Be aware that going “Go bottomless” does not mean getting a drink after another that quick...

Dos Caminos used to be a fun NYC restaurant. But now they try to sell you their loyalty membership program, which makes it feel like a roadside Applebee's in Ohio (no offense to Ohio). NYC'ers don't want to use coupons or pull out a membership card at a restaurant. It was embarrassing to have someone trying to sell us this program when we selected this restaurant to go to with visiting guests. Everyone at the table had a British accent expect for myself, and it still did not stop them from trying to sell this to us numerous times. I don't blame the sever, but this is not a classy move.

Food is still good though.

Great dinner at Dos Caminos! I came for my birthday with four friends and had booked the res online for 8:00pm. I thought the reservation was for 7:30pm and they were able to accomodate us 30 mins early on a Saturday evening. We had a great table all the way in the back which was much quieter than up near the bar. Great food and great cocktails. A little pricey but that is what you pay for good food and service.

Food was served cold. Service was terrible. Even paying the check had to track down our waiter. Never refilled the waters. Had to go to bar for water. This place has went completely downhill these last couple years.

WE SAW A MOUSE! We would never go back. We shared a guac which was great but we saw a mouse run by during it and told the waiter. Our waiter was extremely nice and got the manager. She was terrible. She had a chance to make this right but did not care to. I am sure a lot of NYC restaurants have mice but I doubt they are in the dining room. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!!!

We were late for our reservation, but the staff was very kind and seated us after only a five or six minute wait. The staff was friendly, and our waiter was very nice. The restaurant was definitely kid-friendly, which was perfect as we had four children with us. Those are all the positives.

The food was horrendous. I mean really, truly horrendous. The guacamole appetizer was bland, the chips were stale and all of the entrees were terrible. My friend and I shared the chicken and shrimp fajitas and I have seen nicer presentations at Chiles! No sizzling pan, no salsa, sour cream or other condiments, and no tortillas! My daughter's tacos were similar -- chicken in a stale taco shell, with nothing else. My son's steak had a taste that can best be described as "plastic." It was really just a terrible meal.

My girlfriend and I decided to take a stop by Dos Caminos for dinner Saturday night. We sat down and took about 5-10 minutes before our waitress came over. We ordered Chips and guacamole to start, then ordered our dinners. About 15-20 minutes later we received our entrees but no chips and guacamole. We decided to cancel the guacamole and just eat our dinners. The enchiladas were good but was a very small portion. Overall it was okay, nothing special.

Unfortunately, our margaritas were weak, the all our food was served cold/lukewarm and the chicken tacos were bland, despite also being unbearably salty. Will not be eating here again.

It was my first time at Dos Caminos. I made reservations earlier that day, the restaurant was pretty busy when we got there but we were seated immediately, there was no wait. The food was delicious, the drinks were so tasty and music was lively. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. It was a great night. I will definitely go back.

Definitely not the same service and food as in the beginning, rice that was served with beans was completely undercooked and inedible, butternut squash in the vegetable taco dish was undercooked and inedible because it was halfway raw. When we told our waiter the rice was underdone, he informed us everyone else seemed to say the same thing and there was nothing that could be done and the cook did not cook it throughly. A restaurant with a kitchen should have the capacity to recook a simple, dish to be re-served to the customers. Unacceptable and never will go back to any of the locations.

Ordered the shrimp quesadilla and it was pretty good till I started chewing on the peel left on the shrimp which was only half way done. I informed the waitress and she said I'll take it to the manager, she came back about 10-15 minutes later and just said sorry about that, did not offer to replace the meal or take it off the bill. I had to ask to speak to the manager about removing it, who did not bother to come out and they only discount it in half. The drinks were great and we enjoyed ourselves. But not big on customer service do not think I will be back.

Save your money, go to a Chili’s. Seriously, the food is mediocre and expensive. More than $20 for guac that is not more than 2-3 avocados cut up. Not much adventurous on the menu. My shrimp quesadilla was like the “pizza” I make for my son with pasta sauce and cheese when there’s nothing left in the fridge. Oh, and don’t hope that getting buzzed from the drinks will distract you from the food: they are served in thick glasses with lots of ice to give the impression that your money is actually buying you something.

This was our second time there and the experience was exactly the same. I live in the neighborhood and am aware of the better options. Try Rocking Horse on 8th Ave (worth the money, more festive, local) or Benny’s Burritos on Greenwich for basic but good and better drinks.

Dos is normally always a delicious meal. Not this time, all three of us felt like our tacos were cold, meat/fish was rubbery. I received the wrong drink and the waiter insisted it was correct. Not a good night for Dos.

We’ve been here before in the summer. Sitting outside had a much better atmosphere. We were upstairs and there wasn’t much atmosphere at all, baby’s crying and teenagers laughing. Not my kind of dinner vibe. Food good. Service slow and some items not correct. We over ordered even though we asked if we had. We had to have take out because we ordered far too much.
