Dragonfish Asian Cafe
The happy hour has great items at a great price. Two of us shared 5 apps (including a 2nd order of Dragon Noodles) and four drinks and didn't break $4 for anything. The atmosphere was a fusion of classic and modern, the music was at a good volume to allow for conversation, and the wait staff was attentive.
I would highly recommend the Dragon Noodles and Panang Curry with shrimp. The curry fries were also tasty.
Really exceptional place! My go to for lunch downtown. Food is really good, well priced and the service is exceptional - unpretentious and friendly. Highly recommend!
We chose Dragonfish because it was close to the Paramount Theatre! Our reservation was for 5:00 pm after a matinee. We got in on Happy Hour prices but also ordered a few regular priced items! Service was great and the food was great! I would definitely plan to eat there after my next visit to the Paramount!
We got stuck in traffic -30 minutes late for our reservation yet they kindly seated us and made sure we were served quickly so we could get to our show.
Great good and ambience. Service took awhile. Leave extra time if going to a show.
We went for the first time on a recommendation. We tried things we had never heard of which was really fun! Our waiter helped explain some of the dishes. The food was great as was the service. We were going to the theater and they kept our leftovers for us!
Dragon fish never disappoints. Ask for Pete. He was our server and he was incredible! Funny, knowledgeable of the menu, abs quick witted it was a great dinner!
Great happy hour options!
I may recommond Dragonfish Cafe only if I know someone likes very spicy foods. Everything we ordered was spicy, even if it didn't say it on the menu. Most of the people I dine with cannot eat such spicy foods.
Also, with a 6pm reservation, they ran out of the special dish I ordered before I could get it.
I've been here a few times and though the service was excellent the food was subpar. The sauces used on the happy hour shrimp and eggplant fries were too sweet and overpowering. The grilled chicken on the other hand had no flavor. The broccoli, was really good and had a nice spice but that left us all just eating the broccoli. Will have to find a new pre-Paramount show restaurant. So disappointed!
Well as usual our meal was fantastic! To our surprise Mari made our martinis and they were perfect.
Although our drive from Kirkland isn’t fun it is worth it!
Thank you Mari and your fantastic staff!!!
Service was way too slow. Have been here multiple times, but this was the worst experience. Food took half-hour to get to table.
We arrived an hour and a half before our show at the Paramount, and ordered from their happy hour menu. Soup and a few small plates. Got our soup right away, but the rest of the food arrived an hour later. Waitress knew we were going to the show. We basically had to inhale it in 15 minutes to make the show. Will never book this restaurant again.
The café was too busy for the ratio of staff to diners. We got our meal out of order - we ordered soup, sushi and rice and a vegetable dish. The rice and veggies arrived quickly but then the other dishes didn't come. We gave up.
We do like this restaurant. There just was a service problem. My daughter and her friend (in their teens) went in prior to a show at the Paramount. They were ignored by waitstaff for 45 minutes, so by the time their order was taken, they only had a few minutes to eat. I have a feeling it was because they are young without an adult with them. It was frustrating for them on their first nice meal out in Seattle without parents. Teens are paying customers too...
Overall this restaurant is very good, so I am hoping this is an anomaly.
Food was pretty good but my husband finished his meal before mine was even served. We were served a flat beer and server didn't even notice. Just seemed uneven.
Yes! Would definitely recommend Dragonfish Asian Cafe. Food is fantastic (lots of selection, even for those that don't eat seafood), and happy hour is great.
My siblings and I went to Dragonfish before a show at the Paramount. The location is fantastic.
Word of caution, plan for a longer dinner on Mondays. Their happy hour menu is available all night (starting at 2pm; typically HH is only 4-6pm and late-night) and they haven't quite figured out how to keep up with the demand on Mondays. The kitchen not only got backed up on HH items and food took a really long time but the wait staff was slammed and we barely got any attention. Dined from about 6pm to 7:15, felt rushed, and maybe only got 1 refill of water. Not a reason to not go back, but will be cautious about Mondays.
We came on a Monday—unlimited Happy Hour. We had a reservation which I called to push back 15 minutes due to missing the bus. They were nice about doing so. Glad we had reservations because the place was packed, lots of folks waiting. Happy Hour food is a real bargain, and very tasty.
We came for a pre-theater meal. Perfect place if you are going to the Paramount....two minute walk. Monday is all-day Happy Hour prices so we ordered a variety of appetizers and liked every one. Our server was terrific...efficient and friendly.
Dragonfish always makes us smile. Lots of familiar faces on the staff, so morale there must be good. Next time, we'll bring our own wooden chopsticks, because the plasticky ones are not easy to deal with if you are eating the eggplant fries -- which you should not miss. A small nit-pick.
Delicious! We love Dragonfish cafe and try to go every time we see a show! The bacon basil fried rice is so good!
The potstickers and crab cakes were delicious!
The waitress was incredibly disrespectful to one of our guests who had a question about the menu. Said “have you ever been to a restaurant before??!!”
We had a terrific dinner and evening at Dragonfish with out-of-state guests. All members of our party were very pleased with their choices for the meal. Our server was exceptionally attentive and advised us well, without being intrusive at all. It was our best experience at Dragonfish to date, and we'll definitely recommend it to others.
The server we had was excellent, and the happy hour menu was amazingly affordable and wonderful quality! The only downside is that you have to go upstairs in a hotel to use the restroom, but I don’t think they have any control over that.
Food was not very good. I do not recommend the sushi.
Very good choice for us for a pre-show dinner. They were understaffed and the waitstaff was frazzled. Food was good.
Happy Hour food is below mediocre. Waitress is nowhere to find ( we need rice, salt, pepper!!! ) The main course chicken is good but for the price of $17, no rice?
Great happy hour, efficient service in and out for the theatre, friendly
Would not return, food ok, just not worth going back, I e joy great food.
We went on New Year's Eve for the special buffet that was offered. Several items were not available and it was an incredibly long wait between items. We went in 2017 and it was a great experience so decided to do it again. Unfortunately we did not find as much value due to the delay or lack of items that were available.
I ordered the crabcakes apperizers. Not good at all.
Also, ordered the spicy chicken appetizers ..lots of heat but a little too greasy.
My friends ordered the sushi rolls and said those were good.
The speciality drink was very good.
Went prior to seeing Lion King at the Paramount and timing was perfect as we hit Happy Hour. Food was delicious and prices during Happy Hour were economical. Ean was helpful and made great suggestions.
Pre-Lion King early dinner with the family
Usually have a great experience here. Could not make a special sushi this time for some reason and did not communicate it for over an hour.
Service was good, and the food was flavorful, however, each dish (3 appetizers and 4 entrées) arrived at the table separately. 4 diners and the 4th entrée arrived as the 1st entrée served was nearly done. The 4th entrée was also not as ordered, and while the offer was made to replace it, there wasn't enough time to do so. Timing needs to be worked on, and a bit pricey, but otherwise pleasant.
Best happy hour downtown!
Picked this restaurant due to its proximity to Paramount Theatre and lack of reservations available at other restaurants nearby. Bad choice and can not recommend to others. Food was disappointing, servicer tried and was pleasant but a definite novice and in need of training. Three major errors occurred
Date night - saw The Lion King
Our food arrived in 45 minutes, we were attending the show at Paramount and told waitress we had to leave in 50 minutes, she said no problem.
One meal was so late, we had to have it boxed and take it with us to the show.
