Excellent izakaya and sushi. Balanced cocktails. Excellent value during Happy Hour 5-7p.
It was awesome!
Great food, great atmosphere, great prices; a wonderful dining experience.
We were in Orlando for a business trip and a group of us was hoping to find a good sushi restaurant. The Hyatt concierge recommended Dragonfly so we decided to try it and we were all extremely glad that we did. They were very accommodating for our group which grew to 11 people but most importantly the food quality went beyond our expectations. We picked the Chef's Choice option and all of the sushi rolls and sashimi were excellent. We highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious sushi!
Delicious food but mediocre service.
Beautiful restaurant that was probably half full on a Sunday evening. I've been before and was pretty shocked at how bad the service had gotten. We were first approached by a waiter named Chris, only to have him disappear. We were then helped by a lovely young woman who's name I couldn't tell you because everything she said to us was inaudible. The service was slow but the food was delicious. Maybe we just got a new server on a slow night. Still, I'll be back.
We love this place!
I went to dinner with a close friend of mine for a special night out, as he’s embarking on his journey into sushi. I made the reservation and spoke with David, the manager of the restaurant, and decided to take a trip to the wild side and put the decision of what we we’re going to eat in the hands of the chef, also known as Omakase. We had several incredible courses, from winter vegetables to fantastic nigiri, and had two one-of-a-kind rolls made for my friend and me. The best dish of the night was the duck breast, smoked for a week and accompanied by an ume plum reduction and sauce. It was quite memorable, and we had such an awesome time. I highly recommend trying out the Omakase. It provides you with a sense of trust in the chef and you can relax and just eat what’s put in front of you. It’s especially good for adventurous types who have a hard time nailing down what to order. It made for an incredible evening, and I can’t wait to come back for more!
Sushi at a higher level. Foodie + sushi = Dragonfly. The dishes are more unique, everything is just a little different all in a good way. Really nice wine list too, good price ranges available.
As usual, we were not disappointed with our dining experience at Dragonfly... service was attentive, knowledgeable and personal. Food was amazing.
Food was delicious and service was top notch! We can’t wait to go back.
Always a fantastic experience. Andrew took amazing care of us and was able to recommend great things. Can't wait for our next visit.
Service was slow. Took 15-20 minutes to get a server to take our drink order and bring drinks. Food was excellent.
I celebrated my anniversary here and had an amazing time. The co-owner of the restaurant was very nice and made sure my experience was a great one. I’d definitely recommend this place!
Went for Valentine's Day dinner. The food was incredible. Service was fast, friendly, and all the staff was very knowledgeable about the menu. They even had someone coming around to take photos of couples there celebrating. Fantastic experience! The restaurant itself has a very composed feel and the music playing was very western. It makes the ambiance more generic American than Japanese. Maybe fusion? In any case, it didn't feel genuine hence the one less star there.
This place is Always good !
Sat at Sushi bar. It was a wonder watching the chefs. Staff was young, but well trained and extremely friendly.
Excellent food, atmosphere, and great service. Very good overall. I plan to come again
This place is crazy good. I ate so much it hurt. I tried some sea bass, fatty tuna, a bunch of great rolls full of random goodness, brussels sprouts with dried fish flakes, squid two ways, bok choy salad, corn, chicken and kobe cooked over some very special charcoal, big eye tuna, scorpion fish, and creme brûlée. Washed it down with some signature cocktails. Just before closing the chef sent out an executive roll as a special treat. It was probably the last thing left in the kitchen after I had my way with it..... This was my second visit. The first was just as good.
My husband and I love good sushi and like to try new things— Patrick was great when we told him to surprise us. We loved our food and our experience!
Great food, wonderful service. We love this place. We'll be back.
My group has dined here once or twice a year for the past several years and we were somewhat disappointed this time. There menu has been redone and unfortunately it appears they've tried to 'americanize' it with fewer authentic Japanese offerings, which is what drew us to the restaurant or finally.
Great food - especially for a celiac / gluten sensitive option.
Birthday meal. Quality of Sushi very good.
Amazing food! Great service and drinks. Definitely planning to go back soon. Their Crab fried rice is legit.
We go here whenever we are in the Orlano area. We love it.
Came here for the first (and last) time for ny father’s birthday in late January. Getting in is a pain since we valeted and walked through a courtyard to get there. May have been better if the weather wasn’t so cold out (for Florida!). Hostess was detached and didn’t seem to want to be there so fine. We had a reservation but no table was set up prior to our arrival so we had to wait. Seated and waiter came by to take drink orders and disappeared. Finally ordered our meals and sushi was alright. We expected more from this establishment from all the hype but the higher prices justify their location and decor but not so much their food. We’ve had better sushi in hole in the walls in Orlando than here. They did bring a special birthday dessert for my dad at the end so that was much appreciated but for the money, go to Slate nearby or ditch it all for Bartaco.
While on our visit to Orlando from Toronto CA we had dinner @ Dragonfly. The Meal was great, although very busy and loud the service was on point & the owner even came over to welcome us. Worth the $$
Amazing! Great food great service. I would eat here all the time if I lived in the area. Fresh and beautiful.
Food was great and different. Loved the different flavors. Disappointed in service. I asked 3 people to send waiter to us for drinks and it wasn't until we were done with our meal that he finally came by and we had to ask for more drinks. Very loud, we had to yell to speak to each other. Very impressed that the owner came by several times to talk to us. We would go again, however.
We had a variety of rolls for an appetizer, all were delicious, the spicy edamame was great, octopus carpaccio was amazing! Frequent other locations as well.
The last time I was in Orlando I asked locals where they go for sushi and every one said Dragonfly. It has terrific sushi for the novice - volcano roll, spider roll, etc - but for sushi freaks like me their selection was fantastic: very authentic Japanese preparations along with very creative flair. If I'd had more time I would have loved trying the chef's sushi tasting menu. Our waiter, Tung, was perfect, too: total knowledge of the menu and just enough attentiveness. I can't speak more highly of Dragonfly and will definitely be back every time I'm in Orlando.
Fabulous! I have two nights here. I will be back tomorrow for dinner again.
a lot of small dishes, very tasty, kids love it we do too. it is not expensive. service is professional.
Great restaurant with delicious food. Loved the shrimp tempura and cauliflower salad. Sushi was very fresh.
My wife & I love Dragon Fly. Good food, scene and service. Derrick, our server, was polite, attentive & quick. Thank you & Happy New Year.
Never a disappointment at Orlando Dragonfly
Food and service were excellent. You needed to appreciate that the food comes out at different times, so best to make sure there are some appetizers or skewers to share. Our kids food came out last, but fortunately they had some bites of the skewers.
