we had the most amazing time! It was my first time and definitely not the last!!!!
The brunch was delicious and the white sangria was amazing! Recommend sitting outside if the weather allows it
The location was a no since it was in a run down area with shady people in the area. It wasn’t main downtown near Eaton centre so that was a let down. The washrooms are single washrooms and so dirty and small. The food was not worth it. There wasn’t much on the menu to bbegin with and the menus were cheap paper. The only thing I liked was the patio setting upstairs other than that. Will never go back here.
Always love the vibe and the attentive service though I'm not sure I'll be back so soon. The latest price increase has put the Drake in a different category that frankly I'm not sure the food is ready for. You are not serving a burger worth $22, nor a Caesar salad worth $24. I know prices are going up, but the Drake of all places should be able to maintain high value.
Birthday lunch with a friend. Nice spot on Patio. Great food, excellent service. Too many patrons stepping off patio to smoke just on the other side of the fence.
thank you. we had a good time. will come again forsure
unfortunately, we had very poor service. food served without utensils. request for utensils went unanswered. had to fetch own.
wine was ordered, not delivered. asked another server about wine, said they would speak to our server, waited another 10 mins.
Food was mediocre. Service very spotty. Waited for coffee during meal, came when meal over. Smoothie ordered late in coming. Gluten free bread too late to be enjoyed with breakfast. Much better breakfasts elsewhere.
Service was great and friendly. Food was delicious. The roasted corn rocked our worlds! Who knew corn could be that good?
Brunch is always great here and we lucked out on blueberry scones. Seems these are everyone's favourite and for good reason.
All around great experience. Love the cafe patio. Never felt rushed to finish up and leave, which is refreshing for Ontario restaurants in general.
Always a great spot when we are visiting Toronto. We had lunch with our family of 8 on a Sunday and everything was delicious. Great spot for us to catch up with our family who lives there, and comfortable enough for our 2.5 y/o. My wife and I enjoyed it so much, we returned that evening for drinks... alone😁
Atmosphere was lacking. Tried too hard to be trendy. Food wasn't memorable. Too expensive for the bland experience.
Too loud - had to yell across the table, and we were only four
Great ambiance and very friendly staff! Food portions were a bit large but delicious!
The manager of the space made myself and my partner feel so special and provided exceptional service. We weren't misgendered once and I can confidently say queer and trans folks will feel good in this space!
The chicken waffles and pancakes are good as always. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because they were out of the blueberry scones at 12pm on a Sunday!
Excellent service , tasty meal, relaxed atmosphere
The staff was really knowledgable and kind. The food was a brand new menu and absolutely delicious! The second floor roof isn't the most notable view but gives you a feeling of still being in the thick of the city but hidden away.
The food and ambiance were on par. But the service was lacking. I feel the staff judged the group based on our looks which in turn created a bad vibe.
Great sangria, amazing cocktails. Gazpacho was delicious
Food was amazing. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad and it was really good. I would highly reccomend this place if you’re taking your friends or family out to dinner or lunch on a hot summer day.
Many of my guests did not like the food. The quality was not in line with the prices. We experienced lack of service and minor issues with our dishes.
Fabulous dinner before walking to BMO field.. was still the “ snack” menu, but thoroughly enjoyed the charcuterie board, cheese and green salad ( the ginger dressing is outstanding!!) wonderful service, will be back!
A great spot for casual dining with upscale dishes. The whole restaurant and cafe was one fluent process. I really enjoyed the quick service and note for my allergy.
Great brunch, fantastic service and the house-made sausages are just yumm! We ordered a Drake Breakfast and Drake Benny and were not disappointed. Time to go soon.
Food quality excellent, staff was quick and attentive -- however -- reservations were made days in advance, and we were seated in the incredibly tightly packed cafe area. There's not enough space here to eat enjoyably, particularly with 16+ tables. The tables did not give staff enough room to comfortably walk between the bar and the table seats. The lounge area, where we've always been seated in the past, was frustratingly empty!
It was great 😊
Great space (sat on the rooftop). Food was good but I believed the salmon to be cold smoked not hot smoked so was disappointed. Waitress was ok, she never smiled, didn’t bring sugar to the table with our lattes, left our finished plates in front of us for 20-25 min. Other than the service was a nice spot for brunch.
Seafood Sunday’s wasn’t worth it - seafood was not fresh. Lobster was mealy, shrimp over cooked, a lot of the shellfish was closed (meaning not fresh). Dessert was good, but overall pretty disappointed.
Fun menu (great food) and really nice staff. Overall had a great experience here and would recommend!
The server was very lovely! The new menu is not my favorite. I loved when you had the Poke option.
a great place to hangout with friends on a Friday night , and meeting new peoples . Great food and great cocktails.
A great choice at any time...
From the moment I arrived, I was treated like royalty! I was seated on the skyward rooftop patio on a beautiful sunny day, and greeted with nothing but smiles from the staff from the moment I arrived, notwithstanding that my three friends arrived late for our reservation. Upon arrival, my friends wanted to switch to a different table, and without any hesitation the staff happily moved us to the one remaining empty table. The food was spectacular, especially the tuna watermelon ceviche (I’m still dreaming of it) and the Ontario trout! The drinks were delicious, with my personal fave being the Drake g+t (made with Hendrick’s gin and some additional ingredients that complemented the gin perfectly!). The service was great and they even comp’ed the salad of the day when my friend complained about the number of croutons (sorry drake, they’re very picky but they loved everything else!!). I will definitely come here again and would recommend it highly to anyone who wants to see and be seen while enjoying fabulous ambiance and fabulous food!
Never disappoints for brunch!
Even in the icky heat!
Brunch service at the Drake Hotel is amazing! The food is incredible and there are options for everyone. The wait staff was attentive and prompt. We made a group reservation for a morning after a bachelorette party and it was better than I could have imagined. The manager even gave us an order of blueberry scones for free since we were celebrating.
Went here for a date night with my girlfriend. Had apps (charcuterie board, sourdough bread, hummus). Apps were delicious, the hummus particularly. Also had ceasers, and both my gf and myself stated they were some of the best we’ve ever had. I ordered the wild boar rigatoni, girlfriend ordered the drake burger without cheese (lactose intolerant). I thought the rigatoni was awesome. Girlfriend did not like the burger, however it would most likely have been great with cheese (I tried it and thought it had very good flavour). Setting was very nice, very cool decorations. Lots of conversation going on and you sit very close to other guests. I will admit, it was a little overly expensive, but I can understand given the location.
Invited a couple of friends from out of town and was extremely disappointed with the size of the dishes and taste of the food - overall very bland and not impressed with quality at all. The sangria had only a few slices of orange and very little flavour. Won't be coming back.
Made a reservation and wanted Sky Yard in follow up phone call. It was threatening rain and I was also told there were special events booked up there so limited seating.
No one told me that it was trivia night so that area was not available so we had to be in the cafe which was FAR from ideal. Food so-so and cocktails not as interesting as past years.
Server was amazing, communication was horrible (I even called to confirm).
A favorite in West Queen West Village.
A good selection for brunch and the food came out fast. The service was very attentive and the decor was great for a nice get together .
