Don & Charlie’s menu reflects the kind of fine American dining that has never gone out of style. The most popular menu items remain USDA prime steaks; hickory – smoked BBQ baby back ribs and chicken; prime rib; and fresh fish.

Don & Charlie’s features a comfortable atmosphere with warm wood paneling, banquettes, and crisply white – clothed tables. The star attraction is the veritable sports museum housed throughout the restaurant. It is thought to be the largest collection of sports memorabilia west of the Mississippi. It includes literally hundreds of autographed bats, balls, jerseys, and photos from athletes of past and present. It is not unusual to see celebrity players from every sport dining at the restaurant.

Don & Charlie’s is a Scottsdale landmark with a national reputation, their food and ambiance have been lauded in Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal, Gourmet Magazine and dozens of other publications.

The food was awesome, service very good, baseball/ sports motif. In town for spring training game 1, I did not feel out of place wearing my Dodgers jersey with many people more formal. A friend recommended Don & Charlie’s and said pro ball players eat here...it’s true. On the first day of spring training and Clayton Kershaw walks past our table...Wow! I think eating at Don & Charlie’s may become a tradition.

First time here. Great place for baseball memorabilia enthusiasts. The place is like a museum. Food was very good and service was excellent. Only drawback is the sound level; the restaurant was packed and we were told it always is this way. Almost had to shout to hear yourself heard. But worthwhile experience for a few hours of shouting.

Perfection! The menu has a good variety of options and I’ve never been disappointed. If you aren’t sure, go with one of their recommendations. The service is perfect without exception. It is not romantic but an elegant yet causal sport themed restaurant.

the good - the food was great. the table staff was quick and friendly.

the bad - the rude woman at the front desk with the dyed red hair.

we had 7 in our party. 3 of those are over 85 years old. 2 with canes. we had 6 out of 7 there ahead of time. the 7th was in traffic, but on the way. the woman wouldn't sit us " until your entire party is here"...i understand that policy so 1 person doesn't hold a table for 10....however, when you have 6 of 7...and 3 are old...making them stand, wait, sit in a bar...is just plain rude . So if one of the 7 got in a car accident and couldn't show up would they cancel the reservation? she was rude about it as well.

a shame that one person can put a sour taste about an otherwise lovely place.

been there several times and never any "issues"
great salad and sides, but the ribs were tough. couldn't pull apart . really difficult to cut.
ate almost half. took the rest home and steamed them. a little easier to eat.

One of my all time favorite restaurants! And also fun to see hall of famers dining along side us!

The baby back ribs were wonderful. While the appetizer of chicken tenders was too salty, the manager was very concerned about our happiness with the overall the dining experience. He offered another item and a free dessert. A great place and will definitely return. The memorabilia is worth the visit!

We dine out a great deal, and consider this restaurant one of the best all around dining experiences . Superior waitstaff, incredible atmosphere what with a museums worth of memorabilia, and quality food at a fair price.
