We were headed to a show. The server was great, made sure we had our drinks, lunch, and bill ready to go with plenty of time.
Our waiter, Frankie, was the best part of our evening. Despite being extremely busy, he was attentive, knowledgable about menu items and friendly.
Quesadilla was bland and cold. Tacos were soggy.
The music was loud, so everyone had to practically yell to be heard.
I've enjoyed Dos Caminos other locations, so this was a disappointment.
Our group had a great time at Dos Caminos. Food and service was wonderful.
Great ambiance and wonderful service.
Don’t miss the nachos with various salsas. Yummy!
We went to this restaurant because it was near the theater. The food was good. Our waitress warned us about the spiciness of the dishes when one of us remarked that she didn’t want spicy food. The service was attentive but not intrusive. It did get a little noisy when the room filled but there was plenty is distance between tables.
Very nice experience before catching Broadway show. Prices are reasonable considering their location. Food was good and filling.
It was pretty good and fairly nicely prices for Times Square. If this wasn't times sq yes it would be overly priced. The only issue was as we waited for our table by the hostess stand a waitress walked by with dishes and dropped one that had a bowl of salsa on it. It hit the ground and splashed all over one of our guests pants. The staff could have cared less and wouldn't even acknowledge it!
Very nice atmosphere. Food was delicious and service was superb. Price was very reasonable.
Good food in big portions. Good service in a great ambiance.
We sat downstairs and it was comfy and not very noisy. Great nachos to share as appetizer and we liked both the quesadillas and tacos. Worth a visit!
If you love Mexican food you’ll love this place it’s right there where the ball drop we were able to see it staff was very friendly and the food was excellent
New Year’s Eve at the heart of time square. Amazing place with exquisite food and very friendly staff.
Thank you for the experience !
We came for NYE. The food and service was outstanding.
Food was absolutely amazing! Very traditional taste with a modern kick!
shady behavior by the waiter writing notes on the bill suggesting an additional full tip should be included when an 18% gratuity is already included. management should review printed tabs to see this practice, which makes the establishment look predatory and reflects poorly on management
The service and food were delicious! We were seated immediately and our waitress was very good. We were on a time schedule to see Hamilton and were in and out in less than an hour. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Very nice place. Probably walked by many, many times but never noticed it. Really loved the decor and the food was very. Just a tad expensive considering the portions were quite small. Would eat there again.
We stayed next door at the hotel and decided to eat lunch here one day. We were seated at a high top table and told no low tables were available even though we had a reservation. Service was slow and overall not very friendly. Our food was just ok and we regretted choosing this place.
The ambience is good and the attention was ok. That night the food was salty and dry, and the margaritas were a bit strong, which is a pity for mexican food. Overall a slightly bad experience, especially preceding a theater play.
Basic change. Very little ambiance and dark and a bit run down but food was OK; overpriced but that is Times Square.
Queso fundido and margaritas were amazing. Totally try the birria tacos. They are awesome. Our waiter was fantastic. Fun spot!
We had been several times to the Soho location. We always had had a good experience down there so we decided to take the family to the Times Square location as it was close. This was our first time at the Times Square property. The quality and presentation of the food was marginal at best - definitely more “Tex-Mex” and not authentic Mexican dishes. Definitely way way way overpriced for the type of food that it is - even considering the “NYC premium”. I mean, $20 for a half portion of quesadillas?
The service, however, was abismal. We were a party of seven and they definitely thought that since they had an 18% gratuity built in, they could provide lousy service. We had to constantly flag the server down to request basic things like water refills, utensils that were never originally provided, forgotten dishes and items. We got the “don’t make eye contact” from the server constantly. When we asked other servers for anything, their response would be “I’ll let your server know” instead of helping themselves- which would, of course, lead to more NOTHING. It took about 20 minutes to get the check after we had started our “locate the server” campaign. The restaurant was maybe at 50% capacity.
We’ll never go back to this franchise. I would consider this a hard pass.
Our first visit in the US in two years and our reservation at Gallagher’s was the only thin we had planned. It was perfect in every way from the food to the attentive staff. Amazing and so worth it. Stay safe guys and we will see you again and hopefully sooner
Everything was perfect. The surf and turf tacos were awesome.
The service was rude and slow. The food was very basic and expensive, even for New York City. There are many other, more authentic options in the city. We arrived for our 11:30 a.m. reservation at 11:23 a.m. and the hostess said that if she seated us, she could only give us the "breakfast menu." We asked if we could wait, and she rudely replied that we could "walk around TImes Square and return at our reservation time." We returned at 11:30 to an empty restaurant. The same hostess told two families in front of us that they were "fully booked" and that there was a 15 minute wait. We went downstairs and were the first party seated in the dining room. Service was VERY SLOW and it took forever to get anything, food, refills. The quality of the food was very basic. (enchiladas, chicken tacos, guacamole) Even though the dining room was empty, they squeezed a party of 17 practically on top of us. The poor party of 17 had one side in a banquette with only one entrance and WAY too many people in the space. The hostess topped it off with a chair on the end of the already crowded table. We waited for everything...nothing was fast. And the restaurant was maybe 20% full when we left an hour and a half later. Not fully staffed is a better explanation, than "fully booked." I would not return or recommend.
Food was excellent. Coffee machine was sadly broken which is hard for brunch.
great as always. food is fresh, and wait staff was awesome.
The atmosphere is very nice, and the place clean. The food was very fresh with a lot of options. The con was NYC prices and portions that left us still hungry after lunch. I’d eat there again but either spend even more for an appetizer or have a snack first
I always love Dos Caminos! The food and drinks are always consistently good and the ambiance is awesome! This is such a fun spot to bring a large group or just to go with a friend or two for dinner.
We went for a birthday and the food wasn’t good and the staff was not very nice.
Everything was very good and it was a fun time but shots were very expensive as they did not have the shot we asked for but gave a recommendation to a pricy shot above the price range we previously expected and we’d surprised when the bill came. It was overall a great experience. They were very understanding when they couldn’t find our reservation and still ensured that we had a seat. Definitely recommend booking more then a day in advance it seemed that they assigned table to everyone that has a reservation in way advance. Which is good for organization but not go for less then 24- hour reservation. Had a great time as it was a fun environment. Definitely would come back but we will be more mindful of the drink prices instead of saying, “it’s ok you don’t have it but yeah that’s fine”. Definitely lesson learned that the recommendation of a similar shot that is around the same price range is not the cause since they will suggest the more expensive shot.
The food is pretty good though probably not excellent, and our waitress was very attentive. But the loud awful awful music destroyed dinner. PLEASE acquire some musical taste....and lower the volume, we want to walk out with our ears.
I had to wait at least 10 to 15 minutes before anyone brought me a Menu or even acknowledged my presence at the Table. I brought it to the attention of the Manager and then the Server finally waited on me. I orderd the Dos Enchiladas and it was good but due to the lack of attentiveness I will not go back when I am in New York City. It was just average!
Good was good, service was good
A nice little oasis in the middle of Times Square craziness !
The frozen margaritas are exceptional. The guacamole and chips was lovely, the skirt steak tacos not so much.
Great food and drink! Very convenient to Richard Rodgers theater too!
Very poor experience! Food was terrible.
Portions were rather small. Meat, Guac…were tasteless…
Restaurant closes at 10pm (on Times Square really????)
I was sick all night due to food…
Food was average. The edges of the soft taco tortilla came out so hard that the edges were not edible. It is like it was sitting in the oven or the heater for too long. Even taking that out of the picture, the flavor of the meats were mostly too salty.
Have eaten at the Third Avenue location several times and has been amazing. the food here just did not have the same freshness and flavor as experienced before.
Went to a broadway show and then had dinner reservations at Dos Caminos-TS. The service was great, no wait time when we got there at the reservation time. We loved the unique drinks and food was great. We will definitely be returning.
