More upscale experience compared to similar restaurants in area. Picked here because of the wine list which again is better compared to peers. Good wine selection to pair with the bbq! Also good cocktail, sake and Korean alcohol options.
Great food, great service. What more can be said? Warm house outside.
Outstanding service, superb quality beef and menu options.
Wait staff were attentive and very helpful explaining the menu as we had never been to a Korean restaurant before. Food portions were generous but not excessive. The many small dishes served with the meal added a variety of fantastic flavors.
The new reservations same day and had no trouble getting the table. We found the restaurant elegant, this move is attentive, in the legal issues. A family never had Korean barbecue before, and the deleted thoroughly. The place was a bit pricey though, the cost of $100 per person.
Great place and delicious food! Loved the ambience and not too expensive.
Probably one of the best kbbq places to eat, the prices are a little high but the place is great. The service is exceptional, great place to celebrate anything.
The meat has great marbling. The staff communication and coordination was impressive. Our main waiter was attentive and engaging in a welcomed way. He cooked the meat perfectly and expertly explained the dishes and how to enjoy them.
Very good authentic Korean bbq
Very expensive for the amount of food
It was incredible
The Kobe is delicious!
Went for the lunch special. Tasty food, fair amount, and a nice price. Will come back.
The server wouldn’t explain anything, everything was just thrown at us without any idea what anything is. Staff was staring at us like we were eating it wrong and chuckling.
Food was good. Waitress was very rude. We ordered dumplings as a starter and the waitress tried to remove the plate as we were eating off it.
Great atmosphere, food even better. Will definitely return again.
Excellent meat and a really wonderful selection of little dishes of marinated vegetables done deliciously Korean style unlike any other place we have eaten at before. Prices are a bit on the high side, especially the mushrooms for the grill, but very well done and not overly marinated. Excellent sticky rice, which you have to ask for! Nice ambiance and attentative waiters.
Outstanding K BBQ. We had the 3 marinated meats with mushrooms and the seafood pancake. All absolutely wonderful. Meat was moist and flavorful. Lychee martinis and wine were on point with the food. Top notch Korean experience. Highly recommend!
Amazing food choice and great service. I have been there a few years ago and experienced similar service and quality of food. I like the BBQ tables with ventilation for each table and the BBQ stove.
They could add a few more Banchan plates during dinner or lunch.
I would go there again.
Overall very good. We had the 5 meats. The kimchi was good and the lychee martinis excellent. I think I would prefer more of the marinated meats, as they had more flavor.
Sat outside and thought it would be warm enough however the heater wasn’t on till we were seated and didn’t produce enough heat. It was enough to not need gloves but that was about it. Waiter didn’t barely speak. Food was good.
Try the different selections of meat (if you're a meat eater). You will not be dissapointed. I would also suggest the lunch special if you make it there in time. You get a great deal for a very reasonable price. I will definitely be back and this place is one of my go to's for KBBQ.
Forced out after 90 min
Best Korean BBQ after Cote
I said in one of the outside enclosures which meant that it was much quieter, something we really appreciated. The enclosures have buttons to ring for service which is quite nice. The spicy pork bibimbap was fantastic and the japchae was very tasty with lots of vegetables. The kimchi stew with pork was tasty as well. This is not the place that has the most interesting side dishes that I've been to, and the steam egg was overcooked and kind of baked in the bottom. But notwithstanding these two deficiencies I would say this is a good place to eat in that area.
Excellent food and service. The bon chon and meat were all delicious. Only minor issue is related to the tables. They are arranged to feel like you are sitting on the floor but there are full size chairs, hard to explain but the result is you need to climb down into the seats. Getting in and out was a little awkward, fine for young and healthy people but it could be a challenge for people with mobility issues. I believe there were other tables available so if this is a concern ask for one of the more traditional style tables.
Food was great but very expensive. The experience is enjoyable, but not quite worth what you pay!
They had specific rules about needing multiple platters needed to turn on the grill. But we were only two. That’s fine, we ordered non-grill items. The server informed us that we needed to move as we wouldn’t be using the grill. Fine. Annoying but fine. Then he kept changing his mind, and went out of his way to be rude, about whether he’d let us stay/be served. Very confusing and frustrating. Literally everything else was great though. The food, the rest of the service, everything.
Great experience but they didn’t check our vaccination status
Super expensive compared to other places
The service and quality of food here are 12/10! I also really love the set up of the restaurant. my new favorite k bbq place, can’t wait to go back and try more items!
We celebrated our daughter’s birthday and it was wonderful!
Excellent quality meat! Great service and ambience!
Food was delicious, especially the beef. Not sure the chicken was worth the cost. Nothing special but the beef was superior. Also had a delicious seafood pancake appetizer. The kimchi and small dish accompaniments were well done. Overall nice ambiance, good food and wine selection.
have been coming to this place forever, but loving the great outdoor seating!
Food was just OK, but I have had better in Korea Town. Service was nice though and we got an indoor table even though I was only able to book outdoor seating.
Fantastic food, really great wine list, love the ambience and the warm/friendly staff! This is a K-town standout!
While there are plenty of authentic, Korean BBQ restaurants in Koreatown, none offer the elevated ambience & service of Don Bogam.
Would be nice to be offered tea or hot water - not ice cold water in Nov outdoor dinning.
