   The French Dip I ordered arrived with crushed bread and the bread was soggy. The horseradish cream that came with it was unappetizing and did not seem prepared on site. Unfortunately the brownie for dessert was crispy, slightly burnt, and the raspberry sauce was chunky and lacked flavor. I would not advise to go to this restaurant for the food, but the ambiance was nicely situated on the river and it seems like a great place to hang out to watch a game or have bar snacks.

   Downtown Joe's is so great we actually went there twice over our weekend stay in Napa. Situated directly on the river in Downtown Napa, the setting is amazing and will be even better once they finish the construction of the outside decks, then later the full remodel. Currently, it's like going back in time. The bar area to the street-side is bustling, but we were looking for a quieter experience with the dining room directly facing the river. The service was fantastic, specifically Cynthia. For food, we had chicken wings, chicken quesadilla, fish & chips (garlic fries - yum) and later the Chile Verde for Cinco De Mayo. This will be our new go-to for our annual Napa trip!! K & R - Las Vegas, NV

   Our service and food was excellent! My husband loved his steak and beer. I loved my french dip, and ate too much. The peach cobbler was excellent, sweet, yummy crust. We had a very enjoyable dinner and our server was very accommodating.

   I review restaurants based on quality of food and service, not ambience or comfort. Joe’s is a bar, but the food is outstanding! It was karaoke night when we were there, which I hate, but it did not bother us at all. The chicken chimachurri and the grilled salmon were both incredible. Service was excellent. I will definitely go back and highly recommend you giving it a try.

   We reserved a table Riverside and let them know it was our 40th anniversary. They took very good care of us and are just lovely people. We had their house made Reuben and the Cajun pasta, and they were both very tasty. We will be back.

   The Staff at Downtown Joe’s are exceptional!! Always friendly and welcoming and they go above and beyond to accommodate the Customers. There are plenty of delicious food choices and they are all well-prepared! Highly recommended for a fun, casual experience with beautiful views of the Napa River.

   Downtown Joe’s is a great stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The service is always good and the food is served hot and fresh. In addition Downtown Joe’s has a great selection of craft beers, many of which they brew onsite.

   Beer was good but the food OK to poor. My wife ordered the fish taco. Fish was overcooked and the portions surprisingly small. I ordered a hamburger which was pretty good but maybe not really worth $20. Ambiance could use some work...the place has not been updated in a long time. Definitely better brew pubs out there.
