Dinner service Wednesday through Sunday and Sunday brunch.
Great happy hour...food is amazing..service was top notch...only downside was the air didn't seem to be working.
Absolutely amazing food. Our server was very knowledgable about the menu and appreciate his sensitivity to my allergies. The drinks were great. You will pay more here for tacos v. other local gems in the neighborhood, but you can truly taste the quality and uniqueness of the food in each bite. The tamal tots were surprisingly delightful with the haberano crema! I might argue that Dos Urban Cantina has the best tortillas I've ever had-- made fresh in the back and authentic corn and simple--but I bet I could eat these for a meal alone!
Loved it! Food and drinks were wonderful. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend it!!!!
Our latest visit was early on a Sunday night and about half of the mail dishes were already sold out- this made for a ore limited choice of food. Everything was still delicious.
Loved the food and the service was great. I would recommend for a nice and causal date night.
Sunday’s prix fixe 3-course menu is a good value with 3 selections for each category.
Creative Mexican cuisine for many dishes, loved the red mole.
Dos Urban Cantina was perfect for our occasion. Sitting outside was lovely. The waiter was very helpful and attentive. The food was delicious! Highly recommend.
Great food, wonderful recommendations.
Celebrating a belated bday for my sis in law.
We drove in from the north suburbs on a Thursday night - heavy traffic but once we got to the restaurant there was parking! Modern but comfortable interior. We didn’t plan this but made happy hour with $5 margaritas and various appetizers. Perfect! Our entrees-Halibut and carnitas-were creatively and deliciously prepared and plated. Luscious chocolate cake. We will be back.
Excellent upscale Mexican, especially the tamal tots (for the sauce), octopus and carnitas. Cocktails are very good but a tad pricey, whereas the wine list is provides quality for the price (think Rioja).
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and couldn't be happier with this place. Shared several plates and had 2 drinks and 2 beers. Felt the price point was very good! Had a melt-in-your-mouth avocado toast with foie gras to start, followed by a stone crab on pickled cucumbers and then lamb tacos. All delicious. But save room for dessert! We shared the mexican chocolate pavlova that featured a whole raspberry compote on a meringue. Heavenly. We'll be back!
One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the city. Really creative food with authentic Mexican flavor. A fun option to try Mexican food with a twist. This restaurant can compete with some of the good restaurants in Mexico City.
We live out of town but try to get to your restaurant every time we visit. We keep introducing friends HERE to it, and they all love it.
The food was amazing and the margaritas were mind blowing. We will be back.
Sadly service was below our expectations. The dining room was full so we were seated in the bar area. After waiting 10-15 minutes we had to ask the hostess if we could place a drink order. Our server looked very busy trying to manage almost all of the tables in the packed bar area. For a Saturday night they should’ve had more staff to accommodate their paying customers.
Overall food was over salted and just not what we expected from what we thought was a nice restaurant.
Good service and good food. We sat outside but the inside decor was great. I liked how they had big wrap around booths to sit in.
I am singing them a little bit on their ceviche. It was really pico de Gallo with maybe 3 little pieces of fish. I will go back though, not enough to say it’s a bad place.
Everything about this place is the best! The food the staff and the consistency.
Food was fantastic! Happy hour was unbelievably affordable.
Wonderful food and friendly service. Try the mimosa party!
It was the hottest day of the year and the A/C was not working. Other than sweating during our meal, I thought everything was ok.
Great atmosphere and food. Unfortunately we picked a night when the AC fizzled out. So that overshadowed what would have been an excellent evening. They did their best to alleviate the dining room discomfort by bringing in floor fans; but they were no match for the 90 degree heat outside. Would have expected them to offer a free appetizer or round of drinks for those who stuck it out; but the bill came in full. This is where we felt the service fell short.
Went here for my birthday with my sister--also her birthday. The food is always great and inspired. Mexican-inspired, but not Mexican per se. The chef and his wife worked with Rick Bayless. Exceptional food. Great happy hour. Visit!
Unbelievable meal! The flavors are just incredible. I make a stop to Dos whenever I can as the menu always has something new to try.
Make sure you let the waiter pick something for you, my favorite dishes are ones I wouldn't think to try.
Dos is a great find. The food is detailed and delicious. I have been there 5-6 times and have yet to experience anything other than pure delight with my entire experience. The dishes are unique and authentic, well presented and incredibly delightful. I will go back to Dos many more times with friends and family. Highly recommended
This is my third time here. Made plans with an old friend who I had not seen in years, so I wanted to pick a place that wasn’t pretentious. The quality of the food - just ok, nothing to write home about. I was mostly annoyed by the server. She kept coming to our table every 5 mins to check in on us. Although at first I appreciated it, after awhile it got annoying!! It felt like she was rushing us or needed the table which I don’t understand because we ordered a lot of food!! Our bill for 2 people with 2 drinks each was $140+, we tipped 20% out of courtesy, but definitely not going back and I don’t recommend at all.
Always refreshing and exceptional.
Nice food with good service and nice place too:-). Really enjoy our dinner there. Will come again.
Went for father's day brunch - great flavors, nice variety, excellent guacamole. Nice airy quiche with chorizo.
While not your traditional Mexican atmosphere, there is no mistaking the Mexican tone of the décor. Warm, inviting. Looking to go back for a regular brunch.
It is a treat every time we go to DUC!
We love the welcoming environment & the tasty food!
Jennifer, Brian adn the DUC team are the BEST!!

Terrific, menu a little sparse but great food and cocktails. Service was perfect
Delicious food, great service, lovely decor.
Awesome brunch, beautiful day on the patio and bottomless mimosa! Glad it is so close!
Great Salmon tartare. Definitely not a “traditional” Mexican menu. Left something to be desired, but overall a good place to try.
Birthday celebration
Visually beautiful restaurant/bar area and cool atmosphere. Perfect summer date night spot - open windows and outdoor seating. Excellent service, delicious drinks and cocktails, great music.
Amazing!! Great ambiance and service on a hot day
