Been here a lot and always had a swell time. Great food and nice atmosphere - BUT can be a little cramped and noisy - yet I keep coming back. We have had great staff - rarely miss a beat.
We felt a bit rushed by the server . The drinks, while creative and interesting, were very small.
The food was excellent as was the presentation.
The worst service in all of Philadelphia. We were met with complete contempt when we entered the restaurant. The bartender who “helped” us had the nastiest attitude. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Go to McDonald’s instead!!!!
Went as part of a graduation celebration. Really enjoyed the food, especially the cheese curds and shrimp tacos. Got complimentary mochi as part of the celebration, great experience as a whole.
We did the tasting menu and it was outstanding. The server was very patient in explaining things to us and we ended with a fantastic meal. Very pleased! You must try the Duck Scrapple Bao Buns - outstanding!
Double knot is one of my favorites! Delicious food! Great Happy Hour Deals! When ordering off the regular menu it gets pricey without you even really noticing- but it's delicious!
The service is never amazing here. Slow to get drinks. Sometimes it feels like our server has left the building. The food is always good though. The atmosphere is cool but unnecessarily dark. I keep coming back but I always wish it was just a little bit better.
Amazing food and service! Wonderful place to celebrate my sons graduation from grad school!
The food was amazing. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was incredible with little noise. The prices were high but well work it. I would definitely go back.
My family and I came here on a Sunday night and were absolutely stunned with how great all the food was. The restaurant is tapas style. We ordered a variety of plates. They recommended 4-6 plates per person, but we ordered 16 plates, which was a perfect amount (we did have a little bit of leftovers though). Incredible ambience, great gem in the middle of a busy neighborhood. I would highly recommend it!!
Always an amazing experience at double knot. The food and the drinks are always on point including the atmosphere.
Our experience was fine, but at the price point fine just is not enough. The rice on our rolls was overly sticky, the bun on the Duck Scrapple was spongy and wet, to the point where one of them was torn and irregular when served. We were served the same piece of sashimi that we didn’t order two times, and the shrimp tacos were overly dressed and again the tortillas were sticky.
Double Knot continues to be my favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. This was my 3rd time dining there, and every time the service is top notch. We were celebrating my friends bachelorette and I wish I had told the restaurant in advance but they rose to the occasion quickly. We got lucky, and got the larger round circular table (tables are very close otherwise), were given a complimentary processo and they were able to accommodate an outside party sending us a celebratory wine bottle rather quickly. Ryan our server was outstanding and provided guidance and recommendations. We did tasting menu and were completely satisfied.
Amazing, between the food, service, and ambience. One of the best dinners I’ve had in philly.
Double Knot is amazing!!!! It never fails to amaze us. The quality of service is always great, and the food is wonderful. It definitely is our number one choice when dining in Philadelphia.
I have been eyeing this place for months! Decided to a take a friend visiting for a weekday and made reservations. The basement has been converted into a restaurant and you would completely forget this fact seeing the decor. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our waiter explained the entire tasting menu and offered us suggestions on what would be filling as the menu is tapas style. We each ordered two apps and two sushi rolls each. It was just right for both of us to leave feeling full but not overwhelmed. Food is excellent, flavorful, fresh and arrived quickly. Perfect place for a date night and close to other bars for after dinner drinks.
It took forever to be seated. It also took up to 25 minutes for the wine to be brought to the table. Otherwise the food and company were great!
Food is very good but the place gets crowded most evenings...lots of people... so definitely needs to be booked in advance.
Had another incredible dinner at Double Knot. My husband and I do the Chef’s Menu every time (making maybe one or two choices), and never regret it.
Just amazing. Every time. The food is unrivaled in the city. The service is impeccable. Ambiance is dark, sultry, and fun. Will be back 100 times.
Sam was awesome and made great suggestions. Everything we ate was delicious.
This is the 3rd time we've been here, and every time has been great. This most reason time was just a date night, but previously it had been with big groups. The food comes out so quickly that it isn't perfect for a date night, because it's all over so quickly. That being said, it's still my favorite restaurant in the city! I just wish the pacing was a little more thoughtful.
I've had 4 tastings so far and each one completely blows away the previous.
Loud. Table are too close to each other.
Great but no dessert or any acknowledgement of my birthday despite writing in open table reservation and friends calling ahead.
This was the highlight of our trip. We did the chef's tasting menu and let them choose which I would highly recommend. It took a while to be seated which was a down note but the staff tried to be incredibly accommodating and were very proactive with updates.
Very good food and good quality sushi, but the pieces were the smallest I’ve seen, and prices do not reflect it
The double Knot is one of best Japanese restaurant .The quality of the food is incredible even if the price are high.I suggest that every one try the koby beef and the lobster,it's really amazing.
The ambiance is a little noisy but the service is wonderful.
Never disappointed. 5th visit? Easily that many more to come...
Excellent dinner. Will definitely be back to try more dishes.
Had sake flight (5)/ and tasting menu. Everything was amazing and especially the whole fish - magically boneless and lightly fried. 😍
We stopped by double knot on a Friday and realized how packed it was. So my girlfriend and I decided to make a reservation and come back.
Once we did, we didn’t know where the host/hostess was until I decided to go in further instead of standing in line with other people.
I was quickly escorted to our table, and was explained thoroughly with the menu and whatnot. Our waitress was very professional and friendly at the same time. Also, the food was amazing! Though it can get pricey with a lot of food, I can confidently say that every single dish was worth the money!
We would definitely come back here for another time, perhaps with another couple or friends.
Great food. Great service. Great ambiance. They made us wait a bit but rewarded us with two free dishes.
The upstairs was too loud, but the downstairs dinner area was comfortable & welcoming. Great food & cocktails, excellent service, reasonable prices for the type of place it is. Would absolutely go back.
The restaurant was great, but the tables are right on top of each other!
The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was outstanding.
Chefs tasting: 5 of the ten were outstanding. The service is great but the kitchen does not comply with request to slow down the ten courses.
