About Downtown Kitchen
Welcome to the Downtown Kitchen. We have one goal in mind when we open our doors every day - "To do whatever it takes to create the best dining experience possible.' That means buying certified Angus beef, Ashley Farms chicken, New Zealand Spring lamb, dayboat fish and fresh local produce. We change our menus daily according to market and season availability. Our style of cooking is defined as simplicity at its best. We built the restaurant to elevate the guests' level of comfort. The bar, tables, and booths were custom-made by a local wood worker. And we searched the nation for unique works of Art to deck our walls. Music of Blues and Rock greats fill the air. Service is as important as the food. Our staff is sincere, knowledgeable and friendly. They hustle to deliver the best service around, yet take the time to remember your name and how you like your drink.

Downtown Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
Had another great experience at Downtown Kitchen. Our meals were outstanding (as always). My Salmon was spectacular, could not have been prepared better. And my wife's steak was perfect, thick, medium, great sauce, perfect portion size. I do not normally brag about salads but it was super as well. Thanks again - see you real soon.
Ate there Friday evening to celebrate our anniversary. The food was excellent, starting with the appetizers, and the entrees were outstanding as usual. I had the salmon, and its consistently one of the best salmon dishes in any restaurant around here. Service was excellent, manager was very nice and stopped by, just a great dining experience overall, highly recommend.
This was the nicest dinner my husband and I have enjoyed in a while, even though we often eat at nice restaurants. The service was perfect. Not too much, not too little, just right with sincere attention to detail. The appetizer, drinks and meal were all above and beyond good! Very nice experience.
First visit. Great experience. Staff very people friendly. Fried green tomatoes were unbelievable. I definitely will recommend and return for another great experience. I am new to Canton. Lived 30 years in Alpharetta. I would rate this restaurant above Alpharetta restaurants.
We went here for an anniversary dinner, wanting to "go local". Though the service was excellent, the food and ambiance and value did not live up to expectations.
The calamari was quite heavily battered, and too salty for my taste. The salad was fine, and the scallops were as well. My husband's steak was tasty, as was his potato. No bread was offered.
But the primary problem was the noise level. It was the loudest "upscale" restaurant I have experienced. OK for young, rollicking folk, but certainly not a place for a quiet, special me
Our son in law recommended the Downtown Kitchen to us and said we would really enjoy it. We are big fans of Goin' Coastal so decided to try it out. Absolutely will be back. The food and atmosphere was great. We went with another couple and had a wonderful time. The entrees we enjoyed we hanger steak, pork tenderloin and a special that was beef medalions and shrimp. We all really enjoyed our dinners. If there were any complaints it would be the green beans we so tough I couldn't cut them with a fork, but everything else was amazing! Will definitely be back. We also enjoyed the staff, they are very knowledgeable and attentive without being "in the way". Thank you for a great dining experience.
We had a reservation and were seated right after we checked in. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We received enough attention but not overly done. The food was cooked to our liking, and we all seemed happy with our entrees which included mushroom ravioli, short rib, yellow fin tuna and the salmon. The menu selection is a bit limited. The seasonal vegetable was kale, not my favorite, but 2 people from our group ordered it and ate it all. We did share a piece of peanut butter pie for dessert which was excellent. We will definitely go back.
Service is fantastic. Very friendly and Chase is great. The fried green tomatoes for the crab on top are out of this world and so is the peanut butter pie. The hanger steak is one of the best I've ever had and the stuff chicken is very good as well. Highly recommend this restaurant.
We celebrated our 46th anniversary here on 8/31/17. It was a Monday, so we both had the Monday nights get special/-12 oz. ribeye with salad and side, for $20. We ordered wine, and were very pleased with the waitress' recommendation. In fact, we were very happy with the service our waitress provided. She was quite personable in addition to being knowledgeable about the menu and efficient. All in all it was a super experience and we will be return customers. Have already recommended DK on our neighborhood Facenook page.
Throughly enjoyed the delicious meal Friday night. I had the swordfish which was amazing..my date had the "special" steak which he said was delicious also. His steak was a medium rare..exactly as he ordered. Our waitress was very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive.
The only con was it got very loud as the restaurant became busier and a normal conversation was out of the question. Maybe choose an earlier time next trip. Our reservation was for 6:45.
Excellent restaurant. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. We dined on the second floor, all 3 of the staff were excellent and had great knowledge of the menu offerings. Food was cooked perfectly. A great time was had as we weee celebrating a new job. Thanks 2nd floor downtown kitchen staff!!
