We will definitely be back! Tasting menu was outstanding.
Best place in Philly hands down
Great restaurant. End of story.
Cool spot in the basement. We did the tasting menu which is shared with the table. It was a fun survey. Drinks are expensive, but on par with the rest of center city. They had some interesting flavor combinations though.
Jordan was an absolutely amazing server! He walked us through each of our options on the menu and gave great recommendations. His service really made the meal special. The food was great and we’re excited for our next reservation
Delicious and great service as always. Thank you! This has been our second time there.
Exceptional. As always. The food, server, atmosphere, and drinks are all wonderful. I recommend it to everyone. Love this restaurant.
I loved the walk down the floral smelling, candle-lit stairwell into the dining area. We had cocktail seating next to the bathroom which I would decline if offered. Our waitress was amazing. She recommended drinks based on our likes and she was spot on! We tried the chef's choice tasting menu; 10 plates. 2 of those raw. We had salmon, tuna, octopus and Chilean sea bass just to name some of what we got to try. Food was delicious! It felt like an eating experience that I want my friends and family to experience! I've been calling it tapas, Japanese style.
Food was not great for the price we paid. Shrim tempura roll was chewy with too much seaweed. The fried rice had an after taste of raw chilly powder. The Japanese chicken was dry. Chicken and swordfish skewers were excellent.
Second time back to Double Knot and this time chose the Chefs Menu! It was amazing and well worth the price. The only confusion part was it didn’t state 60$ per person for a 10 meal course. It’s proportioned for 2 people, after that was explained it made more sense. I suggest counter seating so you get to see everything being done. Service was amazing! The Tuna and avocado for first dish wash amazing if you like raw tuna. I would recommend to anyone who wants to try something new and exciting for this restaurant! Will always come when I can!
Long wait for our table despite reservation, but staff provided us with drinks while we waited. Excellent food and guidance from our waiter.
Great ambiance and outstanding food - excellent for a night out on the town, and to let your hair down. We ran into a few local celebs who were also dining there - low key, but high brow at the same time. Would highly recommend it for something different to do.
Second time dining here and it was better than before!
Excellent atmosphere and food. Accommodated our party very well as it was my wife's birthday. Had a very special time. Would recommend and return.
The food was perfection, the drinks were delicious, and the decor was lovely. The outdoors sign was a little small and we and another group were having a bit of trouble finding it but a quick call to the restaurant and they told us what was on either side of it. The staff was very friendly. It was busy so there was a bit of a wait even with our reservation but the food was so good it was worth it.
Great service, chef tasting was excellent
My girlfriend & I ordered the tasting menu. Probably should’ve just ordered from the sushi bar. We both didn’t like the food from the kitchen. It wasn’t anything special. Heard great thing about this place but I was pretty disappointed. Our wine tasted water down. Swordfish tasted old. Unagi don & crab shumai was not good. Brussel sprouts was burnt. The only thing we liked was salmon & ceviche appetizer & the Kobe beef was delicious.
I will definitely be back for sushi!
Unbelievable meal. I knew it was going to be good, but that meal was on another level! Everything was impeccable - the food, the service, and the space was beautiful. I could actually hear the people I was dinning with and did not need to shout. Do the chef's tasting!
Food is good, the sashimi is paper thin.
Pair it with a bottle of great junmai daiginjo and some yummy cocktails.. you may forget about the paper thin fish and order a bunch of Japanese tapas !
Service was good though and the separate basement space made it fun!
Phenomenal. I believe our waiter’s name was Dustin (and he was incredible). We opted to do the tasting, putting our fate in the hands of the chef. Easily one of the best decisions we made during this Philly trip. Every dish was a delight, the cocktails were superb, and the ambiance was trendy and energized. I’ll have dreams about this place.
Outstanding food. Somewhat pricey but unusual menu. Menu is a lot to navigate and a bit intimidating.
Really great variety in the menu; everything we had was so distinct and enjoyable. Service was wonderful; worth the time for a wonderful dining experience!
The experience was great! Our servers were very attentive and extremely polite AND the restaurant served us complimentary desert for a surprise birthday celebration!!
I've popped in to double know a couple times for drinks, but this was our first dinner experience there and it was lovely! I made a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday and it was even better than I expected. The hostess sat us at a candle lit table in the basement. The vibe is a super cool speak easy/exclusive feel! Everyone we passed welcomed us as the hostess guided us to our table. Our server was informative, attentive and friendly. We ordered a few items and cocktails, everything was fantastic!
We really enjoying the full dinning experience, friendly staff and quality food!
Second time here. Can’t wait till the third, fourth, etc!
The best in creative Japanese fusion! Love this place!
Awesome Japanese fusion experience, great ambiance, tempura fried cheese curds are the bomb!
Did the Chef’a tasting and let’s the Chef decide what to send out - absolutely delicious - there was not leftovers!!
Best service in years at ANY high end restaurant in Philadelphia. Comparable to Brooklyn, New York's elite establishments.
Cool setting, good grub, fun experience. Great service as well
Everyone was extremely pleasant and customer oriented. We did the chefs tasting menu. Well worth it.
Great meal and great service. We did the chef tasting menu and it was amazing.
The specialty cocktails are the best in Philly.
Food was delicious and waiter was very helpful with recommendations. We were seated a little late for our reservation but Double Knot staff kept us up to date on when would be ready and provided an appetizer on the house which more than made up for any inconvenience. Will be back again to try other menu items and recommend as a great date spot or for special occasion.
Excellent meal. Friendly staff. Food came out on a perfectly timed basis. Weren’t waiting for drinks at any point during the meal. Didn’t feel rushed.
Ryan, our waiter was excellent! He met all our needs during our dining experience. We also have had great service from Miles, the manager!
Double Knot food in the winner here, served stunningly well by a small army of incredible servers. All in a magical mysterious space that's somewhere between a 19th Century opium den and a futuristic industrial hideaway. Impressive all the way around.
Amazing tasting menu. Great ambiance and service. 5 stars all the way!
I am blown away every time I visit DoubleKnot. The food is delicious, the ambiance is cozy and unique, and the service is always outstanding! This is my go-to place in the city; the prices are very fair for the amount and quality of food and service you receive. I can't recommend Double Knot highly enough!!
Excellent just wish I could get reservation more often it's tough to get in
