Domo 77 - Aurora
Located on Route 34 just west of Route 59, near the Fox Valley Mall.
This is the first time for me at this location since they moved from Wheaton. I think it’s OK for a locals. I just came back from a cruise and had teppanyaki while in the shop. That was an exceptional experience in both quality of food (amazingly fresh seafood and steaks) and service plus entertainment.
Hibatchi chef barely talked to us and gave the impression that he didn’t want to be there and wanted to finish and go as soon as possible. Three chicken dishes were raw. Service was subpar. Check gave credit for $50 Groupon but then cashier overcharged my credit card. They refunded the$50 in cash and gave $25 gift card for raw chicken dishes — despite the fact that we paid about $75 for those dishes. Total debacle. Have been here several times with good experience - after this one we won’t be back. Nowhere near worth the $400+ bill.

Very good value for the amount spent. Food could use some more flavors and be a bit stronger that what it is now.
The waitress wouldn’t pay alternation what was said, about the salad and other things, and had to be told and reminded to bring the steamed rice. The chef was horrible, vegetables still raw, fried rice burnt, steamed rice crunchy. ALSO AND WORST. My husband and I both got very sick from the dinner! It was the only thing we had eaten in common in two days and we were both sick as dogs. DONT GO HERE.
I won’t be back- service was very, very slow.
Restrooms went right by the kitchen and both were dirty.
They didn’t have enough chefs for such a large restaurant.
Food itself wasn’t bad- lobster, filet, shrimp and veggies all were good and portions were large.
We were there about a year ago, and the food was awesome! So bummed this time wasn't very good especially the fried rice! It tasted funny. All 4 of us didn't eat it! Don't think we'd go back again. Too bad because the waitress was very nice.
I had a groupon and a special birthday gift certificate sent to me by Domo for $25 off a $75 and I was only allowed to use one discount.
There was no wow factor or real interaction with the chef.
Food was just ok.
The chef was kind, entertaining and good at what he was doing. The service was great the food was very delicious. My wife and I really enjoyed sitting across from the grill watching the chef prepare the meal. The only thing that we had a problem with was that we didn't know the other people sitting at the grill and they weren't very friendly with the exception of the nice couple sitting to our right. When I go again it will be be reservations for 6.
It was our first time going there and it was a really great experience.
We had friends over for the weekend and wanted to eat dinner somewhere that would be memorable. We chose Domo 77.
They didn’t do any tricks and my kids and our out of towner guest was upset as we hyped up the amazing place this is.
This is my husband favorite restaurant! Very friendly and the food is awesome.

The food was great, the service was good and helpful. I would have liked to have the servings spread out longer. The appetizers came, then the soup came before we got started with the sushi roll, the then the salad came, the the cook started preparing the dinner before we were done with the salad. Felt rushed, we had a party of 3 no one else at our table, nor were there anyone waiting for tables so there was no reason to rush us.
We went to Domo 77 for Mother’s Day and all of us (my wife, our 6yo, our 2yo, and I) had a very exciting time. The chef had a very good sense of humor (great with the kids, and was very skillful. We would totally recommend the experience to anyone no matter the age. 5 stars for the flower handed to my wife.
The service was very friendly and our chef was fantastic as was the food. I assume it was just a very busy night Saturday 5/11/19. It took 50 minutes after sitting down before anyone asked for our main meal order and over an hour before we got our salads.
I am gluten free. My recommendation for others that are gluten free is that you really pay attention when the cook is preparing your food. We told him ahead of time that I was gluten free and he brought my scallops out that had been floured. We pointed that out to him and he had the waitress bring more without flour but then proceeded to prepare mine in he exact same spot as he did the floured ones.
Steak was tough and our chief was not that entertaining Have been there many times and this was the worst. Probably won’t go back
We celebrated my mom's 66th birthday. The staff was very patient with her requests as the birthday girl, and treated us very well!
Everything was SO delicious! Our waiter was kind and attentive. The chef entertained us. Family friendly! We will come again!
I have not been to Domo in a Long time. I was easy going. We sat at a table with a very Quiet family and the entertainment value was low because they were not energetic. BRING FRIENDS. the food and service were Great

As soon as we walked in we were attended in a timely manner and were sat down right away..
Everything was great, the food was amazing!
Steak and lobster were perfectly cooked.
The only thing I didn’t like were the mixed drinks.

food was good . service took too long. we waited seated 30 minutes without any drinks and waiting for them to take our order

This was the first time to this location and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was very delicious and they accommodated our request for no salt and easy butter. We had enough for 2 more meals with leftovers. Would recommend shrimp scallops and chicken

They always provide the best service and food. We go back as often as we can.
The restaurant was basically empty so it was pretty quiet. The shrimp tasted old and the fried rice was burnt / overcooked as were the eggs in it. Don't plan to ever return. Our family felt I'll after leaving probably from the bad shrimp. Won't be returning.
Great service. loved the food. Was a birthday dinner, so they got a scoop of ice cream, and a candle, and sang the birthday song in Japanese! pretty cool.

It was just not that good, it is not worth the hefty prices. It is so hot and crowded and there is little to no room to move around at your seat. The food was okay but the server and chef didn’t listen to our order fully which is frustrating because we paid for something we did get and we paid for something we didn’t want .

We were on a family outing and had a great evening out.
There was no point in reserving via pentacle. We showed up 10min early and wound up waiting almost 45min to be seated.
While it needs a bit of a face lift for the interior, our awesome chef made up for it! It was a great time as was the food.
I made a reservation online for 7:00pm and then called to confirm. It was a complete cluster when we came in right at 7:00. Nobody knew where to go or wait. I was cut in line twice. I waited over 10 minutes just to give the hostess my name. She didn’t even care that I said I had a reaevation, she just scribbled a number down on a piece of paper and didn’t even write my name. She told me it would be 5-10 minutes. HA!!
Then we sat and waited another 20 minutes. Watching several people that came in after us get seated. Finally there weren’t many of us left and the hostess came over asking how many in the party to the right of us who walked in after us... they said two... then asked how many I’m the party to the left of us who walked in after us... they said four... then she asked me, I said 4. Then she grabbed the other two groups, both of which came in after us, and went to seat them. I said something out loud about us getting there over 30 minutes ago with a reservation and long before any of the other parties, and nothing.... she walked away and answered a phone. A few minutes later, the other party of 4 told us to take their spot since they had literally just walked in and were waiting not even 3 minutes. She eventually came back from her phone call...
Anndddd 40 minutes after my reservation, we were seated. From there the service continued to suck. We didn’t eat until 8:30 at least.
