Dinner is served nightly beginning with Happy Hour at 5PM featuring $6 selected wines by the glass and cocktails, $4 draft beers and discounted pricing on the dinner menu. We feature a well curated wine list and a progressive craft cocktail menu.
The restaurant in set in the heart of downtown Tucson one block from the hub bub of Congress Street in a century old brick building with changing collection of local curated by Etherton Gallery. The decor is comfortable and modern with well designed colors and an array of seating options. An expansive outdoor patio faces 6th Ave.

As always we had an excellent time at Downtown Kitchen. Their calamari is amazing! We tried the meatballs and they were delish! Almost everyone at the table had the cornmeal catfish and it was amazing!
We always enjoy DTK&C and this was no exception, a very slow Sunday night not long after they reopened post COVID. A 5pm reservation and we were the only folks seated in the dining area, a couple in behind us sat in the bar area for happy hour. Appetizers were the meatballs and the calamari and both were very good, the meatballs were very unique and the sauce was amazing. For dinner 2 had the catfish and I the back ribs. The kitchen was slow but looked to be minimal staffing. Server was Jay and he was great, service conversation, etc!
Food was good and fresh. Service needs work. Waited over 20 minutes once seated at a table to get server to stop by and for that we had to ask another server walking by. Also Large booth with chairs directly across for 4 was extremely uncomfortable and too deep set for short people. I’m 5’2 and had to either lay back or float my legs off the Bench in the air. Pillows would have helped. I had to position my purse behind me for support to eat pasta.
János and staff have taken extraordinary precautions against the COVID virus, as we expected, and dining was a safe and the wonderful experience it always is at DK&K.
We were stopping In Tucson for the night on our drive back to Texas. What a lovely place ! The food was outstanding and the service excellent.

First time in the restaurant, and had an excellent time. Menu was extensive and delicious. Only thing that could have added more class would be a dessert menu that wasn't just on printer paper, not that it mattered- the lavender lemon mascarpone ice cream was excellent.

We’ve been here several times and the menu is always interesting. This time the menu was interesting but the food was awful, service poor and on a Friday night in high season for Tucson the place was less than a third full. Obviously others had already figured out that Downtown Kitchen is only going downhill
Ending up sitting at the bar for dinner after happy hour as the bartender was so nice and helpful. The mushroom bread was amazing as was the squash soup and duck dish. Drinks were awesome too
The serving staff was inattentive, even though there were very few full tables when we arrived. we sat there for about 10 minutes before any wait staff appeared at our table. The food was really not prepared well. The pork chop was bloody red in the middle, and the sauce lacked flavor and complexity. The lamb was cooked well, but seemed to have only been seasoned with chili powder. Again, very little flavor, and no complexity. The duck was overall pretty good, but the posole was overly oily and again, lacked flavor. Definity would not recommend this restaurant.
Celebrating my brother in law’s life
We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. Our waiter was friendly and answered any menu questions we had. The drinks were very good and the food delicious. My husband ordered from the Sense of Place menu and I had the Jewels of the garden in puff pastry. Both were very good and we would recommend. Both the Oaxacan bread pudding and the lavender honey mascarpone ice cream sundae with blueberries were awesome. A wonderful experience.

The food was wonderful, and this could have been a memorable experience. However, I think our server forgot that we were one of his tables. After we ordered, he never stopped at our table again until we flagged him down to get the check. We watched him stop at the table next to us and behind us several times without ever looking our way. It made for a disappointing evening. I do think most people around us had good service though.
I’ve fined at Downtown Kitchen several times and the restaurant has never let me down. Innovative menu with an attentive staff blends nicely. I’ll definitely be back when visiting Tucson.
We were a large group and our waiter handled the situation well. The food was creative and delicious. The noise level was higher than we would have liked because it was hard for everyone to hear. Downtown Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in Tucson.

As always, excellent food, service and ambience at Downtown Kitchen. Celebrated our 30th anniversary that night, after having Janos cater our wedding dinner 30 years ago. I had the duck three ways, my husband had the salmon and it was all delicious.
I've been there about 6 times in the past and have always had great food and great service. This past weekend I had guests from out of town and immediately thought of Downtown Kitchen for dinner out after a performance at TMH. Unfortunately we were disappointed with our meals. The duck was dry, the lamb was very fatty and was served in the same soup that was listed as an appetizer. Not much creativity there. We did actually order the gnocchi which was just okay served with a kind of beet sauce which webfiund a strange combo if flavors. In addition, it is a tiny amount of food for the price😔

I had read about the Downtown Kitchen in a tour book we were using, having driven down from Seattle to Arizona for the month of February. I was not disappointed. The attention to detail and blending of flavors in the food we ate was just wonderful. The service, also, was impeccable in a warm and personal way. The meal will remain one of my favorites for years to come -- particularly the duck three ways.

The food and drinks were outstanding! Unbelievable flavors and attention to detail with all food and drink items! Loved everything, including the waiter! You will kick yourself if you don’t go here!!
First of all, finding a parking place is horrible! Setting that aside, the food was just ok. I had duck and my wife had salmon. If I am going to drive 45 minutes downtown and 15 minutes to find parking, I expect much more that an over priced, average quality dinner. Won't go again and wouldn't recommend.
We had their pre-fixe dinner for Valentine’s Day. We have dined here often in the past but we were overall disappointed with the meal. Nothing stellar.
As soon as you walk in you can tell what you’re getting yourself into. Went there on a Valentine’s Day so they did have a different menu than normal. Food was very good, just missing an identity. Definitely great service and presentation was phenomenal. Would come back and it’s a great place if you’re looking for something new! Drinks were not half bad!
At least not for Valentines day, regular menu is good.
The Cocktails were beautifully crafted. I am a vegetarian and was able to find several options including the stuffed poblano Chile which i highly recommend. My friend had a tamale pie with mole that was fabulous and also vegetarian . Do not skip desert especially the lavender ice cream.

Fabulous dinner as usual. Mussels and calamari, duck then the terrific chocolate jalapeno sundae. This along with great service and ambience. We love this place.
A real gem in Center city Tucson- duck breast (sous vide?) and confit were fabulous; the lamb shank fell off the bone. Hamachi and quail appetizers were unique and coherent (and they tasted great too!) So far on our visits to Tucson we haven't found another place with as expertly prepared cuisine.
We had an early dinner prior to an early morning flight the next day. As usual the food was delicious. The soup was tasty and the Caesar with white anchovies was a hit. The mussels with pasta was perfect, just the right size with great flavors. The duck was a hit with my spouse and as a non duck lover I even found it to be delicious.
Service is always prompt with waitstaff that is knowledgeable and well prepared. We love the ambiance which reminds us of bistros in some of the larger cities.
