Great service. Great food. Tough rude loud terrorizing customer near us; felt bad for server/management. People suck, this place does not.

Evening: Out of 6 items that we ordered the best thing was my cocktail. I found food creative but not memorably delicious. Tables are weirdly positioned close to each other, although the restaurant is quite roomy and there is a lot of empty space. The interior design is the most impressive thing about this restaurant, and the bar sitting is comfortable. I'd go back to have a drink and a bite but probably not a dinner.
Morning: as a coffee shop I really liked this place: good coffee and a tasty pastry.

Great food, great service from our waiter. But an hour and a half after we sat down, the host/manager came over to tell us that we had to leave soon because another party was coming. They claimed they told us when we arrived, but they didn’t. If that’s an issue, then don’t allow people to book online. This isn’t uncommon for double knot though, they always have an arrogance about them.

The staff and servers did an incredible job of making me feel special on my birthday, despite the fact that there was a longer wait for my table than expected. This place never fails to amaze me with the quality of the food and the quality of the people who work there. I am extremely satisfied and full ☺️

Every time I go to double knot I continue to be blown away by the experience. The ribeye scallion robatayaki is one of my favorite dishes. if you like whiskey and smoky flavors I highly recommend the double knot cocktail.

As always an AMAZING EVENING. We brought in foodie guest from NJ who was totally blown away and booked a table for upcoming birthday dinner party.
Food is over the top as is the service. Our server Sam was outstanding and the manager stopped by to make sure we were happy.

Once you’re taken to your seats in the beautiful hide away downstairs your adventure begins! Their drink menu was amazing. Though being the first time there, the menu was a little confusing. Once explained it all worked out. Depending on your sense of adventure give the chefs menu a try and let them pick your meal! We will be doing that next time. Service was amazing and very friendly. Don’t be discouraged but “ counter” seating it’s right and the cooking area and you get to watch the magic happen ! Great place will be eating here more often.

The food was good, but it was all too precious and hip for me. They acted like it was this super-special dining experience, but instead it was just okay. I was upset that our request for a table for 2 turned out to be the 2 of us (a coworker and me) sitting on a banquette next to each other with a tiny cocktail table in front of us. We had to twist ourselves to talk to each other all night. Very uncomfortable. The food was good, not great. You can definitely do better for sushi. Go if you want to be hip, but otherwise take a pass.

Great service, not great food, expensive on top of that. Stick to sushi and seafood, and the robotayaki. Simple dishes like brussel sprouts were burnt and over seasoned.

Double Knot is touted as the best sushi in Philadelphia. While this may be true, it isn't the entire story. We chose the chef's tasting menu option and only had three very small plates of sushi with that. Those were excellent but we would have liked to have more. Somehow grilled lamb chops and duck confit scrapple in a Momofuku style bao are not what comes to mind when thinking about good sushi. Everything was delicious but it wasn't sushi or even that Japanese--no rice at all.

Upon the recommendations of friends, we went to Double Knot for our anniversary and ordered the Chef's tasting menu. It was spectacular! Every dish was amazing in its own way, though some were surprisingly excellent, like the edamame dumplings. I would never have thought of describing edamame as buttery, but these dumplings were; and the accompanying broth was herbal and woodsy. The cocktails were tasty and the beer/wine selection excellent. We are looking forward to going again to try the other dishes on the menu.

Our server insisted we order everything at once, stating that appetizers will come out immediately and other dishes will take 20 to 40 minutes. Well, one app made it to us right away, along with main dishes, but other appetizer came last and was not hot. When I mentioned this to server she brusquely disagreed saying it was “dropped hot,” which it most definitely was not. Sushi was lukewarm, like the soup, and none of the dishes were very good. Not going back.

Better timing of plates. The small plates and larger plates coming out whenever is getting old and not very conducive to having a relaxing meal. Just use a little judgment or have servers get some training in timing. Or the kitchen. Or whatever it takes to space out a little more. Otherwise fantastic!

This was our second visit. This time we had the tasting menu and let the chef choose (you can opt to choose yourself.) There were 10 courses, most of which were, thankfully, a couple of bites each. At the end, not only were we completely sated but enjoyed each and every course. Each item was creatively prepared, seasoned perfectly, and presented beautifully. This is a real fit-for-foodies place, whether you are having a small bite with some excellent wine, etc.
