Double Knot is an ideal location for entertaining. Two semi-private dining areas that can accommodate up to 30 and 40 guests respectively are perfect for gatherings of any occasion. The entire restaurant can seat up to 70 for a sit down dinner or in excess of 100 for a social gathering. The sushi counter offers a one of a kind, personalized experience for 12 guests. Our event coordinator will work with you exclusively as you plan your event.

Waited over half an hour to get seated for reservation and then was put at lounge table. Not appropriate for dinner. Waiter got wrong drink order. Was great food, very disappointed with experience.

It was a good experience to be there with my friends. Our server Brian was very friendly and good suggestion he had. The sashimi was cut too thin. Overall great atmosphere I would definitely back sometimes soon!

an amazing dining experience. tapas were incredible, swordfish, heirloom tomatoes, pork belly dungeness crab shu mei were standouts. great service and unique atmosphere.

We selected the chef's tasting for our dinner. The food was excellent at times, but a few of the dishes were in need of an acidic balance. The mushroom gyoza in particular was a real homage to umami, but without any acid to brighten it up, which left it feeling flat and a bit oily. The poke bowl style dish also was crying for a few teaspoons of rice vinegar to take it to the next level.

I don't want to rag on it too much, because the quality was very high and the service was excellent. But for $200, near the top for most options in Philly, I did expect a dining experience where the basics were nailed. For me personally, a good balance of acid to play against the rest of the dish is part of the foundation, and I was disappointed to see that lacking.

Chef’s tasting menu was incredible. Highly recommend the pork gyoza, kobe beef skewers, the sea bass. Great vibe as well. Definitely plan to be back!!!

Such a lovely experience. David our server was charming and gave us the best recommendations. The food was delicious, and ranged from exciting and delicious to yummy and comforting, all beautifully presented. We were on a special date and got the chef tasting. We loved being able to talk quietly while being brought treat after treat. My new favorite spot in Philadelphia :).

Tuesday night my friend Shelley and I went to the Double Knot restaurant for dinner to celebrate her birthday. Since it is one of Michael Schulson’s restaurants, I had high expectations and the food exceeded my hopes. It truly was an experience that dreams are made of. I love tasting things and one thing was better than the next. I loved the heart of palm salad, Dungeness crab Sui Mei, Robatayaki Ribeye Scallion, Robatayaki Eggplant - dreams are made of this, and Crispy Shrimp Tacos. Theses dishes were my personal favorites and I keep thinking about the eggplant - who knew. Double Knot beverage director Miles was so personable, clearly he has a bright future. Lastly while dining we met two of the most charming and affable gentlemen - the president of a hospital and his attorney who even treated us to dinner. Hopefully our paths will cross again.

Really nice bar and excellent cocktails. Food was also good although I prefer the smaller disher over the main dishes. I would only take small dishes next time.

Caydie was our server and was extremely versed in every aspect of the very diversified menu. My daughter and I opted into the Chef's Tasting and were not disappointed. I thought the foods were brought out a tad too fast between tastings and the wine was slow to arrive (we also opted for the wine pairings). Other than being entirely too dark, the food, service and wine selections were all 100% fabulous.

This place is quite unique. The food is great, but not very filling even at their suggested plates. I would suggest getting a few extra. Also, the lighting is horrible! I almost tripped coming downstairs because the whole area is dark. Once my eyes adjusted everything was fine but the first 20 mins I had a difficult time seeing the menu and the restaurant. The bathroom is super dark too. The walls are dark, the toilets are black, and the room is illuminated by candlelight. Good luck finding the seat in the flickering candlelight. Overall, a very cool place! I'll definitely come back with a flashlight.

Loved the food, service spot on, the only discouraging element was the lack of lighting downstairs. Two of our guests were uncomfortable navigating the stairs with an inappropriate lighting level. Bathroom with black tiles on top of low level lighting surely an ADA issue.

It was phenomenal. Place hard to find and exterior very minimalist with tiny sign. Downstairs speakeasy in back corner which you would not find if did not know. Food was exceptional. Healthy small bites, mainly. Good value. Seating cozy and great ambience. Great for vegetarian too. Something for everyone. Unobtrusive and warm attentive service. Highly recommend. Good value.

Our waitress was so knowledgeable and a great resource for the three of us. Every single one of her recommendations was on point. The Seabass was by far my favorite along with the Double Knot Roll. Can't wait to go back!

Very nice place. Relaxed, but chic. We sat at the counter downstairs and got the tasting menu. Food was incredible. Server was really knowledgeable and helpful, but maybe a little too hyped up. Cocktails were also really awesome. Would recommend, would go back. The duck scrapple is nothing like any scrapple you've ever had before. The Lamb skewer is amazing. The price is a little expensive, but it's super worth it if you have money to burn.

The management was unorganized and had poor judgment. We were treated POORLY. We waited 25 minutes for our reservation. Then another party of five came whisking in and was seated immediately. After I asked about our reservation, I was told: "We had to seat that party before you". Huh? The five of us were seated at at small table for 4. Management recognized our being very uncomfortable while we tried to eat our meal and sent over a complementary dish: "a salad of shaved lettuce". After dinner I complained to the manager who gave me lame excuses and didn't offer any thing to us as an apology. I gave Service a Poor for these reasons although our waiter was fine. Not his fault.

Our waiter was so nice and the food was amazing! We will definitely go back to order sushi next time. This time we just went from section to section sharing small plates. The Sea Bass was so buttery delicious!

We had such a great time while on a short trip to Philly. Our waitress was so helped us craft a great tasting menu and we had an impressive sampling of the spread double knot has to offer. The food is incredible and the ambiance is a ton of fun - would recommend to anyone!

Please impose a no saving seat at the bar over happy hour. Not a fair practice these days and unfair for customers willing to pay for Happy Hour drinks plus. Standing near the bar for over half an hour waiting for a stool made me leave and knowing that all the while I was standing during that time nearby her girlfriend was waiting for her friend to appear. Loosing $$ on a saved seat? No

The food was amazing, and the service we received at our table was remarkably good, but unfortunately the host we spoke with upstairs was rude. Passive aggressive and snide to our party of four, even though we ordered a lot of food and finished our meal in less than 1.5 hrs. I'll be back because the food and downstairs servers were so good, but I hope to avoid that host in future.

Dustin our waiter was incredible and very accommodating! He explained the menu really well and helped us make decisions on an expansive menu. The service was incredible and everything was delicious.
