Traveling in NYC with family. Very good food at inflated NYC prices.
I miss the old Mexican French toast recipe
The food was truly delicious, the drinks were fantastic and the service was top notch.
1st time @ times square location. Loved it. Good selections. Great background music.
Great brunch for a great price. Kid friendly, go to place...solid, affordable food and good service at a kid friendly place.
Given the location of Times Square, was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and consistent food quality!
Amazing food and value for money, a huge jug of sangria for $35 and portions were great for food. Lovely atmosphere and servers.
Always have a good experience. Easy to book on Open Table, great food, friendly staff.
Two words...Bacon Guac! Hands down the best I've ever tasted. The service was on point, even during shift change which is super rare. I would recommend dinner before a show here to anyone who asks!
So efficient, friendly ,thoughtful service! And the staff is fun! Live their food.
I have been dining at Dos Caminos since it opened on Park Avenue in the 90's. Unfortunately they have gone way down hill. I ordered the Salmon (which I always order) and it came in a watery bed of mush - I know its not supposed to be that way. The guacamole appeared to me pre-made not necessarily fresh; I asked for spicy and they put hot sauce on the top instead of using more hot peppers. Totally unacceptable. Sorry to see this!
Service was terrific. Food was delicious.
Only thing good about our visit was the margarita.
Very good experience ! Gilberto was an excellent waiter. Food was very good.
Unbelievably inattentive and bad service. Totally different from when we went there just a week prior
This place is well situated for activities in Times Square or pre-theater Broadway shows, but ultimately it is
over priced underwhelming Mexican food. My chicken tacos fell apart when I tried to pick them up, and the chicken was relatively tasteless. Other meals seemed similar. The restaurant is a big (cavernous) place, which was nice, as our party of 8 was able to sit together. Best part of the meal was the guacamole.
Had dinner with our daughter and five of her friends to celebrate her birthday and the entire experience was a huge success! Great service provided by hostess, servers and everyone else we came in contact with. Will definitely be back at this location!!
We were welcomed by friendly staff. They had our table ready and were accommodating! They had a high top but we did not feel comfortable sitting out children there. So they right away gave us a table. The waiter was very friendly and was VERY busy but never kept us waiting. The food was delicious, great views, and it was loud so definitely kid friendly. We will definitely be back!
Great guacamole, food was really good and server was outstanding. Still one of my favorite places for Mexican in NYC.
Service was absolutely terrible. Waited in line with 8 other people for a hostess to seat us - there were plenty of tables, the hostess was no where to be found. We saw our waiter twice - once to take our order, and once to bring the check. Had to ask the food runners for water - twice. My daughter had to go to the bar to ask for a lime for her fish tacos. And I had to take silverware from the table next to us because they didn’t bring us new sets after our apps were cleared. Everyone was super nice, but totally clueless when it came to actually servicing the customers.
Service was bad, this restaurant used to be much better and now just another chain
Bland food. Cavernous restaurant. Overpriced
Service was bad. Food was cold and not great. Disappointing experience.
Came here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon and was very pleased. Usually most restaurants won’t seat you until the entire party was there but the early birds were able to sit and start our bottomless brunch drinks. Melissa did a great job of keeping the drinks coming for our Sunday Funday. The only disappointment is they ran out of turkey bacon and bread pudding French toast that my friend ordered. She doesn’t eat beef or pork and there were no other meat options for her. They compensated by sending out a bowl of beans and rice on the house. Overall it was a great experience. We were not rushed to leave because of the brunch ending at 4 pm. They let us move at our own pace and at the end Melissa brought us some churros for dessert! Thank you again Dos Caminos I will be back!
I actually prefer the other Dos Caminos locations, but this is a good place for a great deal at brunch in the Times Square area. Although our server was pleasant, she neglected to ask how I wanted my eggs for my steak & eggs entrée (and MY fault, I neglected to say), but I was totally shocked when she told me that they do NOT refill coffee when I asked for another cup!!!! NEVER had this experience before at any Landry's restaurant, including Dos Caminos. REALLY?!
Our family came to Times Square and didn’t want to eat at traditional chain establishments. We wanted to dine at restaurants we wouldn’t normally have the chance to. From the overall ambiance to the delicious meals, Dos Caminos did not leave us disappointed. This is a place I would Highly recommend to friends and family visiting midtown Manhattan!
Restaurant was packed but our reservation was quickly honored and we received excellent service and food.
Only hitch was one diner was gluten-free and there were not many options. The Pork belly tacos he chose they happened to be out of, so he was disappointed.
Food was excellent—so, so good. Host area is in the back of the restaurant. The upstairs seems a bit louder than downstairs. If looking for a more quiet / intimate setting, request downstairs. Again, Food was excellent and we loved every bite of it! The fresh made Guacamole was amazing, as always—Go medium for guac heat. You won’t go wrong by eating here. Cost is good for the quality and location. Overall, a very good experience.
There is very hot flavor on the area , I was coughing all night ,didn’t enjoy much
Also my mom suffered from the hot smell according to your manager from the fajitas
Green rice very spicy
Phenomenal margaritas. Great guacamole. Our waitress was very helpful in walking us through the menu. The only downside is that we are in the basement of a hotel. But other than that...I’d definitely go back.
We enjoy coming back everytime we are in nyc
This was my third time here. I recommended it to my friends because the food is great and I enjoy the downstairs lounge. Although I sat at a table this visit I enjoyed it just as much. The food is the best Mexican food I’ve had.
Really good Mexican type of food. Make sure to get your reservations since it is right on Times Square. Service was very quick, not exactly friendly or intuitive. In and out within an hour. Nice place to people watch.
The food and service are Dos Caminos never fails! Start off with the Bacon Guacamole!
Given the location (right at Times Square), the food, service, and price are all surprisingly good. The margaritas are fresh and tasty. The guacamole is fresh (I saw a worker scooping out avocados as we walked to our table) and good; not too spicey. The main courses are also good but I miss a good smothered burrito or chimichanga from the menu. If you're in the neighborhood and have a hankering for Mexican food, this is a good place to drop by.
The lady at the front door was very rude. We considered not even going down stairs to our table due to the attitude we were greeted with
We were sat and served drinks immediately. Then, we were forgotten about. Food was very good and the restaurant completely took responsibility for their mistake and gave us the whole meal for free.
Having dined at Dos Caminos for many years in later 2000s, we were completely appalled at the non-existent and painfully slow service, the low quality of the food and the mediocre atmosphere. This location was a huge disappointment and we would never return again. We waited one hour for our food after ordering despite the restaurant being sparsely occupied when we placed our order. We left ourselves plenty of time to make our theater show and ended up rushing to the theater two blocks away. We had to ask for the check as the food was finally served. The waiter never came by with updates on our food despite our request for a manager or our waiter from other staff members. My husband ordered vegetable fajitas and they charged him for chicken. When questioned they said it wasn’t in the system so they just charge chicken. $30 for vegetable fajitas that were subpar was unjustified. We will never go back ever! Thanks for ruining our great memories of the delicious meals and fun times we had in your other locations. We won’t be back!
Just bad service
