Dragonfish Asian Cafe
The venue is nice. My wife and I liked the decoration, specially the wall full of lanterns in the back.
The menu is limited, but the flavors were ok.
Service is good and the value ok.
Food is fabulous, but service was off that night. It took a while for wait staff to come take order, soup arrived before drinks, salad for other person arrived long after soup was consumed then long time between dishes arriving with most coming an hour after we sat down -- w/reservations. Therefore we felt rushed to finish up and make it to our seats at the Paramount. Will I go back? Absolutely! We've been many times but this night was ... off.
We have been to Dragonfish several times. A meal has taken as little as 30 minutes and felt like a fast food restaurant. This last time it took an hour and a half. We barely saw our waiter and had to flag him down for the check and again to process our credit card. Another table next to us that ordered their food at the same time were still receiving part of their order as we were leaving. Good was pretty good but it seems like nothing is ever added to the menu. Options are limited as Il Fornio and Palomino are gone but we will look harder next time.
We were pleased as usual with the quality of food and service at Dragonfish. We love the environment, and we pretty much always go there if we are seeing a show at the Paramount. We really enjoy the convenience of parking once and just being able to walk to the theater after our meal. However, I was not able to give the full five stars because we were very disappointed to find that our favorite dessert, chocolate heaven, had been removed from the menu sometime in just the last few months. This was one of the high points for us at Dragonfish and we will miss it and consider going elsewhere.
Always good food and service
Dragonfish offers many nice dishes and is easy on the wallet.
As usual we love going to Dragonfish ! Great food and great service!
Mari is so friendly and makes you feel at home!
Try to come here every time we visit Seattle. Server was good and most food came out very quickly
I have to say that most of my negitive feelings regarding this place probably stem from being seated in the walkway between two rooms right next to the kitchen. Seems that if you go to the trouble of making a reservation, there should be a bit more consideration given to giving you a decent table. That aside, the food was pretty good. Interesting but somewhat odd selections, but everything we ordered was well prepared and tasty. The service was a bit lax, but not horrible. All in all, I'm not sure I'll return or not, but the food was good.
Mediocre food, it's clear that the only way this place stays in business is due to proximity to downtown hotels and the Paramount. Hard Pass.
Food--quite tasty. Also quite expensive. What detracted from the experience was the waiter's inattention to detail. We asked for a straw--never came. Had to request a refill on water. Asked for the meat to be sliced--it wasn't. Given a choice, probably won't go back. Glad to see there are new dinner options around the Paramount.
Happy hour options were amazing. Service rocked! Super fast and friendly service. Conveniently located near Paramount.
Our server was fantastic everything he recommended was perfect. Drinks were spot on as well.
Fun crowded place for drinks and dinner before a show at the Paramount. Service was excellent. Want to come back for happy hour.
Food is great and HH is a good deal. Large enough to accommodate varying sizes of parties. They seemed short staffed when we were there but pulled service off pretty well anyway.
Nice place for a date before a show at the Paramount
Awesome food! Superior service. The hostess is a little cool and dismissive, but that didn’t matter.
Had a great time getting small bites before a show at the Paramount Theater
Waiter was excellent. The salmon was cooked beautifully, and had good flavor. The skirt steak special was overpriced at $19.50. It was basically a dozen little cubes of skirt steak and nothing else. No rice, no veggies, just meat. The salmon, on the other hand, had two nice pieces of grilled salmon, rice and bok Choi, also for $19.50. Ridiculous.
The desert of green tea cheesecake sounded interesting. It wasn’t. It was gross. Turns out, they forgot to put a sauce with it, but I doubt a sauce would have helped. Returned it and tried a chocolate mouse-cake desert, which was ok. Would certainly not order it again.
Location is good for going to shows at The Paramount.
LOVE the food here and come often. The eggplant fries are amazing!
The overall experience was nice. Eggplant fries were my favorite.
Food was suitable for the price. Nothing to brag about but I enjoyed what I did eat. Salmon was cooked nicely. Spicy tuna was quality. Their happy hour menu is pretty sweet. Our server was quirky and friendly. Seemed like he genuinely wanted to do a good job. The speed at which the food came out was a little off. Seemed like we ordered before others who got their items first. Things came out in a weird order. I wouldn’t go out of the way to tell my friends about this place, but if they asked about it, I’d tell them that they’d enjoy eating there. Especially that happy hour!
Great experience! We went at 5:45 and caught the tail end of early happy hour. The food was delicious, the portions generous for happy hour, and everyone was kind! We went with our baby, and they helped us find a place for his stroller. Would highly recommend
Food was tasty but service was terrible. We recieved the wrong drink and one member of our party never recieved thier food until we were paying. I like the flavors but service will keep me from returning with a large party.
My brother was in town with his girlfriend for a few hours during a layover. He was craving Asian so my boyfriend and I took them to lunch at Dragonfish. Once we placed our order, it took 15 minutes for the drinks to arrive. It took another 20 minutes for the first order to arrive. Another twenty minutes later, the third person’s dish arrived. At no point did our waiter return to check on us. After ten more minutes I finally saw the waiter and asked about the fourth person’s order which still hadn’t arrived. After some discussion with other staff, our waiter returned to say that dish was no longer on the menu and could he place another order for us. We had placed our order over an hour ago at that point and he just realized this? We placed another order and requested to talk to the manager. The manager never showed up. In the end the waiter did remove the fourth order from the bill but also charged us for another item that we never received. Complete and utter incompetence! We saw similar situations happening to other tables. The kitchen may be to blame in part or they will say they were just busy but I’ve never seen a worse waiter. They were not at capacity - empty tables were available- and busy doesn’t excuse idiocy. I will never return.
The salmon was amazing.
The food quality is not as good as before. Will not return
Do not recommend the breakfast certain items not available from menu eggs very greasy. Waited to long to be seated and served. Almost 2hrs for a simple breakfast.
Was traveling in Seattle and stopped for dinner here. My sister is a vegan and my son has life threatening dairy allergy. They were able to accommodate them beautifully
Monday is happy hour from 4pm until 1am
Great ahi poke and incredible service on a Friday for lunch. A great value!
We were here from out of town. The host explained that the items were limited for the night and we decided to proceed otherwise. The food was amazing for sure, the speed of service was sooooo bad. We ordered chicken potstickers as an appetizer and somehow we received three orders of them, 20 min apart, still no entree. We sent the second potstickers back but they kept bringing them. We were there for almost two hours. It just seemed like a bad night for the team. The restaurant was packed as we left. The staff just seemed overwhelmed and the communication of items that were limited. The food would make me go back, id have to check on the item availability before I go again.
Really can't comment on the food. We got seated only to discover we were given Happy Hour menus. Asked for dinner menus and were told that they were out of most things so no dinner menus. We wanted a meal, not snacks, so we left and had a lovely meal elsewhere. Poor planning, people! Used to be one of our favorite post-theatre restaurants. No more.
Excellent food and service. Will definitely come back!
Happy Hour at Dragonfish is the best deal in town. The food is delicious and the cost is super reasonable.
Great Asian fusion food with a nod to the highlights of the tastes of China, Korea Vietnam etc
Great happy hour menu especially the tempura peppered bacon
Delicious delicious delicious!!!
The lemongrass chicken was incredible! My boys 11 & 13!both loved their dinners (sushi and Chinese sausage fried rice). My husband chose shrimp curry and it also was a big hit. We will be craving this meal and be sad we are back in Oklahoma without Dragonfish down the street!!!!
Traveled a long way for a chamber of commerce event and heard great reviews about the restaurant. The service was spotty with some people bringing food saying that they weren’t our server and couldn’t take orders or requests for items like refill on drinks. We would have at least 10 minutes between our server coming by. The seafood tasted frozen and not local. I was extremely disappointed to have wasted a night so far away.
Went to Dragonfish before a show. Kitchen was backed up and we did not get half of our food. They did not charge us for the food we did not receive. The food was tasty. They are close to the theaters, so they should expect the pre-theater rush.
Dragonfish is one of my very favorite restaurants in Seattle. I recommend it to everyone that visits here. The food is amazing and the service is always top notch.
