It was a busy place both indoor and outdoor. All protocols were being done carefully. Our food was delicious! Dominic’s has been around a long time. Family run and a treasure for our town! Take out is available too. Don’t miss out!
Impeccable service and our meal was excellent. I combined two if their entrees in too one so love they were able to do that.
Amazing! The food and service was excellent!
Excellent food arrived hot
Our meal was very good. The salmon pasta special was tasty. The salmon could’ve had a bit more flavor. But otherwise tasty. The Halibut was cooked just right. Juicy and tender.
Everything was perfect. Go there. Drinks, service, wine, food, environment. All of it. Do it.
Always great food.
Great meal except restaurant was freezing
Very very nice
It's the best! Excellent + highly consistent food & service always, have kept going back for years.
Great food and service...
Valerie was an awesome server. Food was fabulous. We truly enjoyed our family dinner.
Food and service wonderful as always, highly recommend...doing a great job in difficult times
Service was extremely slow. We ordered a bottle of wine we arrived and did not it for over 15 minutes. Explanation was that only the manager had the key to the wine cellar and he had been tied up.
In our last two experiences here, the service has been inadequate.
Service was slow...fair at best. But they did just reopen. The owner was yelling at an employee. Food was great!
Really great return from a difficult situation . Great food, service and great value
The Food as always was wonderful and nice ambiance the service is very friendly and attentive, The whole experience was a pleasure and a most enjoyable evening with friends
I always try to have Italian when in St. Louis (my home town) so we chose Dominics in Clayton for my birthday celebration as it was close to our hotel. We had a large group and they provided us with a private room. Service was very good, prompt and informational. the food was excellent. We had a variety of dishes and all were raved about by our group. They accommodated and served us a cake brought in by my sister, which was a nice gesture.
it is quite expensive as our meal for 10 was just over $400, but highly recommended for food, service and ambiance.
Just had soup and salad. Everything was good.
Outstanding. Food was excellent as always.
First time there. Great experience overall. The food is amazing!
Great food and service. Ravioli dishes and veal Josephine are our favorites. The couple we were with loved the gnocchi
Went for Valentine dinner, it was excellent as always. Our waitrees was great, but seemed to be a little over extended because if the crowd, and things were a little delayed in coming. Remains one of my top five places to eat in St. Louis.
We enjoyed a wonderful family Valentine’s Day dinner at Dominics. The service and food were great. Our table location at the front, near the entry was somewhat distracting. Overall, we enjoyed our meal together.
The service was great, our waitress was attentive and fun, and the food absolutely delicious!
Nice time tonight
We made the reservation during Clayton Restaurant week and were looking forward to the special menu listed. After we were seated and got a round of drinks we were told they were not honoring the promotion and we could leave if we wanted. They said they were supposed to have called earlier in the day, but they did not despite having my phone number. We stayed, because it was already 8:30pm at that point, but our service was not great. The food was good, but not what had been promised and it was slow. Our waiter did not handle the promotion mix up well at all. I feel they were deceitful in the way they handled things. I will not go back
My partner and I were there last Saturday, during Clayton restaurant week. When we asked about the restaurant week menu, our waiter went on to tell us what the specials for the night were, and by specials, I mean the specials restaurants always have, so I asked again and told her I was asking about the $35 menu. Her response was that Dominic’s was just participating on weekdays, so it was already over, she acknowledged the website for restaurant week did not specify that they were not participating weekends, and said we could still order from it, and said she would try to find the one menu in the restaurant, by the time she found it, I was no longer feeling comfortable and even felt guilty about ordering from it, instead we ordered from the regular menu. The restaurant should have either owned up to the mistake or had the organizers fix it, instead of making clients feel uncomfortable. Not the waiter’s fault at all about this mixup, but still her service was lacking by having me ask twice about restaurant week before giving me an answer and not welcoming overall compared to other restaurants at this price point.
It’s always a wonderful meal and experience! Twice we have gone for Clayton Restaurant Week in the last year-August and January. Both times they advertised on the Restaurant Week website, complete with menu and prices. In August we brought three guests. Table of 5. We were told they were not participating period by our server. I thought I was crazy! But there it was on the Restaurant Week website with menu and all. I didn’t say anything and we had a great dinner. But I was shocked by the false advertising! We went back last Saturday during Restaurant Week. Again the menu was posted on the Clayton Restaurant website. Our server said weekends were not part of Restaurant Week. Really?? False advertising at a minimum! Bait and switch? Hubby spoke to the owner and she would honor the advertised deal. Nice enough. In August, the server treated us like cheapskates, very bad attitude and acted like we made up Restaurant Week!! You have a great Restaurant and should either participate or not!! Decide!! 😱😱😱 Two difficult dinners.... How many guests will try a third time. It’s a great way to get guests in the door so they’ll come back with no deal! Good luck with that!!
We usually go to Dominic's on the Hill which is one of our favorites, but the Trattoria was available last minute reservation for six and it was fantastic. Our entire family loved it - and our wallet appreciated that it was a Trattoria so less pricey.
We went for restaurant week and were very happy with the variety of menu options. The salmon was excellent as was the egg plant Parmesan. Nice neighborhood gem.
Food and drink selection was very good. As was table service. Well worth future visits. Upon entering and exiting the restaurant I felt warmth was lacking in greeters comments.
Food was good. Prices were $$$ not $$. Valet was a pain and unnecessary.
Excellent Chilean sea bass. Service was also great.
It was over the holidays and perhaps a little noisier because of larger groups. It was cold outside and we requested a non-window table which was ready for us when we arrived. Valet service was very efficient. Our server was delightful and the food was excellent and they had a good selection of Italian wines and somewhat reasonable.
Overbooked and I found them rude. We left and went somewhere else
Not a great experience. We are regulars and were surprised by the minimal menu, lots of confusion and everyone seemed a bit frantic. Not the most enjoyable experience.
It was our families first time visiting Dominic‘s. It was everything that we were looking for great Christmas holiday spirit excellent food and tremendously accommodating service!
Thanks Val for everything !
We went to Dominic’s for my daughters birthday. The service was excellent and the food was delicious!
