The restaurant pays to get exposure in search results for “gluten free Korean” but then seem to extend little effort to make the food flavorful. The soy sauce they provided had no seasoning until I requested scallions and sesame seeds, the bi bim bop was unseasoned and had bland unflavored tofu. Separately, our table felt unwelcome when we were threatened with being reseated if we didn’t order meat to BBQ. We then felt pressured to clear the table, though there were numerous empty tables available. I have eaten here before and this is the first time I did not like the treatment or food.

The food was delicious but the servers were very much of the SoupNazi, eat-and-get-out vibe. I had been for drinks before, and was expecting the same gentile & pleasant “wine bar” vibe of service to continue at the table. It did not. The servers did not greet, ask for a drink order, for questions about the menu… just rolled up and asked “You ready to order?” When we did not seem ready, they left and came back 5 min later and said “your order?” We were seated at one of the grill tables (not by request or with an explanation of policy) and when we did not initially order 2 meat BBQ entrees, the waiter told us very brusquely that we had to move tables- ? It was flustering and unpleasant trying to navigate this menu under pressure without any guidance. So flustered, we ordered 2 beef bbq entrees and canceled other things; they prepared them in the kitchen, not at our table grill. So what was the point? We were going to spend the same, if not more money on the other things we had planned to order. The whole vibe really detracted from the experience. As soon as our bill was paid (and I mean a literal moment after our signed receipts were removed) a busboy informed us “your time at the table has expired, you’ve exceeded it”. There were empty tables around us btw. I’m good w/ table time limits, ordering minimums, the works; I don’t understand the rudeness. Unpleasant restaurant evening (but great catch up with my friend!)

I frequently dine here with friends so it made sense to bring my family (who have never been) to celebrate my birthday. Everything was delicious and service was on point. This time however I was slightly disappointed. We realized before our last barbecue item came out that we had over ordered and asked if we could cancel the order given it was just marinated chicken. We were told that because the order had already been “prepared” that they could not accommodate our request. Though it seemed strange as it was not an item that was prepared and would go to waste, we accepted the situation. However, my daughter was still waiting for her dish which was cooked in the kitchen and it was apparent that they had perhaps forgotten it. Much to our surprise, they offered to cancel that order instead. Not sure if the price differential played a part in the decision but definitely a bit of a disappointment and inconsistency in service.

The staff was excellent and sweet. The furniture and decor has a little wear and tear, could use a touch up. BBQ beef plate and noodles were delicious. Seafood plates for grilling were mediocre, seemed like from frozen. Wine was great.

Service wasn’t good. A waiter dropped a few glasses right in front of us, and the pieces of broken glasses splattered across floor, with some coming right towards us. It was quite dangerous but no one really asked if we were alright. They instead just started cleaning the floor. Also, very hard to communicate with waiters. When we tried to order more food, our waiter told us he had already closed the bill and there is a group waiting after us. After we paid, we decided to stay there until they kicked us out, but they never did (we left after 30 mins), which means the waiter lied to us. Not coming back

Only complaint would be that we ordered way too much food, the appetiser portions are extremely generous and was unable to eat a lot of our food due to portion sizes - was a shame felt wasteful.
