We stopped by on our way to a show. The waiter was very nice and attentive. We were able to enjoy the dinner and make it in time. They have a piano bar which is separate from the dinner area and another area for cabaret. It was super neat! Will return for sure.
Pretty solid place to grab a meal with friends before attending an evening show in the Theater District. Food was very good, waiter was friendly and knowledgeable, and meal was delivered in good time.
Really enjoyed it all. Had the duck and for me it was a perfect dish
Nice intimate place to have a delicious meal pre-theatre. Waitstaff is friendly and efficient. Food is simple, straightforward and delicious. I will definitely come back again.
Food was good
And he secured a good table at the separate but adjoining piano bar that was great
We were a little early for our reservation, but the host was able to seat us quickly. The dining area was nicely lite to make it very cozy and relaxed. Our waiter was friendly and greeted us promptly. I had the Chicken Marsala which was very good, wife order a steak cooked medium, however it came out well, and a little dry, she said nothing to the waiter, but told me at the end.
Suggestion tell waiter what you expect medium should be, a little pink not bloody, as all restaurants are different. We will try again when in the city.
Pre theater dinner with a friend. Good food good service. Would definitely go back again
We were there on a rainy night so it was very quiet. The food was excellent and the service was superb. Everyone was nice and personable making for a very pleasant experience. We will definitely go back, the location is perfect for preempt theatre dinners.
We arrived early and we were seated right away. We had one additional person as well and we were welcomed and served, no issues.
Food was excellent.
Food was ok and reasonably priced for the area. No draft beers only mainstream beers in bottles but that isn’t uncommon in Manhattan tourist area.
Based on reviews, my husband and I chose Don't Tell Mama as a pre theater dining experience. We stopped for a drink in the bar attached to the restaurant and enjoyed our experience so we looked forward to dining in the adjoining restaurant. While the service and ambiance were good, the portions were quite small. I am not a big eater, but I have to admit I left hungry. I don't anticipate returning to this restaurant.
Service was great not too expensive especially on Restaurant Row
We dined here before seeing a Broadway play. Our waiter was delightful as was the food. Very nice evening and dinner!
Was not impressed with menu or food
What a great find. Good food and great staff. Wanted to stay for Cabaret but had to leave for a play. We will go again! Thanks Josh!
It was our first time here! The staff was great and the place itself was really nice! The food was good, nothing extraordinary, but still good.
Food was great. Very generous wine pour. Dined very early so quiet but could get loud. Seems to be a neighborhood gem. Would go back
Small restaurant, definitely make a reservation. Great place to go before the Theater. Foods was hot. I had the steak which was properly cooked, my wife had the Hallibut which unfortunately was slightly overcooked. Menu had plenty of options. It's a keeper and would eat here again
We ate in the restaurant at 5:00 p.m. on a Friday and there were only two other single tables filled so it was very quiet. However, by the time we left around 6:30 it was full and quite lively. It is small and cozy so if you don't like being right up close to the table next to you (which apparently the couple eventually seated next to us didn't), this is not the place for you. My daughter and I loved it, though. The food and service were excellent; the Broadway-themed cocktails were a nice touch. My only regret is that we had other plans for the evening and couldn't go to the piano bar or the cabaret.
Absolutely love this place! Literally the best garlic bread in NYC! A must before the theatre or just an amazing dinner!
