Poor service and food.
Went for Sunday brunch, our server was so nice and attentive, as soon as a drink was empty she was there to get us refills! The Bottomless frozen prickly pears till 4pm were strong 😍. Will definitely be returning to this location!
I arrived on time for my reservation, but it was not updated in the app. Please correct.
The food and drinks were good. Our server Enrique was awesome.
I always enjoy this as authentic as you can get in NYC, Mexican restaurant .
Nice atmosphere. The guacamole is a must.
A hint of pushing food as portions are generous. So be firm on controlling quantity. If you are new to Mexican food I suggest sharing a variety of dishes as the cuisine lends itself to that.
Overall very good.
We had a team lunch in Dos Caminos. The service was bad and slow. The quality and taste of food wasn't good at all.
Great Service. Food and drinks were excellent will definitely come again
Great! Service was fantastic
Food and service were very good. Large portions are served so be prepared to take some home
I have been in this restaurant many many times.
Today’s service was abominable.
At 12:00, before the lunch hour even started, there were no hand towels in one bathroom and no soap in another bathroom.
Outrageous and an embarrassment to me and guests that I was hosting.....AND I am a Landry member.
nice place great location on park avenue . less crowded than its other locales and more upscale
I have been to every Dos Caminos location in NYC. I love their drink and food menu. However yesterday I made the mistake of ordering something different, the braised ribs rather than my usual surf and turf naked taco. The ribs were tough and were covered in what tasted like canned gravy. It was the first time I did not finish a meal at DC. Otherwise, the drinks and ambience were good.
Great service and food!
Great service and fun
Very nice Mexican restaurant with a great feel. The food was excellent as well as the drinks Only gripe as being charged for chips and salsa. Definitely recommend!
Server very good . Attentive. Tacos flavorful . Guacamole best ever! Margaritas flavorful !
Love Dos Caminos
Can’t wait to return
Meh, this place is nothing special. Expensive for what it is. Never great.
The food is so good I recommended sharing everything you order. My favorite is the Mexico City Street Corn side dish. Pescado tacos - delish! Enchiladas de Queso - muy delicioso!
Fabulous food excellent service top shelf and clean
Dos Caminos on Park Ave. is my "go to place" if I want to unwind after a busy day or to have a lazy Sunday brunch. The Mexican food is consistently good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It has an attractive ambiance that is conducive to sitting down and enjoying the meal. I went for the Sunday brunch and had the egg skillet with chorizo and cheese which I recommend.
Must come for a one on one date or friends night out. It's very spacious, clean, friendly staff!
Dos Caminos on Park consistently delivers good food and friendly service The posole was genuine and the green chile rellenos were enjoyable. The restaurant has an nice ambiance.
Good food and even better, helpful, staff. I had the brunch menu with huevos rancheros which I recommend. The server was very helpful and got the kitchen to provide an off the menu of chicharonnes which was a wonderful touch of personalized service.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent food, excellent bottomless package, excellent service. Would easily go back again.
Decent food, not the best bottomless brunch experience.
I had bottomless mimosas and I had to wait for 10mins for the next glasses.
But food was great and ambience was so good
Loud and fairly unruly, and not unexpectedly (because it’s on Park Ave South, too expensive for what it is.
Forgot appetizer and main course came out less than 5 minutes after ordering
Service was slow and the server was rude. He would actively ignore us and passed 2-3x when we were actively looking for him before he would cater to our ask. The food was decent but for the price, you could definitely get higher quality elsewhere. Parts of the steak and eggs entree were burned (hash brown and steak). The rancheros were drench so much that it wasn’t clear where the eggs were and the sauce was so spicy (not indicated in the menu and I like spicy) that it was difficult to eat.
Tough to get a refill of tortilla chips and drinks. He upgraded the size of the guacamole without consulting us and we did not know until the bill. Average per person sans bottomless was about $35-40 (one drink not strong, one free shot from check on) splitting the guacamole and having an entree (including coffee/tea/OJ as well). Bottomless brunchers paid about $60.
The brunch entree comes with one alcoholic and one non alcoholic drink. Bottomless is an extra $18 and margs are about $13-17. You should only get bottomless if you will get more than three, drink fast, and give yourself time to nail the waiter down (they purposefully stall so you have a drink for 40-50min and the max is 2hrs).
Ambience and decor is nice. Okay for a brunch but not worthwhile to return.
The food and cocktails were enjoyable! A bit quieter than the midtown location which worked better for date night.
I put in my reservation that I would like a quiet, semi-private table since the gathering was of people who hadn't seen each other in five years. They put as at a nice table in the back, which was in a significantly quieter area. The waitress was incredibly nice and the food was good. And they let us sit there and catch up for 3 hours after we finished eating! Which really made our reunion extra special.
We usually come to the city once a year and this is one of our favorite restaurants. We recently went here and were very disappointed. They can’t even afford to have adequate air conditioning now. The manager said they weren’t expecting so many people all at once so the air will eventually catch up. In addition, guacamole now $27 for two avocados in it. My food was mediocre at best. It seems like the place only caters to 18-23 years olds now. There are plenty of other places to go for Mexican that are better food, better price and adult atmosphere.
Bachelorette dinner, had a fun attentive waiter!
Noisy, music was very loud. Guacamole was excellent, food was good. However couldn't hold a proper conversation due to noisy and music.
The food was amazing as usual. Tortilla soup never disappoints and the taquitos de pollo with sweet potato were amazing. We got 2 free shots of the prickly pear margarita from a deal we saw on the Dos Caminos Yelp page and they were sweet but very good. Chicken chopped salad was huge and delicious.
Great food. A bit loud but nice ambiance.
A fun, lively setting -- unusual to find a restaurant so vast, so clean and efficient in Manhattan; a bit corporate but has personality. Be warned, the music is rather loud and insistent -- this isn't a relaxing place by any means. What we got for brunch was good food, well prepared, if not particularly creative or mind-blowing. The guacamole is excellent but for $27 you'd expect it to be prepared tableside (it was not). The brunch deal with drink included is pretty good but the options are limited. Servers were all very friendly and went out of their way to assist my senior mom on Mother's Day, which was appreciated.
Food was excellent. Service was outstanding.
Love the chips.
In part due to its upscale neighborhood location and large seating capacity, we weren't expecting that much from Dos Caminos -- and we were wrong. From the hostess greeting through the waiter's attentive questioning and the kitchen's flexibility, we enjoyed everything. The guacamole was solid, and the mole was extremely good. The margaritas are good, in the fairway of not too strong and not too weak. The only thing we didn't love was the membership card sales pitch at the end: the waiter did it as smoothly as possible, but in an era where we have ads everywhere for everything it would have been nice to not be "pitched" after dinner. That said, we'll definitely go back. Put it on your list.
