Drunken Dragon Ratings and Reviews
Had dinner didn’t know who my server was the whole entire experience, tried to order a drink the guy didnt know what spirits he had. I asked a guy with a suit who I can assume was a manager and he also didn’t know what spirits were available. I live two blocks away not sure I’ll be returning.
Overall very good ...only one point...when you collect an enforced percentage for service prior to delivery of said service how do you also knowingly collect service on tax..good faith practice would cause you to make adjustments...once again overall very good
I had a good time. But some of the issues I had was that they don't bring the orders out together. So you'll get your food and your date or friend sits and looks at you eat till their food comes out. This is not a date environment, it's so loud inside that you can barely hear yourself think. It's basically screaming over to whoever your with.
This restaurant is a little gem. It’s authentic, has a great ambiance, good music and more importantly great food. The twice fried chicken is definitely worth ordering and the “BFR” was so tender and delicious with the bao buns served with it, they melted in your mouth.
Fell in love with this place our first visit. In fact we were asked 'how did we find them since they had no signage?'
Took friends back on our second visit from out of the country and out of town. Went great.
Went back this time with my dear wife...And wow!!! What a failure.
1. They failed to mark us showing up on open-table...I believe this is why;
2. Placed our order only to be told they do not have the Branzino. Ok. They offered to do the Snapper Sambal as the Branzino...Great. 20 mins later the other waiter turns up to say the order was not put in by his colleague and so now he would rush the order. It came out 10 minutes later half of the order. He came over apologized and said he would 'take of it' and get the other half out.
3. The menu states the price of the dish is $28. The waiter stated it is $30. The bill came $60. I pointed this out and he once more apologized, stated he would 'take care of it' went to the manager and brought the bill back with the dish priced at $56.
Folks, after the many returns and expressing my concerns and the waiter stating he would 'take care of it' I left feeling taking advantage of to state the obvious, along with the resolve, I have lost a favorite date destination.
Something has changed...And it is for the determent of Drunken Dragon.
I was not that impressed by the food, to be honest. It was good but not great. I regularly have better Asian small plates in London. However, we did not try the BBQ option. The service and the ambience were great though. It’s a great spot to hang out with large groups of friends. Beware: there is no sign, or, rather, you are looking for a sign that says Market. Very Hong Kong den like.
Fantastic "hidden" gem. Really loved all the food choices. Fries, Tenderloin, mushroom, chicken, udon noodle and chicken, and amsterdam dessert and chocolate cake jar was delicious. Only gripe was that we ordered fries at the bar and 5 seconds later got seated and we asked to transfer the drink and fries over to the table. Fries never ended up coming until informing 3 different people working there. Little discombobulated but food was 5 star. Cool spot to surprise someone with because of the unsuspecting outside.
The barbecue beef tenderloin was exceptional. I’m so glad we got the plain one instead of the one that is marinated in onions. The quality of the beef was wonderful. We loved the variety of the food with the tapas style but it’s really expensive in the end. I also really enjoyed the green papaya salad. I couldn’t tell where the green papaya was but it tasted really good. This is a classic case of a restaurant that you cannot tell the quality of from the outside. Or you can’t judge a book by its cover...
I was a party of one and Drunken Dragon overbooked and could not seat me on time. I ate in the smokers area and the ambiance was terrible. My reservation was for 8:15 and after 8:50, I was starving. I asked if I could order an appetizer at one of the open table set for a large party. They declined. The bar was not an option so the hostess offered the outside smokers area. I was "hangry" so I agreed to it. The smokers area was not intended for dining...When I approached the staff about the situation, the hostess blamed the other guests and the waiter blamed OpenTable. I may return, but only if I have a party of 4 or more.
Great place and great food ! But i dont understand why you cant reserve a grill table, and why there are not more grill tables. So no matter if you have a reservation or not, if you want a grill table you still have to wait, and for the 3rd time, the logístics and coordination is pretty poor. Shame cause its a great place !
Food was excellent, unfortunately, the food was thrown at us un the table with no order and no explanations...the noodles came before the appetizers and the steak knives came when we were done with the bbq...very disappointing because it had started very well at the bar with the drinks...
Drive from the gulf side to dine in Miami Beach on Christmas Day. Such a fun place. Service is attentive and friendly. Highly recommend the Korean bbq tables. Cuts of meat were excellent. Mochi so fresh and good. Bok choy appetizer very good- we ordered a second! Exterior is mysterious, which adds to the fun. Will be back!
