Our waitress was great and accommodated our requests.
Been here a few times already. I still enjoy it. Happy hour is always fun. Drinks are delicious. Food is great
Value was fair at best - the so-called large guacamole is deceptively small.
Entrees took a good while to arrive, probably about 30 minutes. My dish, Oaxacan Shrimp Quesadilla, was a mess of sauce and cheese and sautéed vegetables. Not a great texture. The taste was ok, but soon it became too much.
Mixed drinks were probably the best part.
Fresh. Delicious. Fast.
One of my favorite places.
This is one of our favorite restaurants. We go here every time we visit the city ... at least 30 times. Food was great, atmosphere great... our service this time was sub par... I was surprised as this is a rare occurrence at this restaurant .
Loved the food. The waitress was fantastic at dealing with our requests for allergy information and ensuring the food was free of the allergens.
always a good experience here! great food and service.
We have eaten here in the past with our child with food allergies. They are generally very accommodating, this time we did not have a good experience. Both the server and whomever he was working with in the kitchen seemed put off by the allergies and “didn’t know” what was in most of their menu items. They served my eleven year old a plate of burnt, dry, and unseasoned chicken with some peppers. The server was also extremely slow. We will not be returning to this location.
Great environment to chat over guacamole, sangria and some good food. My friends and I always gather here!
I was disappointed by the change in the brunch menu. I was looking forward to a chorizos dish but I was thwarted.
The service remained welcoming and I enjoyed the huevos rancheros, only only dish that appealed to me in the brunch selection.
Food was great, service was good but music was way too loud. Everyone in place seemed to be yelling over the music making it even louder. Very difficult too have a conversation even at a small 4 top. Great food and ambiance just take the music down 2 notches
Usually good food here, just off tonight on food and service. Never usually the case
Have been to other dos Caminos locations multiple times and always enjoyed the experience. Came here with a bunch of friends who were visiting NYC because of my past experiences. Very disappointed. Food was tasteless, no salt, no spice, nothing. This was quite surprising as the past few times it was quite good. However, Drinks were good as always. Everyone’s food came out at different times. Multiple sides were forgotten and had to be asked for more than once. Drinks also came at different times when ordered together. Only redeeming thing was that I am gluten free and the waiter was knowledgeable and I did not get sick. Really wished I picked somewhere else to take my friends to show them some good NYC food.
I have a severe peanut allergy and I have never been to a Mexican restaurant that put a peanut ingredient in their enchilada sauce. I only asked because there were sesame seeds in the sauce when it came out, otherwise I would have ended up in the hospital. I didn’t see anywhere on the menu that some products include peanut ingredients.
It took us over 30 minutes to get our first drink for a bottomless brunch. The service was the worst I have experienced in the city.
Still good after all these years, they still have great service and food.
Friendly, attentive staff, food was fresh and delicious!
Food is decent, ambiance is good, fun for after work or a date or night out with friends
I’ve been to other locations that are fine but this Dos caminos is attrocious. From the start, our waiter was rude and condescending. The wine list is minimal. The guacamole was decent but was $28(!!!!!!) for 2 avocados. We got quesadillas and enchiladas (pretty basic) and I’ve never tasted anything so horrible at a Mexican restaurant. The enchiladas had no cheese and the quesadillas were drenched in BBQ sauce. When we complained, the waiter got the Manager who was extremely unhelpful. She took 15% off the bill, which ended up not being equivalent to even 1 of our meals, and ALL 3 of us didn’t eat our meals. We ended paying about $50 for 1 drink each and a split order of guacamole with 2 avocados. After being shooed out, we went across the street to Hillstone and actually ordered an edible meal and were treated with respect by the waitstaff. My friends and I are not cheap but the price we paid for an awful experience and inedible meal is unacceptable. Don’t waste your time here - plenty of other good restaurants right near by such as Hillstone and Sarabeth’s!
Food OK not fine dining. Very expensive for what it was. Bottle of wine $42 for cheap plonk.
Don't know what was going on, but the service was terrible. We had empty water glasses for 20 mins. No one ever came by. Very disappointing.
No chips and salsa for free like other locations
Our server definitely rushed us when we still had over 30minutes left when we tried telling him we started at 1pm-reservations were at 1pm he was a bit rude about it. Food was okay. Will not be recommending this place.
Food was excellent and fresh tasting.
Overall fun bustling place, but very noisy.
Smoky Bacon Quac was the best ever. Also generous portions
On the recommendation from a friend, ate at restaurant while in NY for Thanksgiving. Really enjoyed ourselves. Food was good, loved the room. Will eat here again when back in NY.
Came up from Virginia for Thanksgiving and wanted some Mexican the day before. This place was delicious! Got the Smokey bacon guacamole to start. I highly recommend it. For dinner I had the short ribs so tender you could cut with a fork and my wife had the sizzling fajitas. The fajitas smelled wonderful and had huge shrimp and big chunks of chicken. It tasted just like it smelled, flavorful. Of course we had some adult beverages. I had the Cadillac margarita and my wife had the passion fruit margarita. They were both good but we liked the passion fruit margarita a little better. So if you are looking for a great Mexican restaurant, this place is it! I will definitely be going back.
One of the few places in the neighborhood where I can have a business lunch meeting in surroundings that aren't too cramped and noisy. The food is quite good. Guacamole is a must. On this occasion, the service was somewhat slow and awkward.
Very average food
The guacamole did not taste fresh. Also they offer you the largest size without letting you know and it shows up on your bill at $27. We felt rushed. The restaurant is huge with a lot of empty tables on a Friday night. The enchiladas we're good but not worth the price.
We went to celebrate my friend’s
birthday. The food and the drinks were excellent and the servers followed my request on Open Table for a birthday cupcake for dessert.
We had a really good time!
I enjoyed another brunch. I had Huevos Rancheros this time which was excellent. The server was friendly and helpful. I recommend this as a good casual place to enjoy tasty food.
An enjoyable evening. The food was good and the waiters cheerful and friendly. I would go back - but it was hard to escape the background music.
Our server Caesar was amazing. The food and drinks were awesome!
Love it. Maureen and Bob Psulson. A lovely and accommodating staff always.
Dos Caminos has become a frequent Sunday brunch venue due to good food with friendly service at an attractive price.
The Huevos con Chorizo with a side of grilled corn has become a favorite.
Great food (don't miss the hamburger and the hot fudge sundae), ambience (tables well-spaced, allows for normal conversation), and service (Julianna is a wonderful host, Orlando gives unobtrusive but extremely attentive service).
