    Great experience. Excellent sushi options. Drinks are good. Our requested booth was in the back in a corner surrounded by guests already. We requested to sit at the bar which was empty and the bartender did an excellent job. I will definitely return. Wagyu may be overrated but I say that for the entire city, not just this restaurant.

    Probably the best Japanese restaurant in the Boston area (or at least easily among the top 3). Sure, specialized omakase places are great (and we've been to the best in Boston), yet Douzo offers many items that are consistently of a similar highest quality (pretty much all sashimi items) in a more relaxed ambiance...and of course the signature wagyu, X toro, and softshell crab tempura dishes. Prices are fair; not cheap but great value, and we know quality will be consistent every time (we've been there around 10 times, if not more, and it never disappoints). Personnel, including the manager and waiters, are always nice, very kind, helpful, and efficient (we always request Adam as our waiter!). In sum, although we now live farther from downtown Boston, Douzo is a place we'll keep coming back to celebrate, bring family, or just for any reason! Definitely one of our two favorite places in greater Boston (the other one is a tapas restaurant).

    Douzo is a nice restaurant that offers great ambience and good drinks. However the price for the sushi is expensive for what it is worth. There are better options for the type of dressed up sushi offered.
