   Our server was the best we’ve ever had here. I wish I knew her name but black woman that waited on our table was absolutely phenomenal. She should be in charge of all training because I have eaten here a few times where the service was kind of missed and it Negatively affected our meal. she’s made up for that experience tenfold and made our dining an absolutely enjoyable experience. Everyone on wait staff should be like this person. She also helped us remember what makes us come back to the downtown grill. Good food and service..

   Downtown Grill easily tops the list of places to eat while you're in town. They offer incredible food paired with great service. Their General Manager even helped me arrange to have a bouquet of flowers set on the table along with a fine bottle of wine he recommended; waiting at our table upon arriving for a reservation for my wife's birthday. I was very grateful that they were willing to go above and beyond to make our experience one to remember. It left a lasting impression on my wife and I; making our "special occasion" meal an easy decision in the future. I highly recommend their Elk Chops. They are cooked to perfection and the quality of meat is top notch. I can't wait for our next visit!

   We ate crab cakes, French onion soup, and duck breast. All delicious! Very impressive list of single malts (though my first choice was not available)! Fascinating old brick building in an alley. Felt like we were eating in a speakeasy! We enjoyed it!

   The first thing I noticed is the restaurant has a wonderful ambiance. We previously made a reservation and was seated immediately when we arrived. There is a wide selection of specials and regular menu items. The food was fantastic!

   Food and service were fantastic as always! I come down to Macon a few times a year to visit with my daughter at Mercer and we are never disappointed. They always have great specials and the staff is amazing. We will be back next semester!!

    This was our 2nd visit to Downtown Grill, the shrimp and andouille grits appetizer was AMAZING, just as it was on our 1st visit, we highly recommend it! My husband ordered a ribeye, the one off the menu, which is what I had the 1st time we came in. Whereas mine the first time was a thick, at least 1" cut, my husbands this time was essentially flat, and tasted extremely heavily of the grill. My filet was cooked perfectly, and our sides were amazing. We figured they had an off night on the ribeye, it will not keep us from visiting Downtown Grill again. Our service was OUTSTANDING!!!!
