Great service and the food was amazing. They also offered a great happy hour that was a surprise for the table. In addition, they welcomed our dog and had their own dog menu. Fun for the kids and we left with a happy family. Thank you
Despite making a reservation through open table, and receiving a confirmation, the restaurant was closed to outdoor and indoor dining.
Sent my daughter for her 3 year anniversary dinner. They had a great time. Service and food was excellent. Highly recommend.
A nice lunch outside on the wharf on a beautiful day.
Just plain outstanding food, excellent service and a great location. The swordfish was so delicious, the sand dabs equally as good. They provide heaters over each table so it’s comfortable when dining outdoor. We had a great waiter which made it just that much better. We highly recommend dining here for any occasion. We’ll be back many times.
What a gem! The food was delicious, the wine selection was superb and the professional service was spot on. Although it was outside dining only, they provided us heat lamps to sit under which was a big plus for me because it was quite chilly and windy outside. Perhaps a suggestion to the owners - add a solid wall instead of the crab cages to buffer the wind?
Overall, this was a very pleasant dining experience.
This is a great restaurant with fabulous service!!! The food and drinks are fantastic. I would highly recommend dining here.
Expensive, tourist prices. But, hands down the BEST clam chowder I've ever had !
Great service, good food. Need more heating lamps for outdoor dining.
Always a favorite with us! Food is delicious and consistent.
This a charming wharf restaurant with fresh seafood prepared in delicious variations. The owner was very friendly and proud of his excellent food. Service was efficient and timely.
Due to Covid indoor dining was closed and outside was chilly. In spite of this I would still highly recommend this restaurant!
Great place first time having Sand Dabs so glad I did!
We love Domenico's and always go there when we are in Monterey. We just love this restaurant. We had no idea how they would handle things during COVID-19. We were pleasantly surprised. Outdoor dining -- safe and comfortable with incredibly cautious food and table servers (gloved and masked). The food was fabulous as always! I love the Crab Louie, and had the Prawns Scampi Castroville -- and my husband enjoyed the oysters and clams on linguine -- not to mention fun cocktails and fabulous desserts. A great, and really safe, time that actually reduced our pandemic stress.
Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday a little early. I did specify it was his birthday when making the reservation but it was not acknowledged. It wasn't even first time a restaurant staff has overseen a special occasion so I chose not to press the issue. The food was wonderful and I'd add photos but the files are too large and I don't feel like editing. It was a little cold even with the heat lamp right above us but we had been expecting that.
Heaters in the expanded portion of the out door dining would be welcomed, but the evening was great!
It was my daughter’s 12 th birthday. We had great food and service.
We’ve been here several times. On this occasion we drove from San Jose primarily to lunch at Delmonico’s. My friend has enjoyed the lobster tail here on previous visits. The lobster tail was tough and had very little good taste. There was an overwhelming amount of spices on it. It probably was severely overcooked and may have been stored too long or improperly. I complained in clear language to the waiter. He said that he would talk to the cook. No relief. The lobster tail was a complete waste of $65.
My fiancé and I had a wonderful time, the waiters were very attentive and helpful. The food was amazing.
The food is delicious. Our waiter and the service was great. While it is outside dining only currently, we could see they have tables that look out over the water which we will request when inside dining is allowed again. We will be back!
They have it together when it comes to social distancing, especially seeing how many people were out on the wharf on a Sunday. Good food, great value on some of the wines as well. Service was personable and the food was delicious.
Amazing dinner at Domenico's on the Warf. They were open for dinner with an outdoor table on the pier. It was an exciting environment with our table right on the boardwalk. Food was great and service was friendly and attentive.
Due to Covid19 we were able to reserve a nicely shaded outdoor table for 4. Weather was perfectly warm on this Saturday and the wharf was very crowded from out-of-towners looking for coastal reprieve from inland heat wave. Cocktails, appetizers, entrees, and dessert were all very good. Will definitely return for lunch on a weekday.
We were 30 minutes late reservation. I know it was a busy night. They called us 3 times. We were lost. The owner/GM. Just a total Dick.
I had the Fresh Local Petrale Sole a la Muniere. It was delicious. But my wife had the Prawn Scampi with local Artichokes and it WAS the BEST either of us have ever had! If I could eat that once a week I would be in Heaven! And Nick, our Waiter, did a really great job. With "COVID" going on, they really stepped it up and made it nice. Right on the OLD Fisherman's Wharf Pier! Awesome!
Excellent food. Amazing waiter! Make reservations to avoid a wait.
Food was great and hot. Server was amazing. Water never empty and plates taken promptly. I actually enjoyed eating on the outside and watching the warf activities. Will definitely be back.
Granted, this was during Covid, so ambience not much in their control, but busser led us to believe we could only buy bottled water, which wasn't the case. Very shady. Our expensive cocktails were terrible and watered down. Only one of our party of four enjoyed his entree (ciopinno). My salmon was very salty and I couldn't even finish it. One of our party had the fettucini alfredo with chicken, and ended up getting sick that night and is sure it was her dinner. We had heard so many great things about this restaurant, but we would never go there again.
Considering due to covid-19 we all had to dine outside, it was a lovely evening out. The staff even moved us to a better table to alleviate some of the noise as we were celebrating our anniversary. The food was very good. The service was wonderful.
Host was great and personable. Server was knowledgeable and attentive. Scallops wrapped in bacon were delicious.
Following the COVID guidelines- I do feel that the table are way too close to other guests. Overall, food was alright. Nothing spectacular!
The restaurant was nice but the owner wasn't very friendly to us. He introduced himself to everyone white but stopped short of black and asian customers. Sad because is also italian. Our waiter was great as well as the rest of the staff. :) Not sure I would return in that's times.
Outdoor dining is just as good as indoor dining before Covid 19.
Sitting at a table on the wharf was a mistake on our part. Too noisy and the people walking by close enough to touch our food was uncomfortable. From the dirty bread plate to the poor server and soggy vegetables it was not an enjoyable experience. Sand dabs were good though.
Had to wait for the table, but a busy Saturday evening in sunny Monterey in Covid-19 conditions not a problem.
Great staff, friendly, helpful & serving Great food.
My wife and I eat here annually because it has the best crab I’ve ever eaten. The atmosphere is nice and the staff attentive and friendly.
Enjoyed a lovely dinner in the middle of this Covid mess. We sat out in front of the restaurant and had an incredible meal. Everything we ordered was great, from the Alaskan King Crag to the clam chowder. Love this place
The food was very good overall, and staff went out of their way to provide good service in a difficult situation — street eating on a very busy and chilly night on the Wharf.
LOVE the service. Great job! Presentation of the food was good, we just expected larger servings - especially for the Mixed Seafood plate. Good selection of desserts and doggie food! Due to the COVID restrictions I couldn't comment on more but it was a nice dinner despite the new normal. Thank you for welcoming our family for dinner.
this is by far the best seafood you're going to find in Monterrey's old fisherman's wharf. The service is excellent!
Great food, drinks and wine. Their fresh prawn are huge and deliciously prepared. A must visit on pier!
