Food was really late
Service here is painfully slow. This has been a constant at this particular location and I never seem to learn my lesson. Waited 10 minutes to finally get someone to take our drink order. Water, plates and utensils would be another 10 minute wait. I know in COVID times waitstaff tend to be hands off but here’s a tip: Ration your water because it might have to last the entire meal before you get a refill or someone comes around to check on you. Besides the suboptimal service the food is great. Who doesn’t like freshly made guacamole and chips?
Service a little slow because short staffed. Post pandemic fallout I know. So I get it. It was fine. Still enjoyed it all.
The food was good, just middle of the road good Mexican, well served, pleasant atmosphere, good service. Only complaint, most of the beers on the menu were nonexistent .
Great covered outdoor seating options
We arrived and it took 30 minutes for water, 40 minutes to order. It was very loud and we got the food, we did not get napkins, plates nor silverware. The drinks were wrong and they did not confirm my arrival via Open Table.
Came here for a birthday brunch with friends. Service for bottomless mimosas was incredibly slow which defeated the purpose. Food was just ok-they did not correctly prepare the eggs for two orders and had to be sent back. Ordered a guacamole which didn’t come for 45+ mins once we had already finished our meal. I was very disappointed overall.
Horrible service the food has changed for the worst. It was like going to taco bell.
Food and drinks were 10/10 - unfortunately, I think the restaurant was experience some growing pains as it took nearly 20 minutes once being seated to place a drink order. It then took them another 20 minutes to deliver the drinks.
We ended up waiting a long time for appetizers to come out, but on top of that were not given silverware or plates and had to wait a bit for that to come through.
The table was not ready when we got there. We were sat 30 minutes after our the reservation time. Our table was completely dirty. Hostess was not polite. Terrible experience
Waited 30 minutes with a reservation because server did not show up to work. Ran out of Bloody Mary mix, ran out of frozen margaritas, served guacamole without any seasoning or spice. Had to ask three times for sauce. Prices have been raised significantly and no longer a free cocktail with brunch. This place is going downhill fast.
The hostess was rude.
The food wasn’t great compared what it use to be. Pretty much every table had a long wait for their order. The food wasn’t cooked good enough and it was tasteless just like that drinks.
Our waitress was very sweet but i think had too many tables. Service was slow and no one ever came to clear our plates. We paid the check and left with the plates still on the table
All around good time to catch up with a couple close girlfriend’s over a birthday celebration! Food and margaritas never disappoint.
Horrible check in
Staff was not prepared. We arrived when the restaurant opened, at the time of our reservation. Doors were locked and menus were still being printed. We had a young child with us and had to wait nearly an hour to receive our meal. When we did receive our food, the dishes were...off. We’ve eaten at this restaurant many times and know the menu well. It’s like the scrambled to put our meals together and ingredients were missing or the presentation was wrong.
Took my friend here for a Mother's Day dinner and she absolutely loved it. She had a margarita that had spicy salt on the rim that she was gushing over and the atmosphere was very accommodating.
The waitress was very friendly
This is actually one of my favorite restaurants to go to when I am in NYC.
Really enjoyed the margaritas and Mac and cheese ofcourse the Guacamole you guys “did a thing” 2 thumbs up
Cinco de Mayo at Dos Caminos was so fun! Music was great & ambience was 10/10. Service was even quicker than usual!
The food and cocktails great. I love it... I could easy see this as one of my favorite sit-down mexican places.
On the other hand, the service staff took a while to get to us, and the music is super-loud and I had to yell to be heard when talking at the table. I suspect they are understaffed, and the ambience is a bit retrograde.
Chips were stale, service was almost non-existent, had to get up and ask waitress to get her attention. Was not busy at all.
The server was nice but took 20 minutes to see him and had to ask for plates, silverware and water when the food came. The food was disappointing nachos barely any cheese the salad I ordered was so spicy it was actually tinted red which I’ve had it many times in the past they just over spiced it. The wait for the food was to the point where I just suffered though the spice and ate what I could just wanted it to be over and leave. The place was busy but feels more like a bridge and tunnel spot now.
Incredible service and friendly staff. The outdoor seating is awesome too
When my party arrived, the hostess refused to honor our reservation. We were told the restaurant is full and there is a problem with open table reservation system.
The food was excellent, better than I remember pre-pandemic. The nearby construction is finally over, and the outdoor setting is one of the nicest ones around.
Unfortunately our sever disappeared at the end of our meal. We wanted to order more drinks and the bus person came to clear some plates and never returned. We saw a manager walk by and asked him for the check and skipped the extra round of drinks.
Incredibly delayed service. Overcrowded and understaffed for weekend brunch crowds.
We didn’t get an outdoor table
So mad at the situation we waited one hour for a drink during happy hour I get they’re short staffed but if you see a drink or food ans it’s not your table you’re suppose to run it . And we shouldn’t have been charged full price after we had to reorder other tacos . I love the soho location I most likely wouldn’t come here again until it’s staffed better
The staff for my group of 15 was amazing. I contacted the restaurant a few days before to let them know we would like to be seated outside. The woman I spoke with said she would put in the request, but no guarantees, but they would do what they could. The staff when we began arriving was simply amazing. They had arranged for a small grouping of tables outside for us. The waiter and staff were attentive and gave us plenty of time to assemble and order. The drinks were great and creative. The menu was innovative and different and not the usual Mexican cuisine. I will say that it was pricy. $28 for a molcajete of guacamole and chips. But the guacamole was probably the best I've ever had.
Ate indoors. In order to keep distance between dining groups, we were seated upstairs. Had some nice drinks-the Durango is good! Guacamole, chips and salsa were great. Brunch menu is back on, the breakfast burrito was the right size for a Saturday afternoon-
It was great. Only thing would be that the server didn’t come check on us often and drinks took a while to get to us bc they seemed very busy. But they were very nice.
Was really good but they didn’t have coffee or iced tea or the salad dressing that was on the menu
The food was fine but the service was horrible. Took forever to be seated even though we had a reservation. Took even longer to get water and order drinks and our server didn't even acknowledge we had been waiting for about 15-20 minutes. Our server barely checked in and when it was time for the check, she came around three times. One time even opening the book to see if we put our card down yet.
My Boyfriend and I went to two museums that day,We had a 2 hour gap, so I quickly made a reservation for two that was close enough to the artechouse museum. We ordered our drinks (Mojito and a Tropical Storm) a small guacamole(needed salt) and a Nachos en Cazuela since we were meeting friends later for dinner. First of all, I don’t know this waitress name, 2nd the appetizers arrived, and we didn’t get a chance to request anything.. We were left with no utensils or plates! we waited approximately 10 mins to see if someone would come by- they didn’t. My boyfriend was facing me towards the back of the restaurant, so he then turned to face the front of the restaura making it obvious that he was trying to get someone to come towards the table/ Someone’s attention. I believe the waitress was a little annoyed of his body language, so she comes towards us and states may I help you? He then says that he would like some utensils, plates and napkins. She arrives within two minutes with the utensils and plates, and her body language was almost as she was annoyed- now the food is cold. Before leaving he ask her for some water, she comes back with some water doesn’t ask us if we need anything else. Ate cold food, and We waited another 20 minutes, now we have no alcoholic beverages (Still on first round) After another 10-15 the couple next to us finished their meal and left- She then was helping out 2 other tables, refilling their waters and being so courteous, she didn’t come to our table for another 30 mins or so.. now it’s been a hour there with the same round of drinks, no water, no napkins. Finally she makes her way back to our end (Which she’s always been around due to the table next to us being helped by her) and she asks if we need anything else? We ordered another round my boyfriend had the mojito again, I requested a Frozen margarita she stated the machine was broken, i requested a passion fruit marg, she said they don’t have it. Horrible service !
Great time with friends
Excellent service, food, and time. Will be back for sure
The food was really good! The service was beyond the worst I have ever received.
