops, nothing note worthy about them and served warm at best, mint sauce was almost absent in flavor. So tell me Duane’s, how can a steak house mess such a simple meal up? I’ve had better meals Flemmings by far. Again sooo disappointed, I’d been looking forward to Duane’s. I do not recommend for meals only for the classic charming ambiance of the Mission Inn

On December 6th we went to Duane's for our 5th anniversary and ordered the Surf and Turf. The lobster tails were large and succulent! The filet mignon was buttery tasting and delicious! Even the asparagus and mashed potatoes were excellent! Service was wonderful and we decided we would come back on a regular basis for this tremendous meal!

The waiter was kind enough but very slow, our order was messed up for the appetizer and my wife's stake was sent back 2 times and finally she gave up and didn't eat it. It's nice enough but when your paying over $100 per person it should be perfect. We didn't have to pay for my wife's dinner but it still ruined the evening.

We love our yearly visit to the Mission Inn.
Duane’s for dinner is always so special. The food and decorations just wonderful.
Thanks to Melody for being so great and helping our experience so enjoyable.
The wine we had sent over from your new wine tasting cellar was excellent. Thanks to John for helping us with choosing a perfect wine.
See you next year.

Wonderfully prepared steaks, perfectly cooked medium rare and no black char. The tempura lobster was the best. Well worth the price. We had it 15 years ago and never forgot it. It was just as fabulous as we remembered. I think some of the servers were just seasonal help and weren't very attentive. They only filled the coffee half way. Our fist cup was cold. Still had a great time. Hotel restrooms need to be enlarged and updated. Decorations were wonderful!!!

I have attended many times, last occasion was average. Initial greeting was great. waiter was very attentive. My plan was to order swordfish, but was informed Duane's was already out at 430PM on a weekday. This is not the waiters fault, more in the ordering process. How can you run out or a dish, during the week with a known busy holiday season. Very disappointing

First time I’ve been to this restaurant. Took my girlfriend to propose. I ordered the center cut filet. Ordered medium rare and it came out medium-well. The meat had no pleasing taste at all. The lamb chops my girlfriend ordered were only slightly better. Our sides, the lobster mash was 9.5/10 risotto and Mac and cheese were 8.5/10. The service was amazing and the ambience was excellent.

We stayed at the Mission Inn for the Festival of Lights but unfortunately for Duane's dinner was not what we hoped for. Our waitress seemed overworked and we waited 10-15 minutes to get our bottle of wine. We ordered and waited for our salads and I had the Caesar that did not even appear to be a Caesar as it had tomato's and no parmesan cheese? I ate the salad and did not complain or send it back as the girl that brought it out said "Here is the Caesar"?? We also waited some time for our meals to get out and we both ordered the 8oz filet, one with asparagus and one with a baked potato. Both meals came out slightly warm to cold and the baked potato would not even melt the melted butter... In short I was a bit disappointed and probably will not go back after spending over 300.00 for the meal that was not as proclaimed. I will however go back to the Mission Inn to stay and enjoy the overall experience.

For the fees we were charged, we expected to have an exceptional gustatory experience promising umami, but what we got was mediocre beyond belief.

I ordered snails. Five small snails came on a plate, rather than in a shell with the garlic butter sauce I expected. They were served with burned bread and brunoised vegetables, which really don't go with snails. Some sort of sauce was on the snails and vegetables, along with a cold roasted garlic half. This ISN'T the way I want snails. They should be in the shell with HOT garlic butter sauce.

The Australian lobster tail was not as hot as it should have been, but tasted all right. The filet was good, but the so-called Béarnaise sauce didn't taste like any I expected or had before. It just wasn't good. Garlic potatoes and asparagus were just ordinary...something I could fix at home.

The wine was good.

My husband's onion soup wasn't hot enough. I suggested he send it back, but he didn't.

All in all, I've had better, more fulfilling food at Red Lobster than I did at Duane's. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We arrived a little early after viewing the Festival of Lights at the Inn. The restaurant texted to let us know our table was ready a little later after we checked in. The restaurant was quiet. The service was good. The sea bass with broccolini and fingerling was very good. The rib chop was excellent.

This was our second time to dine at Duane's. The food is excellent but almost everything is ala cart. This trip was on a Sunday evening at 5:30 and although the waiter and assistant were very attentive, the food took about 45 minutes to come from the kitchen. Things seemed to be a little disorganized. On our fist trip everything was fine so this time may have been a fluke?
Dinner is pricey so be aware.

Everything was great, except for the Rib Eye steak I ordered. The taste was fine but halfway through eating it, I noticed the USDA Prime sticker was grilled into the steak. I spoke with the manager, who was apologetic, but I could not finish my steak, and he did not offer any other options. Not good for a $50 steak and pretty disappointing for a nice restaurant like Duane's.

Atmosphere and servers were nice. My guest was asked to remove his hat while noticeably other dining guests were allowed to keep on their baseball caps. We were seated next to a doorway that led to another dining area, which was distracting and a little offsetting. I did inquire about this when I was being sat but my comment was dismissed.

Overall what had the expectation and potential to be a great experience actually turned out to just be an ok experience.

We had very high expectations for this restaurant and were severely disappointed. First of all we had a party of 12 and they told us they were too busy and had to separate us into two tables. Okay. I understand if you have to do this if you’re busy but you were half empty!!!

The restaurant serves alcohol but doesn’t have a full bar. They have a ridiculous wine bar. So your server has to run to the bar over a 100 yards away and retrieve your drinks repeatedly. This not only took forever but left us thirsty most of the night. Hey management change your stupid wine bar to a full bar.

We also waited almost an hour between appetizers and dinner. WTF. We also had a birthday and I asked for something amazing for my customer and they brought out one cupcake. Really???

Our bill was $2,000 and this was your dessert offering? Ridiculous.

This place under delivers and severely over charges.

I will never ever come here again. You definitely shouldn’t either.

I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and the relaxing fun with friends. We were pretty famished by the time our food arrived, but it was delicious and something that we really enjoyed for our special occasion. The filet could stand for a little more of a seasoning, but the sides and appetizers were delectable. Even the garnish of herbed goat cheese on a tomato was spectacular. Service was good, but kind of slow. I'm not sure if that is just the fancy way of doing things or if it was a busy night, but we waited quite a while to order drinks, order food, and then for our food and ultimately our check. In all honesty, we are not fancy people, but for a one time treat, it was a nice evening.

The food was fresh, service was spot on, and the atmosphere was so relaxing( and VERY romantic). I would definitely come back for the Lemon drop martini and the crème brûlée and to try their seafood dishes.
