Dos Caminos - Times Square
Book your next event with us
Love that you have new menu options.
Rice was very hard
Your servers seems overwhelmed and understaffed for a sat night
Yes, with a caveat.
Too loud! The music was at a 10 in volume and it should be around a 5 or 6 in my view, to allow for conversation (at least at the 5:30 seating). I'm 66 years old, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.
The food was excellent and the service was very good.
I loved the family friendly atmosphere.
The beef short ribs were kinda tough and chewy. But the service, drinks, guac n salsa, etc good.
Delish cauliflower tacos. And the guacamole is outrageous. We were late and they held our reservation. So nice. Can't wait to go back.
13th Birthday celebration for my daughter.
Fabulous guacamole!! The service was very friendly. Great view of Times Square from upstairs bar.
MY SALAD WAS DISAPPOINTING--I HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES AND THE WAITER DID NOT BRING ME THE RIGHT DRESSING--HE BROUGHT ME STRAIGHT VINEGAR WHICH I DOUSED MY SALAD WITH ASSUMING IT WAS THE DRESSING I WANTED. OF COURSE IT WAS NOT EDIBLE SO I ASKED FOR THE DRESSING THE SALAD WAS SUPPOSE TO COME WITH AND WAS TOLD IT HAD EGG SO THE KITCHEN THOUGHT I WOULD BE ALLERGIC [ I AM ALLERGIC TO POULTRY, NOT EGG] . THIS WAS AN HONEST, CONCERNED MISTAKE BUT I SHOULD HAVE BEEN ASKED. AND CERTAINLY SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN BROUGHT STRAIGHT VINEGAR WITHOUT EXPLANATION. I HAD TO ASK FOR STRAIGHT OIL. I SHOULD HAVE BEEN OFFERED SOME 'REAL' DRESSING ALTERNATIVE.
Delicious, lively experience overlooking Times Square! Dos Caminos NEVER disappoints!! Get the guac....ALWAYS!
It was just ok, the place is very busy, naturally. The waitress doesn't write down the orders, so of course, one of our dishes was wrong. So the rest of us had to eat slowly until the correct dish was received (so as not to be rude), it took about 15 minutes for a Quesadilla, but whatever, stuff happens I guess. Also, be advised that even though we had reservations, we were seated in the basement. Maybe next time, I will specify the first floor dining room, so you can see the sights of Times Square through the window.
We enjoyed a fabulous and festive meal from the street food menu, and finished it with churros. Enrique and Jordon helped us pick a terrific menu that thrilled our vegetarian grand daughter. Starting with guac and mexican street corn, we moved on to watermelon salad, cauliflower tacos, queso fundido and the flatbread (minus the chorizo). It was fun and delicious,; a memorable feast.
Waiter didn’t bring an order - he must not have placed it. And questioned when he was told a drink was made wrong.
I’m from Texas, so I am kinda picky about my Mexican. And here you have a chain in the middle of Times Square. I was not expecting much. But omg, Dos Caminos was outstanding!! Both the Original and Grilled Grapefruit margaritas were delicious! If you like spicy, get the guacamole spicy. We asked for medium, and while the flavor was really good, I could have gone spicy for sure. Get the steak & shrimp enchiladas, people. Ridiculously good!! Others had mole sauce, skillet chimichanga and shrimp quesadilla. Bigger portions than you’d think!!
Brunch menu on a Saturday morning until 4pm? Was looking forward to fajitas... guess I’ll never go again for lunch. Booooooo
We were visiting from the UK and decided on this restaurant having researched where we could eat that will cater to multiple food allergies..Dos Caminos lived up to expectations and even exceeded it. It made such a difference that rattling off 6 food allergies didn’t phase them and filled us with confidence that they knew what they were doing. Ryan, our server, was amazing. We can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough
Awesome food, great service. Loud-but we knew that going in.
Took clients to lunch. The service was slow, but servers were standing 15-20 ft from us. We asked for recommendations on the menu, and the server said he doesn't usually work the lunch shift, so he wasn't sure what to recommend. Felt like the service team wasn't sure who was assigned to our table. I liked the table off to the side, and the food was really good. I will give it another chance, and just hope for a better experience.
Spotty service, small portion, expensive drinks.
The food was excellent and service was outstanding.
Our server Juan was amazing! Made sure we were always okay, sweet, complementary rice and beans and champagne! He made sure we were taken care of. It was our first time there. We missed our reservation at another restaurant and decided to come here as a last resort for date night and let me tell you DATE NIGHT SAVED! Definitely a new favorite and a pleasant surprise to us. Hope we get Juan the next time we go in. Juan if you ever read this you rock!
Great service, many tourists due to location but great choice for pre theater dining.
Very good food and service. Bathrooms area was dirty and needs more frequent cleaning.
Food used to be more authentic. Now it tastes like all the imitations of Mexican food. Heavy and overly condimented for no reason
We sat upstairs on a cool evening and it was FREEZING at the table. Not sure where the cold air was coming from, but it made for an uncomfortable dinner. Food is good and prices moderate. Service good. Not sure I will return until warmer weather comes back.
The happy hour specials are great. The appetizers are $6 each and 2 can easily fill you up. The downstairs bar has comfy sofa seating. Great place to grab a quick bite before heading to a Broadway show.
Unfortunately the food at this Dos Caminos location was terrible. The pork and chicken were dry and overcooked and flavorless. We complained to the waiter and manager and they offered us a free dessert which we didn't have time to eat since we were running to a show, but then left all the items on the bill!
The food was good, but I have had better. Nothing spectacular.
Very ordinary - felt too much like a chain restaurant, it was nothing special.
Dos Caminos is a go-to for my wife and me when we hit the city for a show or a concert. The staff is attentive and engaging; the food is interesting and delicious; the drinks are cold and refreshing. We've been many times and will continue to return for their excellent take on Mexican food.
Popular venue in Times Square. Crowded and noisy. Helpful service.
Had an early lunch to beat the New York crowd. Service and food was excellent.. definitely recommend it.
Ryan provided amazing service. We had less than two hours since we had a show at 8 pm, so he knew that time was important for us. He suggested the food and provided us with a time frame for the food to be ready.
Food was fantastic and service was wonderful. Will definitely return!
Excellent experience as always. Our server Brenna was fantastic! We were a large party of 9 and received our orders promptly, with timely apps and drinks. Only complaint this time was the Machado Breakfast Tacos were much spicier than usual. Otherwise, highly recommended!
The Guacamole was not even as good as store bought, it was tasteless and inauthentic at best. The food arrived barely warm, had to be sent back to be re-heated. In general, the food had a lot of potential, the place was unable to properly execute. It was a disappointing meal. I would not go back to Dos Caminos in Times Square, I do think others around the city know how to provide tasty food.
Nice meal. Definitely better than my last visit. Will be back next week
A good mex-mex meal. Generous portions but not overwhelming.
Service was good....food came out cold both mine and my wife...it was her birthday and we had only guac and chips....manager took care of the bill but overall experience was not good....
Love the staff at this Dos Caminos location. We try to have dinner there when we are in the area as they are attentive and friendly each time we visit.
Reservation went great... walked right in... told waiter we had to make it to a show.... he kept us paced perfectly! The food was exemplary!! Margaritas were slamming!! Great time great food
