First opening doors in late 2015 in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood, Dos is a partnership between husband and wife team, Chef Brian Enyart (14-year veteran of Frontera Grill/Topolobampo) and Pastry Chef Jennifer Jones Enyart (Charlie Trotter’s, Topolobampo).

Inspired by the boldness and bounty of Mexico, the menu is an original interpretation of Mexican cuisine that embraces contemporary flavors and ingredients.

Since opening, the restaurant has been named one of Chicago Magazine’s Top 5 “Best New Restaurants” and a recipient of The Michelin Guide’s 2017 Bib Gourmand. Dos has received a multitude of recognitions from the Chicago Tribune, including the 2017 Reader’s Choice Award winner for Best Happy Hour, 2017 Critic’s Choice Award winner for Pastry Chef of Year, as well as being hailed as “the most important Mexican restaurant since Topolobampo” by Phil Vettel.

Absolutely amazing food. Our server was very knowledgable about the menu and appreciate his sensitivity to my allergies. The drinks were great. You will pay more here for tacos v. other local gems in the neighborhood, but you can truly taste the quality and uniqueness of the food in each bite. The tamal tots were surprisingly delightful with the haberano crema! I might argue that Dos Urban Cantina has the best tortillas I've ever had-- made fresh in the back and authentic corn and simple--but I bet I could eat these for a meal alone!

Our latest visit was early on a Sunday night and about half of the mail dishes were already sold out- this made for a ore limited choice of food. Everything was still delicious.

Sunday’s prix fixe 3-course menu is a good value with 3 selections for each category. Creative Mexican cuisine for many dishes, loved the red mole.

We drove in from the north suburbs on a Thursday night - heavy traffic but once we got to the restaurant there was parking! Modern but comfortable interior. We didn’t plan this but made happy hour with $5 margaritas and various appetizers. Perfect! Our entrees-Halibut and carnitas-were creatively and deliciously prepared and plated. Luscious chocolate cake. We will be back.
