Dream Dance Steak at Potawatomi Bingo Casino Ratings and Reviews
The steaks and the Old Fashions were wonderful, the lobster and the crab cake were ok, the garlic mashed potatoes were dry and the green beans were a little too el dente...we were celebrating our 45th anniversary and the couple we were with were celebrating there 28th. I mentioned this when I made the reservation. They did nothing to commemorate this event. In addition, our children purchased us a gift card towards our meal. Our son jumped through a lot of hoops to get this done...but they had no record of it. Hopefully his credit card does not get charged.
They changed the menu, but that should not have changed the quality of the food. The bone in ribeye seemed to be something I could have made on my own grill, and bought the meat from a local store. Serving a steak on a barely warm plate is not what I have been used to.
One order was steak, salad and baked potato. It was very good, but overpriced.
One order was also steak, broccoli and loaded potato. Order was for medium well, but was prepared medium rare. She did not return the steak, but did say it was still ok.
One order was New York strip. The steak was quite and he said it was not flavorful. He would not order it, again.
I thought the food was great! The atmosphere was gorgeous! Unfortunately I also thought the smell of cigarettes in the air was nauseating. I almost lost my appetite. Also the drinks were not worth the price. I am extremely disappointed for this was our ten year anniversary. Our waiter never asked if we were celebrating anything which I thought was odd.
Bring back the old steaks, you need a bigger Filet mignon steak, 8 ozs isn't cutting it! To get nothing with your steak and have to pay for a side on top of the price is crazy! I can go to many places and have a lot bigger steak with 2 sides and a lot cheaper.
Walking in from casino you don't expect a very elegant environment almost a setting of the 1920's with high back booths. We started with fried calamari which I have to say was by far the best I've ever had! It was tender and if prepared wrong it could be "rubbery". Moving to main course I had cesar salad which was good but suggest putting dressing on side. I like garlic but this was a little too much. The broccoli cheddar soup was just good. My husband had the rib-eye and portion size was large. I had the broiled salmon over wild rice. Delicious!! You definitely will not walk away from table hungry. Keep in mind the menu is a la carte.
We were celebrating my husband's retirement. We both had the surf and turf, our regular whenever we dine at Dream Dance. They never disappoint. The food is always prepared to perfection. The service is outstanding! We always request Jessica, she is such a sweetheart. She made my husband's special day truly special!
We have dined at Dream Dance many times before, but I feel like they are charging a lot and cheapening the experience. You used to get a small bite size appetizer compliments of the chef, no more. The little treats they send home with you are now half the size. The food was good but not great. Wine is becoming overpriced by the glass. It just isn't the same quality that it used to be.
Overall we were surprised by the high ratings for this restaurant. I should state first of the staff was extremely nice so I do not fault the experience at all on them. Our waitress was kind and made sure to ask if we wanted more drinks, and they were very on top of keeping our water glasses full. However, the food was mediocre at best for a 4.6 star rating vs other Milwaukee steak restaurants rated just a little above it. Steaks were under-seasoned, over cooked, and not even warm. The ambiance of the restaurant felt very dated as other comments have mentioned. All in all there are plenty of other steak restaurants to go instead.
Brought my husband and sister for my husbands birthday and treated him to surf and turf which was excellent but a little pricey . I used my coupon and points off my players card which helped pay the bill. This is my husbands favorite place to eat but due to the prices we can't come often
Service was friendly and efficient. Food was excellent and served with a flourish - made our special evening out enjoyable. The dining area was perfect for quiet dining and tables and booths were spaced for privacy. No noise from the casino, however the location causes a walk through the smokey atmosphere which may turn off some diners.
