We were late for our reservation, but the staff was very kind and seated us after only a five or six minute wait. The staff was friendly, and our waiter was very nice. The restaurant was definitely kid-friendly, which was perfect as we had four children with us. Those are all the positives.
The food was horrendous. I mean really, truly horrendous. The guacamole appetizer was bland, the chips were stale and all of the entrees were terrible. My friend and I shared the chicken and shrimp fajitas and I have seen nicer presentations at Chiles! No sizzling pan, no salsa, sour cream or other condiments, and no tortillas! My daughter's tacos were similar -- chicken in a stale taco shell, with nothing else. My son's steak had a taste that can best be described as "plastic." It was really just a terrible meal.
awesome valetines dinner date! the food was amazing, the customer service was ON THE MONEY! great place for a great date. thank you!
Unfortunately, our margaritas were weak, the all our food was served cold/lukewarm and the chicken tacos were bland, despite also being unbearably salty. Will not be eating here again.
Food and service was top-notch! Food was delicious and came out in a flash.
The food was incredibly basic and the Mac and Chorizo, which I was really excited about, was bland and super over cooked. For the location and prices, this was a really disappointing experience.
The Best Place Everrrrrr!!!! The food was amazing, drinks creative, and a cute little ambiance. If you love Mexican food, issa win!
Food was subpar and expensive
Wait staff wasslow
It was my first time at Dos Caminos. I made reservations earlier that day, the restaurant was pretty busy when we got there but we were seated immediately, there was no wait. The food was delicious, the drinks were so tasty and music was lively. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. It was a great night. I will definitely go back.
Sat for at least 10 minutes before anyone came to serve us. Walked out.
Definitely not the same service and food as in the beginning, rice that was served with beans was completely undercooked and inedible, butternut squash in the vegetable taco dish was undercooked and inedible because it was halfway raw. When we told our waiter the rice was underdone, he informed us everyone else seemed to say the same thing and there was nothing that could be done and the cook did not cook it throughly. A restaurant with a kitchen should have the capacity to recook a simple, dish to be re-served to the customers. Unacceptable and never will go back to any of the locations.
Ordered the shrimp quesadilla and it was pretty good till I started chewing on the peel left on the shrimp which was only half way done. I informed the waitress and she said I'll take it to the manager, she came back about 10-15 minutes later and just said sorry about that, did not offer to replace the meal or take it off the bill. I had to ask to speak to the manager about removing it, who did not bother to come out and they only discount it in half. The drinks were great and we enjoyed ourselves. But not big on customer service do not think I will be back.
Save your money, go to a Chili’s. Seriously, the food is mediocre and expensive. More than $20 for guac that is not more than 2-3 avocados cut up. Not much adventurous on the menu. My shrimp quesadilla was like the “pizza” I make for my son with pasta sauce and cheese when there’s nothing left in the fridge. Oh, and don’t hope that getting buzzed from the drinks will distract you from the food: they are served in thick glasses with lots of ice to give the impression that your money is actually buying you something.
This was our second time there and the experience was exactly the same. I live in the neighborhood and am aware of the better options. Try Rocking Horse on 8th Ave (worth the money, more festive, local) or Benny’s Burritos on Greenwich for basic but good and better drinks.
Dos is normally always a delicious meal. Not this time, all three of us felt like our tacos were cold, meat/fish was rubbery. I received the wrong drink and the waiter insisted it was correct. Not a good night for Dos.
Came for brunch on a Sunday, food was delicious as always!
Ole! Was good
