We celebrated my husbands 60th Birthday (party of 11). Everything was perfect. The food was delicious. Also, the servers and staff took such great care of us. We had our 5 grandchildren under the age of 5 and they loved the show. Also the staff came over and sang Happy Birthday to top off the night. Thank You so much for a memorable evening!

Ive been going to Domo 77 for over 23 years, first in Wheaton even had my wedding rehearsal dinner here) and since Aurora one opened we have been going here. Up until 1 yr ago when we moved 3.5 hrs away to Indianapolis, we would go to Domo 77 for dinner every other week. We would have gone more if our budget allowed it and if Covid wouldn’t have interfered. After moving we still drive the 3.5 hrs to eat here whenever possible. We do this not because there aren’t hibachi steak houses in Indy (we have several) but instead because Domo 77 is so much better than any other hibachi place we have ever experienced. It is so much better than all the others first in taste which is pretty important and second in quality and price which also matters, and lastly is just as good if not better as far as “table show” (cooks performance)or service level. For me, they have ALWAYS gone above and beyond in service so much that I feel like the workers and owner (mostly same ones all this time) feel like family.My 1st hibachi was 1990 at Benihana and it was good but I still think Domo is much better, if for no other reason then tasting better its much more economical! No ginger sauce & dressing compares and one of the best things Domo has is the French garlic that you can get on shrimp or other item or as I love on the side (alone)a bite full of their cooked French garlic dipped in their ginger sauce is perfection) The filet is always great quality and cooked perfect (done as ordered but still juicy and tasty). And even though I’m full after free salad, soup, veggies, and shrimp, and not free filet and garlic you still get whole bowl of amazing fried rice which I take home with ginger sauce on it (heats up amazing) I read reviews about place being “empty” when others dined and I think a lot of places haven’t recovered from Covid (movies are empty alot still too) but it’s no reflection on quality! If it’s empty (hasn’t been for us)Be glad you get private dining at Domo! It’s THE BEST!!

Our chef did not do as many “tricks” as the chef at the next table. With 2 small kids looking forward to the tricks , we were a bit disappointed. The food tasted good though.

Was told we were not able to use a coupon because it was ‘too old’ (there was no expiration date and it was a legitimate coupon). Very minimal showmanship - made the steaming onion train, that was literally it. No shrimp tails in the hat, no flipped rice bowls, etc. This is a restaurant you go to for the experience and there was basically none. We used to come semi-regularly, we’ll find a new place.

We booked a reservation for my wife’s birthday at Monday at 6:30 only to find out upon arrival that they are not open on Mondays. We should not have been able to make a reservation when they are closed.

We’ve been coming here for years. The experience has definitely changed over time. We had to wait a very long time to be waited on. The “show“ has shrunk in duration and enthusiasm. The food is still good. I do wish that the food were served in a different order though. The veggies should come first! Other restaurants do it that way.

Took forever to get a cook. They missed out on bringing more drinks while we waited. Then they didn't honor a gift card that clearly didn't have an expiration date. Said they no longer take them and that was it. Only picked that place because I had 25 off.

We had a 7pm reservation for my daughters birthday, we got seated quickly but a chef did not start cooking our food til after 8 pm. Very busy and not enough chef's on staff. Food was delicious!

We love Domo. The service and food is consistently excellent. And a bonus, we had our favorite cook. We think he’s Hispanic but is so so good and very funny and engaging. One of the best parts. We celebrated my husbands 70th birthday. It was off the charts good. Thank you for an excellent evening. We will be back over and over.

Fresh food and live entertainment all in one. Having your chef making everything in front of you while also joking around and talking with you and your tablemates is a unique treat. The food is some of the finest Japanese cuisine in the area. Come and enjoy!

1:45 wait for the food with no communication on what was happening with the order. For a restaurant that is about experience, they missed every mark. On my way out I was handed a 25 dollar coupon, which will sit unused because of how poor the experience was.

We went as a family with 2 kids (8 and 3) with reservations for 4 at 5:30pm on New Year’s Eve. They were slammed and couldn’t seem to keep up with the volume of patrons. We weren’t seated immediately and the hostess didn’t even ask if we had reservations. Granted, we were seated within 5 minutes which was absolutely fine. When we were seated, we were given menus and offered drinks right away. When they came back with our drinks, they took our orders. The people across from us had a large party and were there before we were. So, we proceeded to sit there with our waters and kids lemonades for over an hour with no one to check on us or refresh our empty drinks. Our kids were getting restless and complaining that they were starving. The people across from us who had 4-5 small kids with them got appetizers that came around the 1 hour point. About 30 minutes after they got their appetizers, a chef finally came to our table. He was doing the bare minimum to entertain our table, and wasn’t playful. It was quicker than any hibachi restaurant I’ve experienced before. Less than 10 minutes from start to finish. But the food was good and hot. The people across from us who were there before us still hadn’t been served. We all thought the chef would somehow do both sides of the table at the same time but when he didn’t, we thought he’d just move to them immediately after us, but that wasn’t the case. He left quickly and never returned. So we were eating dinner and the other side of the table with their empty drinks and empty appetizer plates were looking at us eating the entire time we were there. When they finally brought us our check about another 45 minutes later, that’s when the other side finally got a chef to cook for them. We didn’t get out of there until 8:30. The bathrooms weee clean and well stocked. Everything tasted great. The service wasn’t good and no one communicated with us the entire time.

Very few people there for a Saturday night. Ive been there a few times before with no problem, but this was a problem from the start. Bad attitudes from hostess and server. Chef looked like he wanted to. E elsewhere znd cooked like it. Worst food and service ever! We won’t be back.

I've been going there for years. Seems like Rice and Vegetable portions have gone down a bit. Food quality seems consistant year over year. My family of 4 were the only ones at the table and we were charged a 18% gratuity fee. Don't seem to remember that for a small party. Meal and an alcoholic drink for each will run you approximately 250.

I felt the service was slow. Drinks came slowly and the chefs waited on multiple tables before coming to cook for us., although we were there before them all. The “show” wasn’t impressive. I felt the chef was not interested and just went through the motions of his “show.” The dining room looks old and could use an update.
