    I took my partner here for her birthday dinner, and we couldn’t have had a better experience!! Amazing food along with the most friendly staff! Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant to anyone looking for an intimate dinner date!

    The best Japanese cuisine I have tasted in USA. I have tried many places & without naming them, I can say this is the Best Food. They have an expansive selection & the team is very helpful in getting you the dish you require. They were very accommodating with slight modifications that we needed. Kudos to the Chef, the Serving Team & the Management.

    Great food and cocktails and even better service. I was with a very high-maintenance friend and the waitress was so patient and gracious. Kudos to her for dealing with my friend's obnoxious behavior.

    Took forever for the food to come. We were stressed because we had a train to catch and the waiter kept coming over to apologize for how long the food was taking. Not his fault, but seems like the restaurant is understaffed. My table was basically adjacent to another diner’s and it was a really weird ambiance. At one point I was trying to enjoy my food and they were looking at it and commenting on it and I felt like I had to reply to them when I really didn’t want to be bothered. Food was mid-tier sushi, nothing special. Spicy tuna roll was great, and the toro on fire was fun. Wouldn’t come back because there are so many other places in Boston to try for sushi with better service and ambiance. $150+ bill for mediocre experience…

    The food and service were fantastic. Unfortunately after eating and paying the bill, we saw a mouse run across the dining room. When I alerted the hostess on the way out, she was very casual about it, she didn’t apologize or seem surprised in any way. It left me with the sense that this is a common occurrence. Horrible ending to a delicious meal.

    Sushi was probably the best I’ve had in Boston! I read another review that said the old fashioned was “the stuff of legends” so I tried it and…that was the perfect description. Wow. Def get it.

    Food was great and you can’t beat the price! Our only complaint was that our waiter went missing for about 15 minutes. Another waiter had to take our order because we couldn’t find our waiter. (It just opened and wasn’t busy yet so I’m not sure what he was doing)

    The service was atrocious. Not only did it take a ridiculous long time to get our food, when we did, the server forgot my son's meal. It finally came a good 5 minutes after everyone else had finished and he was irritated when we asked to take it to go. He rolled his eyes at us and was quite rude. Plates are cleared before we were finished. Only one person (who I stopped to ask a question because our server was no where to be found) was responsive and kind, everyone else was miserable. Most of the food was good with a few exceptions, but nothing worth going back for. SUCH a disappointment as I had read it was in the top 10 sushi restaurants in Boston.

    We enjoyed another wonderful pre-theater dinner at Douzo on Saturday evening before attending a performance at The Lyric Stage. The service and food were terrific, and the noise level was lower than during our visits in prior years, making dinner conversation much easier and more enjoyable. We look forward to our next visit!

    We were celebrating our daughter’s 20th birthday. We had noted it in the reservation but the restaurant didn’t acknowledge the occasion. It was a bit disappointing and I think my daughter was surprised since she hostesses at a high end restaurant nearby that routinely serves special events. Seems like a small thing but as the parents who had driven four hours to take our kiddo, newly out of her teens, to dinner, it was a damper.
