Amazing food, warm atmosphere and good service. We always have a brilliant time here and visit whenever we are in NYC.
The churro pancakes are delicious!
Sat at the bar and the bartender was absolutely lovely but the food has gone way downhill. Guac was ok, not great. Fish tacos were literally not seasoned at all and tasteless. Chopped salad was inedible. Last time I went had a similar food experience and never wrote anything - they need to have a look at their kitchen.
I've been here several times for brunch. Not sure if it was because we showed up toward the end of brunch that the wait staff seemed disorganized and was downright rude.
Restaurant has nice ambiance for an evening drink and dinner. The food was delicious and we will be back in the near future.
We were very disappointed in the service, which is the second time that this has happened. The restaurant itself has a great ambiance but it was barely half full on a Friday night at 8pm. Great drinks!
It was good
First time ever feeling I've had to write a review. I remember Dos Caminos with such fond memories but the quality of food and service has gone downhill since. I had to send back the shrimp rice dish and guacamole for being way too salty. Had to yell at the waiter to get his attention. The check had to be corrected because they charged an shrimp quesadilla on the bill. Overall terrible experience.
Dos Caminos is our go to place in Nomad. It never disappoints, but the past few times we have had bad service, but it wont stop us from going! The margaritas and sangria are really good and the guacamole is awesome! The tacos are always my go to
Standard NYC Mex. Great queso fundido. Pleasant waitstaff.
Food was amazing as well as the atmosphere. Server seemed a bit slow coming over to us but he was very nice.
We went for a birthday during Restaurant Week and really enjoyed it. Our selections were tasty and a really good value.
Drinks, food & service excellent! We all had a very good time!
We had the shrimp quesadilla which was completely overcooked, burnt and shriveled... I don’t see how they sent it out of the kitchen like that! Service was spotty; overall disappointing, where I usually love this place ...
Great place. Good mimosas. Good service. Portions are a little small in my opinion.
Food was very good....well prepared, interesting flavors.
Service was very good, wait staff pleasant and attentive without being intrusive.
Noise level high, but, part of the festive environment.
Great food but the hostesses were a bit rude and awkward. Our waiter was great though.
Heard mixed reviews about this place so thought hey worth a try. We were a pretty large party for a birthday brunch and all did the bottomless brunch the margaritas were nice and strong however they definitely bring them out very slowly so you could be waiting a while for your next one. The food portions were very small we actually ended up going to get food immediately after leaving. The steak was tasty but for a total of $50 it would have been nice to get a decent portion. Probably would not be back. The decorations were cute though ;)
Amazing service. Not many vegetarian options.
Wonderful food and atmosphere. Attentive staff
Klasse Guacamole! Drinks sehr gut. Service ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Gute Musik - aber insgesamt - jedenfalls für mittags - zu laut, um sich halbwegs vernünftig zu unterhalten. Komme aber immer wieder gerne zurück!
Such slow service.
I met with a group of friends for dinner and it started well. The guacamole and salsas were good, the trio of ceviche was disappointing. Our entrees were good, lots of taco choices. We decided to share a dessert and put the order in. 20 minutes later, the manager came over and told us they “literally just ran out”. This information was have been useful 20 minutes earlier. She did offer us a dessert on the house but by that time, we were ready to go so we asked for the check. It took a little bit to get the check and after another 10 minutes I finally waved down our waitress. She came back with the cards but she had rung incorrect amounts. We sent them back again and they came back wrong again. Finally on the third try, we were set to go. It just seemed as if once we got our entrees, no one cared what we needed. Not a great way to end the night and a lack of concern left us not caring to ever go again.
All good, food was tasty
Good standard Mexican selections. Nicely prepared, very tasty! Fresh ingredients. Fast and very efficient and friendly service. Ample restrooms. Clean and nicely decorated throughout. Easily found close by street parking Sunday midday.
Excellent guacamole. Soldi vegetarian options are lacking.
Probably the worst service ever! Understaffed, waitress was so inattentive and the food was timed all wrong. I had my entree while my friends waited 10+ minutes for theirs
Very disappointing. Food over cooked. Waiter was curt. Who needs attitude when your place is 2nd rate? Honestly? Much much better ethnic restaurants in the city. Save yourself time and money.
Food was good but the guacamole was cold, as if from out of the fridge and the corn bread was over cooked. It was new years day so it was quiet.
I've been to dos caminos many times before and I have to say after today's experience I will not be returning. After ordering the bottomless brunch option we were told everyone at the table had to order the bottomless brunch, I have never encountered that, in fact I have brought a pregnant friend here for brunch in the past and now I wonder if she would have been forced to order the bottomless option since I had ordered it when we had previously been there. This is a silly policy that is not stated any where on the menu, but putting that aside let's move on to when my friend ordered soup which did not come with a spoon so we asked for one and she waited about 15 minutes for a spoon at which point the soup was ice cold and she sent it back. The soup was still on the bill which we then had to send back and wait for the new bill. The server was preparing to go on her break, which is understandable but it appeared she wanted our table out. All in all it was a bad experience and I won't be going back which is disappointing because I have enjoyed brunch here before but as a paying customer to be treated so poorly is unacceptable.
Came here for an all-the-are-in-town brunch and it was great! Inexpensive for Brunch in Manhattan, food was great and the guac is amazing as usual
The menu features interesting takes on Mexican cuisine. The large space of the restaurant is decorated with dramatic notes which harmonizes nicely with the meal. We were dining lunchtime and we were able to have good conversation so the restaurant noise level was festive but not mind numbing. We will definitely be back.
Food was okay at best. Our waiter had a rough night, which wasn't helped by the tires kids with us. Dinner took far longer than we had expected, at over 90 minutes. However, the manager attempted to make things right I they deserve credit for realizing that there was a problem to begin with.
Food was great.. guacamole delicious as well as the quesadillas!
Great atmosphere. Helpful and friendly staff. Food was delicious. Very large portions so either come hungry or share between your group members. Definitely get the guacamole!
The service was good and our waiter attentive. Unfortunately the food was So/So. My taquitos were quite cold to the touch and when they brought them back to me, it was two extra crispy taquitos tossed on a plate.
The best part of my meal? Mexican Street Corn.
Too noisy and slow service
The hostess & server was friendly, however we did not get our food as ordered... ie I asked for chicken tacos with No beans- beans were in the tacos. We ordered mac & chorizo, we received extra rice instead. It wasn’t worth complaining about because we were on a time crunch, but they removed the mac & chorizo from the bill as we obviously didn’t recieve it. Food was not that good.. ambiance not as nice as the photos. Would not return.
Tacos cane out cold. Drinks super expensive. Service was ok; nothing to write home about.
Great food as I remembered last time I visited 10 yes ago
