Don Manuel's - The Resort at Pedregal Ratings and Reviews
Don Manuel's is located in the Pedregal resort located on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas. A tunnel was bored through the side of a mountain, that you drive (or walk) through, to access the resort. Valet parking and you are personally greeted by name and escorted down to Don Manuel's. The restaurant is truly beautiful, romantic and the service was attentive but not intrusive. We had the seafood cerviche, special
salad, arroz seafood entree and sea bass. The server was very conscientious about asking about food allergies and actually brought gluten free bread to the table. All of the food was impeccably prepared and not overly salted which we are hyper sensitive to. Perfect place for any special occasion. The drink pictured is a Paloma. Highly recommend it!
Stunning restaurant in gorgeous resort. Fairly priced for high quality food. Service is almost too much but if you don't mind being pampered I loved every minute of it. It's quiet and reserved very pleasant music does not detract. Please no backwards baseball caps this is a classy place treat it with respect!
Literally one of the best dining experiences in Cabo. Pricier than other options in the area but worth every penny as this spot is on par with some of NYC's finest. Amazing staff, phenomenal views and great live entertainment. The food was to die for and the desserts, I can't even. Yum.
We enjoyed our dinner, the food was amazing and not too spicy.
We had the risotto appetizer and the pork empanadas... they were both amazing.
My husband had a pork chop for dinner and love it.
I had a seafood bowl and it was good, not my favorite, but I think it was a preference issue, not good quality.
We enjoyed the atmosphere with the outside seating and live music. We will go back!
Don Manuels offers Impeccable service and amazing views. The waiters and waitresses couldn't of been more gracious and welcoming. Expect High quality and well thought out food. Favorite dish was the poblano risotto and a pork specialty which was slow cooked in banana leaf and super tender. The Octupus was the only dish we didn't love All other items were yummy and I would highly recommend this spot for a special dinner. I loved the decor , from the breathtaking scenery to the special lighting and the authentic Mexican dishes. All made for a very enjoyable evening.
The food and service was outstanding. My son had the veal enchiladas in mole sauce, and he said it was the best mole sauce he's ever eaten. I recommend the duck carnitas appetizer. The view of the Pacific Ocean is breath taking, and you can hear the crashing of the waves. We celebrated our son's 18th birthday so his dessert (churros) was complimentary. I would highly recommend Don Manuel for a special occasion.
We have dined at Don Manuel's several times. Food is excellent, and so is the service (from the hostess to the wait staff to the bar waiters to the floor manager). And the setting is both beautiful and peaceful. Don Manuel is definitely on our short list of best Cabo restaurants.
A very memorable dinner in a beautiful setting at a fabulous resort. Service was excellent, as was the food and ambience. An additional treat was the wonderful music by an excellent 4 piece guitar group. Expensive but not over the top, and I would highly recommend Don Manuels!
Four of us went for dinner. The men loved their entrees but my friend and I each ordered the tuna. Neither of us ate it because it had a strong fishy flavor. We also ordered the tuna tartare to split as an appetizer and it was delicious. The server noticed we didn't eat our tuna so the manager and chef each came out to apologize. Of course they took it off the check. Very classy way to handle an unfortunate situation.
My wife and I have been coming to Cabo for 20 years and this is our "go to" spot for the best food and ambiance in Cabo. Yes, the sister restaurant El Fallaron has the incredible views, but the better menu is at Don Manuel's. The appetizers were great, duck carnitas and risotto and we both ordered the lamb shank as an entrée, A+ on that. Service was excellent as always. My ONLY complaint is that one gets jammed up on corkage (Cabo restaurants all allow you to bring your own wine) as this Resort adds $40 US for that. Otherwise, it's the best we have had and continue to have in Cabo.
We have been to Cabo San Lucas twice -- both times, the best meal was at Don Manuel's. What an exceptional restaurant. Kind, thoughtful service (everyone seemed genuinely excited about the food, and that matters), a beautiful setting, and even single dish prepared to perfection. Between the two of us, we had their salad with organic vegetables (easily the best salad we've had in a restaurant in the past year), the duck carnitas, the veal mole enchiladas, and the "catch of the day" (a striped bass). Perfect. There's no other word. For dessert, the churros are amazing. This is a gem in Cabo San Lucas, and we can't wait to return again.
We celebrated our last night in Cabo at Don Manuels with our parents. It was, hands down, the best meal and service we've had in Cabo. The quality was outstanding - the menu was innovative, and the prices of the food were comparable to other high-end restaurants. Would highly recommend and will definitely make this a highlight of future trips for dinner.
Francisco the restaurant manager was terrific in arranging a special birthday dinner for my wife.
The setting at a private table was terrific and while I've eaten at all the gourmet and high end restaurants in Cabo this was far and away the best food and service bar none.
We celebrated my birthday at Don Manuels when we could not get a reservation at El Farallon. The staff gave impecable service! My main dish was Delicious! I was however disappointed with the corn tortillas. They were cold and stiff. I was expecting a soft warm homemade style. My boyfriend ordered the churros for dessert and they weren't anything special just churros in a tin bucket. The other dessert offerings had a beautiful presentation. Other than that, I had a wonderful experience!
We made a reservation here after being unable to secure one at El Farallon. We really enjoyed our evening as the service, ambiance and food...everything was very good. For appetizers we had the blue fin tuna tartare and heirloom tomato salad. Both very good. For entrees, we ordered Veal Enchiladas and braised lamb shank..both excellent. The pineapple upside down cake was ok but the complimentary chocolates were delicious...we could have skipped dessert!!
