Delicious food and hospitable service! Many thanks.
Food was fine but 20 minute wait for water, another 20 for basic drinks. It took us over an hour being seated to just order our mains
Absolutely horrible food!
Always have the BEST waiters and waitresses here!
Always enjoy the food and atmosphere. Great drinks too!
Horrible experience and I will never return to this restaurant. Everything was going well up until we received our appetizers. The waitress by the name of ASHLEY came to us to let us know that our main course was on the way. Once we received our food we didn't see her the rest of our stay. Not once did she come back to ask us was everything okay or did we like another beverage with our meal. We was able to eat our entire meal and also head to the restroom and still have yet to ask us if everything was okay after my husband tried to get her attention more than once. After speaking with the manager and reporting this person he rest assured that this issue would be taken care of. But I definitely wouldn't spend another penny in this place after spending over $120 to be treated like crap!
Food was great & service!
I made a reservation for Dos Caminos to end a family out with family that hasn’t been to the city or tried Mexican food. My family was surprised we didn’t have to wait long to be seated lol. That’s what happens when you make reservations and plan a head. We were a group of 7 and there were actually two other larger groups ahead of us. This slowed down service a little but the wait staff were friendly and we understood. I think we only really noticed because we were starving but it wasn’t unbearable. The drinks were well made and the food was amazing. I had the Baja surf and turf taco with the skillet poblano cornbread and finished with a tropical storm (I think that was the name of the drink). Could have done without the salt on the rim but I know it pairs well with tequila. The drink was smooth. Nice size shrimp for the taco and very wet seasoned. It had just enough kick to keep me coming back for more. I shared the cornbread with the table and we fell in love with the sweetness. Loved the ambiance and would definitely eat back here again. Allen was a greater waiter. I believe that’s what his name was. I suck with naming people but I can name good food lol
We didn’t hear much from our waitress but our host was ON IT! He made us feel great and took care of everything!
Good vibes, excellent server.
Like always a great experience. The best Mexican Food in NY. They expanded their menu and it’s phenomenal.
Expensive but yummy food-- always a better spot but Dos Caminos has its own unique ambiance which is very fun energetic and great for a lunch date or groups.
Would have given no stars if possible. Wow where to begin
- food is pretty mediocre to bad. The drinks were HORRIBLE even things you expect to be easy like margaritas and sangria. Clearly the bartender has no experience - I ordered an aperol spritz and got a glass of just aperol (never had this happen in my life). After sending it back, I asked for sangria, because at this point, explaining how to make an aperol spritz seemed beyond their capabilities. To my surprise, the sangria that they feature on their menu was equally awful. It tasted like white wine on ice that they added soda water too. There was zero fruit and it didn’t taste like sangria so I paid for a drink that I only took a sip of because it was completely undrinkable. My table mates said the margaritas were equally undrinkable, like how hard is it to make a marg or sangria well??
Otherwise guacamole was pretty good, that was the only decent thing about it. Honestly have no idea how dos caminos is still open. Also the server were overworked - there was only 1 guy waiting on tables in our entire section. What a waste of time and money.
Nice casual atmosphere and excellent food, with good value for the money. Would happily go back again.
We ate at the Dos Caminos in Meatpacking a few weeks ago and it was delicious, so we came to this one while we were in Soho. Waitress never paid attention to us, food took forever, entrees were totally different from last time (and not in a good way), my son’s dish was soggy. Staff was hanging behind the bar the whole time. Won’t go back. I realize reviewers leave reviews only for the extremes, but this was super bad.
The food was very delicious but took forever to come out and unfortunately they forgot a part of our order. The waiters were hard to find and came over only when called.
The hostess told us we couldn’t get a table without a reservation and didn’t offer to make one. We understood, and was able to make a reservation as soon as she said that, via OpenTable. She should have offered to create a reservation and told us the potential wait time. She then proceeded to have her back turned to us for over 20 minutes until one of her colleagues came over to attend us. She was incredibly rude.
The food was excellent and the waiter was doing an impressive job juggling all of their tables.
Wonderful experience! We love Dos Caminos and have never been to this location. It was pretty, great atmosphere and delicious food. We waited a little while for the check after we ate but it was great overall! Definitely would recommend!
Fun, festive restaurant with good food and great drinks. The service was excellent
We have been going to Dos Caminos for years as a family because it is kid friendly, but I think we may be outgrowing it. The drinks were good, guacamole is great and tacos were good but not exceptional. The server was distracted. I asked him for things over and over and he never brought them (a side of jalapeños, for instance.) It wasn’t even crowded. The bathroom was a mess and it wasn’t even a weekend...no soap, no toilet paper and paper towels all over the floor.
Great service. Very attentive and pleasant. Will return
Great location for lunch ! Had a margarita and fish tacos which were very nice. The staff are super friendly and helpful.
DO. NOT. GO. HERE
Delicious drinks (the Grilled Grapefruit margarita is great) and decent food, but iffy service and overpriced.
Me and my love really enjoyed the experience. We were tucked away in a quiet corner for brunch. Good food. Good drinks. Good vibes. Service was awesome; waiter gave his recommendations on drinks and that was super helpful for us. Perfect way to start a Saturday.
A little overpriced for what it offers.
Saturday night. They rushed us (and other diners) to pay our $200 plus bill to leave well before the posted closing time, even though we were still working on our main course. According to the server (who quoted the manager) “we are closing early because it's a slow night.” Never offered dessert or coffee. Food was ok, but not worth being stressed by staff and management. Avoid.
Awesome restaurant in SoHo for a large group!
Excellent, as always!
The food and service were great! Excellent drinks! No complaints! It was a little loud and a little expensive, but that was to be expected due to its location. I would definitely return for another meal!
Great ambiance, great service. Food is ok. The drinks were watered down. I had two frozen margaritas and felt nothing. My other friends thought the same. So I wouldn't recommend those $16+ drinks for nothing.
I’ve been here years ago and from what I remembered the food was pretty decent but today we We ordered small plates the nachos with chicken we didn’t like well really the chicken on top the flor was off and I asked for guacamole and they told me it already comes with avocado on top but it was chucks totally not the same added flavor as guacamole would have had … I then ordered sweet plantains which those were pretty good … no drinks for us just water because we were so disappointed but the nachos it was a turn off … we then asked to sit outside and instead of offering the patio or ask us our options the waiter offered us to sit outside the restaurant for the on street set up they have … I just felt that was rude we should have options especially when I made a reservation and was specificity that on my reservation which they didn’t check … on top of that the “patio” has about 12 open tables so never saw the issue
It’s been close to two years since the last time I went to Dos Caminos. I used to love it.
The quality of the frozen margaritas is not the same.
Service was just okay. Main server was great. But we didn’t get plates, utensils, water until we had to beg for it.
Drinks arrived late.
Managers should care about those details.
Improve guys. Improve.
Good frozen margaritas
The front host was very personable and enthusiastic about a birthday we were celebrating. We were provided a tequila shot on the house to celebrate along with a champagne flute of frozen margarita with a candle in it to blow out for the birthday girl, which made our dinner really special and detail oriented. Food and margaritas were some of the best we’ve had and service was great. The salsa music was a bit loud but we didn’t mind as it seemed to keep the party going and the ambiance upbeat. We kept saying how we need to come back again soon!
The price for the size of the items is crazy! Not worth it at all, so many better non-chain spots throughout the city!
A little disappointed. I ordered the fajitas with steak and chicken. Steak was very tough. Service was slow. At one point I had to get up and ask for sour cream because they didn't bring any. Maybe short-staffed?
We went here to celebrate my friend’s birthday. The food and drinks were great, my only problem was that they didn’t grant my request in the reservation to be seated outside. Luckily the inside wasn’t too crowded but it was a little disappointing that we had to be inside on a beautiful day. Overall a good experience and I hope to return in the future when it’s a bit less packed in the patio area.
Very loud restaurant. Food used to be good at this NYC staple now very basic (over cooked and over sauced food). Expensive for what it is.
The restaurant is overpriced overpriced tacos small portions our tab was $150 for tacos !!!! The mango mojitos was yummy but never again will we visit !
