Drake One Fifty
It was overall a good experience and would recommend to visit this ppace for sure.
Food was okay. Server didnt seem to care about his recommendations or how we were doing. Other servers and bus ppl were very good though. Bang for buck, I'd go somewhere else
The staff make a fuss of you, the decor and ambiance are very cool and fun, and the cocktails are really good. Food is expensive for what it is, nice but not amazing, but overall you’ll have a very good time here.
Food was delicious. Service wasn’t great - Switched servers into the meal, had to ask after 20 minutes who our new server was. Had to pour own wine consistently. Was never offered coffee or dessert menus. Expecting more from waitstaff for a restaurant like that.
Food quality/consistency is not up to par with Flagship location.
This was my third and last visit, the only constant was poor quality and lukewarm dishes.
Gorgeous decor & environment for meeting friends. The drinks, service and food never fail to impress. Love this place.
A fun and eclectic setting.
Had brunch here before going to the ballet. The quiche was outstanding!
Food was very good- some dishes more successful- beet salad a bit weak- timing is an issue as hockey crowd with more flexibility was given priority over ballet crowd despite warning of time constraint- staff were excvellent - a bit noisy but overall good experience
My husband and I went there for dinner before the ballet. They were able to get us in and out in time while also making us feel relaxed. The food was amazing and we would definitely go back.
I rarely give a bad review and I would not rate this as a bad place to go! It is just that it was far too noisy for a group who want to chat.
I appreciate that many young, hip types want to be seen in a cool place rather than perhaps talk and for them this is a cool joint.
The food was good if you like beef but for non-beef types, it was limited.
However I had a range of different beers although I hought the staff could have been more helpful in describing the choices availible. We had far better expereinecs in Toronto.
Food was great. Service attentive. However they have so many tables crammed into this restaurant now that it is uncomfortable and very noisy. The wait staff had to keep asking me to pull my chair in so they could get by behind me. I was so close to the table that it was uncomfortable. And I am a small person. It would have been impossible for anyone taller or larger.
I haven’t been here for a few years and it has certainly become more cramped than I remember.
This menu was fantastic (I would literally try everything on this menu). Half-Priced bottles of wine on Sundays is a real perk! Staff advised us of specials and even ways to save (15% off when dining pre-show). We will definitely be back!!
Great Pizza and great service
The server was rude in a passive agressive way. I would not go back or recommend to a friend.
Seated us in a great spot near the kitchen. Good people, atmosphere and service. We ordered 4 things off the menu and only one was meh. The others were amazing! Drinks were on point and they had a DJ actually playing vinyl records which is always nice to see!
Good food but took ages just to get two simple glasses of wine - basically as long as it took to get the meal.
Tables are way too close together. If you're bigger than a size 6 you'll have trouble getting in and out of the bench seating along the wall.
Really cool space but the food is mediocre and overpriced for what it is
Very loud. Bland menu. Great ambiance and good service. Go for a drink but make dinner reservations elsewhere.
Went in for an early dinner before the ballet. Great booth so didn’t feel crowded; service was attentive. We had salt cod gnocchi and pizzas. Nice size servings. I know the cocktails are standard pours but they still look small in the vintage-style glassware. Tasty though!
I was questioning the pricing on some items but let me tell you that the food is AMAZING. I do believe that the seats that are not in the booths aren’t very comfortable but other than that it’s a great place 💯
Nice looking restaurant, waitress was good however we had the following issues:
- 4 of the 5 people in our group ordered the 10oz steak, only to be told a few minutes after we placed the order that they only had 2 steaks left, so two people in our party had to settle for other options. How do you run out of steaks on a Saturday night so early in the evening?
- When we got our food one of the steaks was cold to the touch like it had been sitting there for a while and the second steak was a little bit warmer but definitely not right out of the grill.
Most of the other food was good (e.g. the burgers) but for the prices they charge you will get a better meal at other restaurants in the area.
Maybe it was an off night for them but I will not visiting this restaurant again.
Second time there. Service and food are phenomenal
My partner and I and another couple thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Drake One Fifty before heading to the ballet at the Four Seasons. Except for one of our main courses (the oyster entree, if I remember correctly -- sorry, I forget our friend's reason for disliking the dish, though it wasn't an apocalyptic issue), the food was superb, the service immaculate, and the atmosphere just the right combination of intimacy and buzz. One thing: lighting, at least at our table (close to the kitchen, roughly in the middle of the room, was poor, making it difficult actually to read the menu. That's partly because my eyesight isn't what it should be, but all four of us had to get out our iPhones to magnify/illuminate the menu. That aside, we had a great time and would happily return. Thank you!!
Awesome service and so great about allergies!!
The server from New Zealand was very attentive but not intrusive. A nice balance.
Our wait staff abandoned us at the end of the night and we were not able to order dessert. Very unprofessional. Also the food was overpriced for what you got but it was delicious.
Everything was great, although prices are a bit steep for what you get. Recommended!
The waitress was very knowledgeable with the menu and provided her suggestions. She was great.
The hostess was very friendly and great. The food came out in a timely manner and was hot. Loved the scissors with the pizza.
Great innovative creative dishes, love how the menu changes and isn't pegged to just one cuisine. The only thing I would have changed would be better scoops of ice cream 😋, and a piece of my sister's macaron was missing when it was bought to the table. The noise level was a bit high but it's expected for such a busy place.
No alcohol. Just water to drink.
After tax and tip $37.00 for a beef sandwich with "salad" on the side.
Salad was just lettuce...literally no other ingredients. NO OTHER INGREDIENTS.
If you're going to offer a "special" why don't you instruct your servers to share how much it is...since the "special" seems to be the most expensive thing on the menu.
$37. For lunch. Outrageous.
Service was good, our waiter was very informative.
Unfortunately once we got our food we never saw our waiter again so that was a little disappointing.
Overall my husband and I had a great time. The restaurant was very welcoming, the atmosphere was cozy & elegant.
Having the DJ there was a great touch. Music choices were fantastic! Would definitely return.
Loved the atmosphere and decor, the food and drinks were great (especially enjoyed the pizza!). They even had a photo booth!
Server was disengaged.
A very solid option in the financial district, where service and/or food can be questionable despite being pricey. The menu is a bit small but the food here is thoughtful and tasty with most bases covered from carnivores to vegetarians, and the service is warm and accommodating without being too fussy. Bonus: they know what a "reservation" is (too many bad experiences in the same area where you make a reservation, show up on time or a tad early for it, and still wait 15-30 minutes for your "reserved" table). I'd much rather go here for a business lunch than nearly anywhere else in the area because you're guaranteed to get seated when you reserved for, and if you're on limited time they tell you honestly how they can accommodate that. Drinks are great too, right down to the non-alcoholic cocktails! I like the decor here too, and the music is loud enough to be heard in the background, but you can still have a conversation.
Tl;dr: The Drake understands hospitality.
We started with the bread basket with ricotta and hummus. Fantastic. We all went on to order salads, sides and mains from all parts of the menu. Everyone was very happy with what they ordered. Classic dishes with delightful twists. Super fresh and wonderful mix of flavors. Highly recommended and I will keep coming back.
Loved it! Service and food were spectacular. Will definitely go again.
Surprisingly limited menu. Good food but overpriced for what we got.
We went on early on a Sunday evening and the place was quiet. Bottles of wine were half price. Our server was knowlegable and attentive.
Perhaps because of the ‘hype’ I was underwhelmed. The menu
is very limited so I didn’t feel as if I had a ‘Brunch’ experience; more so a late breakfast.
Food tasted good, servers were very friendly but at times challenging to get their attention / get our orders taken which is frustrating when you see other workers (not your own server) just shooting the breeze, laughing and having a good time in eye shot.
They take reservations though which is rare for brunch in Downtown Toronto so, that’s a plus.
